sazzles welcome back, glad ypu had a wonderful time, no way on earth would I have been able to resist cheese, bread and the like...
You were on holiday, no one should diet on holiday.

vg hi, could you be..well you know??

well I weighed this am as didn't get chance yesterday. I am down to 10st 1.
Not bad, bit more to go.

VintageGardenia · 18/07/2009 20:15

nope definitely not! Plenty of practice but haven't actually started down the road yet... .

good result for you no1! And Sazz that's pretty good after a French hollier, you'll be right back on track again this week.

cyteen · 18/07/2009 20:49

Yes, holidays don't count Sazz When in Devon next month, you can believe that I'll be applying myself to a minimum of one cream tea a day

oopsacoconut · 18/07/2009 21:27

Hi all

I'm not really here. My levels were not low enough so no exercise but am starting a healthy eating stint to try and help myself. I was 3kgs lighter at the appointment which is good considering I have done nothing but sit on my butt!

Sazzles you can't have indulged that much if it was only 3lbs

No1 16lb that is fab!

Some good stuff going on here

Wow Oops 3kg without really trying, well done! Just think how well you'll get on when you can exercise too

No1 2.5lb is it this week? That's brill too . Almost single figures . Have you decided on an ultimate target or just gonna keep going while you can?

Sazles 3lb on, pah, that's nowt . I remember going on an all-inclusive holiday a few years ago, think I put on about 8lb

Cyteen I like the idea of one cream tea per day

VG glad you're keeping healthy (and exercising ) even if you don't want to weigh in any more. It's all about how you feel not what you weigh anyway. I have been shocked that I have lost loads, but have a size 18 skirt that is still too tight

ALBS OK sounds like you have had a fabulous foody birthday . Just jump back in when you're ready

Back to normal for me now too, although still a bit too weak for any excessive exercise. SIL kindly sent a big box of chocs to aid my recovery, not being too good on rationing them but if I share with DH and DD the damage won't be too bad in the end My next target is another 5lb bringing me to 12 7lb at which point I will be nearer to normal than obese and hoping to achieve this by DS' birthday soI cancelebratewithcake

Hi there no hots don't mean I don't want to weigh in any more! Gosh I have not got to the point where I can abandon the struggle .

Tis Friday innit, the weigh-in day... I will start again this Fri. (Weighing in I mean.)

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 19/07/2009 15:17

Hi oops no wasnt me that lost 16lb think it was hotter. hotter I would like to get to 9st 7 ish. Dh said NO he did't like me when I was that weight. wtf that wa swhat I weighed when we met.
He thinks 9st 12.
I agree with you though its not what is on the scale it is how you feel.
I was 10.8 when i started this but although clothes little baggier, i dont feel much different tbh. Still hate what I see, but I know that more excersie will make the differnce.

Sazzles you can do 12 5 if you want, I'm doing 12 7 DS' birthday is 08.08 so target date will be 07.08 which scarily is 2 weeks on Friday Having got weighed again this morning [stupid] it appears some of last week's loss may have been down to dehydration so better get my hot mama healthy-eating head back on quick smart.

Chocolates all gone

I'm guessing you mainly need a bit of toning No1 if 1/2 stone is all you've got to lose Did you manage to find another pole DVD?

Oo oo oo I want some manly toning too please! Can we have whoever we want doing it??

I have walked my socks off, 6 miles yest and 2.5 today, planning that 2.5 for the next 4 days too, as is right beside sailing course ds1 is doing this week.

I have 3 weeks till ds2's birthday but we will be on hols by then so want to be in good shape by then (also as will be cycling for week) but am only planning another 4lb by then, should I be upping the ante, I ask myself.

Hotter sorry some of your good loss was temporary, but you had been doing brilliantly up to illness & will deffo be able to get to your target.

Sazz super that you are back in the groove post hol, you are an inspiration .

Guess what, I stuffed myself into my size 12 jeans. I looked absolutely horrible in them but both button and zip were definitely fastened! All the squidgy bits squidged over the top though, repellent. Aim: wear them comfortably & looking as if they actually belonged to me . My prob is I am top-heaving, legs & backside etc I am not really bothered about, they are reasonably OK (I mean not by Helena Christiansen's standards or whatever but by mine), it's the whole midsection, shoulders, boobs (shrunk since stopped bf though), back etc that I don't like and is where I am overweight. Anyway enough. Like you No1 even though I am lighter and clothes are better I still don't feel right so gotta keep ploughing on.

VintageGardenia · 20/07/2009 12:10

LOL at myself before anyone else can TOP-HEAVING obv I meant top-heavy, any top heaving is strictly not to be shared with thread members!!!

Excellent work on getting back to 12-something Sazzles

Not going too well here, I had a custard doughnut yesterday, and a big slice of coffee and walnut cake today, which was deeeeelicious. In my defence I did have salad for lunch and have been traipsing around all day, plus i think I need a bit of strengthening food after my illness. OK enough excuses . Back to work tomorrow so hopefully I'll be OK away from temptation.

sazzles well done you.
vg that walking is great, especially carrying ds.

hotter I have had 2 pieces of cake. One yesterday, but didnt like it, and one today that was ok but did eat for the sake of it.
I have also had bread yesterday and this morning.(but dont feel too guilty about the bread as I don't eat it much at all now) So back to being good now.
I feel shite staying inside, and think I may have developed cabin fever. Must get out and about this week. just scared to pass on my dcs germs to other children.
Even if it is more walks to park with dc's

fresh air makes me feel better.

hotterpotter · 22/07/2009 18:42

Sazzles I disagree, that coffee and walnut cake was deffo my friend well it was almost waving at me to eat it anyway

No1 hope you got out today for some fresh air and don't worry about the carbs, a few won't hurt!

Was slightly perturbed on another thread to read someone who is one inch shorter than me and weighs just 5lb less is size 16 top and 12-14 bottom when I seem to be stuck in my size 18 groove so I bought some size 16 M&S jeans on my way home and they fit me . My belly still looks disgusting like I have a cushion stuffed in my trousers, but they are size 16 trousers woo hoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello have had delish risotto (pea and asparagus) has had friend to supper. Lovely fresh salad with it though with bits from garden (scraggly bits).

Re. sizing there is hardly consistency between shops, I find, I can vary two sizes up or down depending on where I shop.

I haven't drunk nearly enough water this week. I never do when out & about because can't be bothered finding loos all the time (stupid I know).

I will weigh tomorrow (panic!!!)

hotterpotter · 24/07/2009 07:26

LOL at heavy bones . What you have Sazzles is muscle which is sadly missing from the hotter frame. 5th week at work and still no swim I will go next week. Well done on the gym, did you enjoy it?

VG pea risotto with salad sounds delish and very healthy. Hope you get your reward on the scales today

Well these Fridays seem to come round fast, but hurrah I've lost another 2lb , am now 12 10 and on target to be 12 7 by DS' birthday Which means DS' birthday is in 2 weeks, eek better get the party started...
