Hey Sazzles hope you don't mind the nameheck but you are our inspiration [crawly bumlick]

No chance to ExerSazz today due to bedtime meltdown plus domestic drudgery goddessness, have huge pan of bolognese sauce simmering plus some tomato sauce for sausage meatballs tomorrow. Walked into town and back pushing ten ton ted DS in his pushchair so that maybe counts as 0.5 ExerSazz

40 lengths completed today and good food wise (grapefruit, salad & rice cakes, spag bol & yoghurt)

Gymming (word??) tomorrow so may attempt 10k again as i think i have 1.5hrs of creche time

Hope you managed to get on the bike Hots?

I have also switched DD1's swimming lesson from Friday to a Monday which will make it easier to go for a swim myself beforehand. I can then go Fridays when DH is at home rather than dragging both girls to the pool.

Dizz & VG - understandable that neither of you are focussing on this with bigger worries but a big HotMama hug for you and an Options hot choccie to help you along

hotterpotter · 03/12/2009 12:11

No swimming yesterday due to bad mood / DH being an arse so looking like I will be plateauing again this week. Oh well, that's better than going up again I suppose...

Sazz I hope you got your run in today

OP posts:
SazzlesOnASled · 03/12/2009 15:29

10k in 59:32. woo woo . And the icing on the cake - 750 calories [hurrah]

Really didn't think i would make it as my little toe hurt , but i thought of you lot cheering me on from your virtual worlds and managed to keep on running. So thankyou all for being there in the background

Sorry to hear no swim for you hots . Will you get a chance for something tomorrow? I suspect a plateau for me this week too as this morning i was still slightly over last week's weight. However AF has gone and today been good (with loads of water) so with an sprinkle of magic an early poo you never know

hotterpotter · 03/12/2009 18:40

Well done Sazz, and running with a poorly toe, that's dedication . Are you eating the icing on the cake now then?

When I said swimming yesterday I meant cycling, doh, as Friday is now my swim day. Won't be going tomorrow, as I have another surefire method of losing a bit of weight and it is called my driving test

Have been good today though, had an extra apple rather than biscuits at work this arvo, and all being well I will get on the bike tonight, no rush to get to bed as no work in the morning

OP posts:
dizzycringles · 03/12/2009 20:36

well done Sazz

hotterpotter · 03/12/2009 21:53

15 miles in 41 minutes

Good luck for the morning everyone!

SazzlesOnASled · 03/12/2009 22:02

You too Hots. Well done

VintageGardenia · 04/12/2009 07:36

Thanks for hug 'n' Options Sazz and MASSIVELY well done on your 10k, 10k in under an hour is my goal so hope to be there soon though have just realised race is Saturday week .

hots your cycling is so impressive! 15 miles in 41 mins is brilliant. In the summer you'll be able to be out & about on bike & have such fun with the dc too. Your legs must be in top shape.

Have only scraped 2 short ie 5K runs this week so not v good on exerSazz however going to take dogs for big walk after school run (am dogsitting my mum's surviving dog while she's in). Think will save weigh-in till I've done the walk!

SazzlesOnASled · 04/12/2009 07:52

Morning VG, so nice to see you . And well done on the runs - a while ago 2 5k runs would have seemed a massive achievement

Same weight here which is a bit depressing as i have been v v good. However as we all know these thinmgs go in peaks and troughs so i will bide my time

Walking to and from preschool this morning (3 mile) and swim this avo

hotterpotter · 04/12/2009 10:33

Welcome back VG, hope things are settling down with your mum and you get a good big walk in this afternoon. 2X 5km is amazing and would have me if not dead then definitely in a quivering heap!

Sazz that is a bummer but you have had two brill weigh ins in a row so maybe it was time for a rest. I'm sure you'll be down again next week

I can heartily recommend a lie-in enabling an extra wee before weigh-in, as I managed to lose 1.5lb this week

OP posts:
dizzycringles · 04/12/2009 11:58

weigh in this morning shows I have stayed the same which I am delighted with considering appetite is back [meep] I have been trying to keep a rein on it though

booked to to for gym visit again on Monday morning so fingers crossed friend can make it this week - I need her to introduce me for an introductory offer thingy

well done Hots and Sazz your efforts continue to be fantastic as ever

VG I think considering all the trauma you've had with mammy gardenia you've done brilliant to get those 2 runs in

I have such a hectic week next week, 2 meetings, PIL arriving, playgroup duty, shift in cafe and I'm returning to work for 4 shifts - if I don't manage to get some excercise in I should at least be to busy to remember to eat

having the girls round for a vino and nibbles night so am promising nothing re the vino but shall set the nibbles on the other side of the room from me

SazzlesOnASled · 04/12/2009 13:33

LOL Dizzy. Having read that I am just wondering what do thin girls do to socialise? Vino and nibbles sounds like a perfect night to me

I guess they squeeze into their hotpants and dance the night away whilst downing a few neat voddies. [too tired and old emoticon]

SazzlesOnASled · 04/12/2009 18:46

Swam a mile this afternoon and walked 3 miles this morning in the beautiful freezing cold sunshine. Felt good

dizzycringles · 05/12/2009 21:57

Sazzles, I managed not to go for a badly needed fry up so thats my achievement for today

SazzlesOnASled · 06/12/2009 14:57

Errrr, i failed the fry up test this morning

And the burger, chips, crisps and alcohol test yesterday

dizzycringles · 06/12/2009 17:01

meatballs and spaghetti tonight though so not convinced how virtuous that is

gym for 'chat' in morning [meep] she'll probably take one look at me and say 'ah love, you've no hope, off you pop now'

SazzlesOnASled · 06/12/2009 19:43

Ungraciously accepts that the crown must be relinquished

Not too bad today with half a slice of bread and mackerel pate for lunch and stovies and wine for tea. Really will be back on it tomorrow but i fear i will need to shade my eyes from the scales in the cold light of day tomorrow

By the sounds of it Hots was pretty crap too this weekend so we are all in good company

dizzycringles · 06/12/2009 19:50

is R now making better stovies than me?!!? [meep]

SazzlesOnASled · 06/12/2009 19:52

No, R is sat on his arse

Twas me . Although nowhere near as good as yours

dizzycringles · 06/12/2009 19:57

ah bless you're too kind I'm sure it was lovely though

and by all accounts I think R deserves a wee rest if he did the lights without asking!

hotterpotter · 07/12/2009 08:27

Oh yes a bad weekend for me, mainly wine calories and their associated crisp garnish

In the cold light gloom of this morning I am registering +3.5 OMG I just had to recheck as thought my maths was a bit dodgy and it is in fact 4.5lb I am sure at least 3.5 of that is water retention...

OP posts:
VintageGardenia · 07/12/2009 08:45

Well I ate a whole packet of Jaffa cakes and that is not even the worst, I ate one of those large & megaicingy cupcakes too and something else I can't quite remember. However this week am full of resolve re. running, water, carbs so here we go.

What are stovies, I think they are smoked haddock / creamy little pots of yum?

dizzy good luck with the gym this morning & get a programme you are happy with.

LOL at crisp garnish.

A sadly familiar image.

hotterpotter · 07/12/2009 08:54

Well I thought stovies were some kind of scone so I just googled and I'm hungry now!
