well done ladies, am about to get the wii fit out to weigh myself

hotterpotter · 31/07/2009 13:12

Sazzles you are being so good that I doubt it is temporary. You can put that stick away too I have learned my lesson on the scales today

Dizzy don't be scared, you can do this too and it is sooo worth it. I know I was heavy with child, but this time last year I weighed 17st 10lb and today I weigh 12st 10lb andabit

Been swimming at last. Not anything like our resident waterbaby but managed half a mile in 35 minutes. Did half breast stroke and half crawl so am knackered now but chuffed

Dizzy - I did the xenical thing to try an lose weight before conceiving and only suffered the effects when I played stupid. It may be worth trying it and on prescription it's only the prescrition charge and double the dose of Alli. I lost my first stone in a month and felt fab!

hotterpotter · 31/07/2009 18:42

OhI am hungry, but we have decided to eat once DC in bed, which will help to cut down on crisp consumption. Roast garlic chicken and salad, mmmmmmmmmm

the Dr says we'll come up with a plan once I stop feeding Dylan when DH is on annual leave (starting next week) am becoming more and more reluctant to stop feeding though so am not sure how that would affect taking those

dizzydixies · 31/07/2009 20:37

oh and this date last year I'd lost >10lbs - am not so optimistic for such a good start this year

hotterpotter · 31/07/2009 20:45

Dizzy why don't you just start without pills/whatever they are, cut back some calories and try to get a bit more exercise in? You would still see some results just doing that. And don't forget every drop of breast milk has calories in, the more DD feeds the better for you

Mmmm venison [drool] chicken was very yummy, nearly wine o'clock too, hurrah!

OP posts:
dizzydixies · 31/07/2009 20:49

yes, cutting back is the way forward at the moment and moving lardy arse slightly more than normal too

had toast for brekkie, salad and chicken for lunch and mince & tatties for tea with a slither of vanilla cake

Hi ladies well donr for progreaa and hi to new recruits.
I have not left you all, and I have not caved in. Yes I have had a few bad days, but nothing silly.
I have just not been up to being sociable sorry.
vg hope you are feeling ok now, I am feeling like you described at the moment.

Not much excersise apart from horse riding.
Too tired to go in gym at home at the moment. excuses, excuses

dizzy def don't give up bf until you are ready.
Ds has not had a bf for nearly a month now. I am gutted in one respect, but I know I am being ridiculous about it as it was his choice not mine. Surely I should feel better as at least I havn't had to go through the upset of depriving him etc... I just feel so about it.
Not weighed for a week at least, will weigh in on friday.

dizzydixies · 01/08/2009 13:03

5 stone?!?!? hots you are an inspiration to me, and there is a reason to me you will always be known as hots

have not yet weighed in couldn't get the fecking wii to work (dh has jimmied the wires up through the sky or something ) and by the time I remembered last night it was bed time - he has promised me he'll do it tonight for a weigh in first thing tomorrow

No1 - there is no deprivation to speak of at all - he has obviously self weaned and is happy enough with it - please don't let it worry you in the slightest, my first two had finished feeding by 8 & 6 months respectively

hotterpotter · 01/08/2009 19:21

Cheers Dizzy Can't take all the credit though, as I lost one stone on the day my huge baby was born then another two and a bit stone just breastfeeding but not cramming cake in like I did with DD . Weight loss stalled at 14.5 stone which was what I weighed before I got pregnant (and had done give or take a few lb either way for about 8 years). Now thanks to the gentle chivvying and encouragement of the hot mamas I weigh 12st 10lb and have a pair of size 16 jeans for the first time in 'kin years

No1 do you think your sadness about bf is related to you wanting more DC but DH still saying no? I am feeling a bit wistful about it, DS still suckles a bit but there is hardly any milk left and he is 95% formula now. I'm 40 so not much chance of another but you have years to persuade your DH to let you have some just one more

Been quite good today in that I didn't have a fried egg in my bacon butty and only 2 choccy biccies instead of 4 but still, could do better

OP posts:
dizzydixies · 01/08/2009 19:30

well in that case I lost about 18lbs in one day last year having Dylan and all the associated gunk that comes with

have sternly told DH we shall be weighing in the morning - to gently remind him and he asked had I bought in the chocolate for tonight then?! I think he's about to minesweep all the crap in the house tonight so there is no longer any temptation!

having chicken & veg stir fry for tea and managed not to eat more than a morsel of DD2's choc muffin this morning

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 02/08/2009 09:30

hotter the weightloss is a fantastic achievement and I hope you are very proud of yourself.

re bf I think it was a bit to do with the fact that I wanted to enjoy it for longer knowing it would be the last time I would be doing it. No way on earth that dh would change his mind. I know some men cave in but honestly you don't know him, he is of very strong personality and has a goal in life.
Morgage paid off, retirement etc... nothing will get in the way of that.Admirable in way, but boring in another.

It would have to be an accident and even then I dread to think how he would feel (even if he never said it out loud)

TBH I feel quite happy with my 2 and don't want any more ever (at the moment) The sibling rivalry is just too hard and stressful to even consider throwing another one in. iykwim
sorry waffling on again

dizzydixies · 02/08/2009 09:52

No1 you have 2 (mainly) happy (mainly) healthy beautiful children so please don't ever apologise for waffling on - I don't know how you cope with such a small gap, I know I wouldn't and had my kids further apart on purpose because of it. I even panicked that there was a smaller gap between DD2 and Dylan and its just over 2yrs

right girls have weighed in the wii fit told me I hadn't weighed myself in 122 days and in that time I've fecking GAINED 5lbs!!! DH has of course lost 3lbs somehow (smug prick - even more smug in my eyes as he's not being smug about it and saying it must be because of sweating/walking it all off at t in the park - nobody likes a gracious smug)

DH let me sleep in after shitey night with DD2 again so he's gone back to bed whilst Dylan sleeping then we're off out with kids on the bikes and us walking and once they're in bed and DH at work this evening I'm going to get the wii active on - if you see me on here permission to fecking launch me off!!

cheerios and oj for brekker so far

sazz, not sure to be honest, we bought it for DH's fathers day gift and its still in the packet - shall tell you later

and I'm with Mr Sazz, we'll be mortgaged to the hilt till we die at this rate

sliver of birthday cake here instead of usual wadge - have given the rest away so its not sitting here winking at me

walk to park cut short by broken bike and temper tantrums - shall try again tomorrow once its fixed and may even be tempted to buy myself a new bike if DD1 gets the hang of this, the one I have in the shed I got for my 15th birthday and I think it may give way underneath me

Sazz I've no excuse, you've seen how close I am to the forest

walk sounds lovely

hotterpotter · 03/08/2009 08:18

Don't be but no mortgage in the hotter house partly due to boring lifestyle leading to monthly overpayments but mainly thanks to a dead (evil) dad and a really cheap house Normal service will hopefully be resumed next year when we get out of this urbanhellhole interesting neighbourhood and will once again be mortgaged to the max. 'Tis nice while it lasts though

And now to the less good news . Have been really quite good all weekend, not perfect but still way better than last week, and my reward is another pound up Am convinced that some of this is due to constipation as I have hardly been all week (unlike DS) so I am taking senna and upping the fruit intake in the hope of some movement

Well done on the cake-avoidance Dizzy

Sazz you are so virtuous it would be sickening if you weren't so lovely I would never have been able to resist dessert

No1 hope you are getting some horsey time in the sunshine
