ok, I'll join as you asked so nicely!

It's weigh-in day for me tomorrow so tonight is the night for denial and flagellation. So far I have lost 12.5 lbs, hoping for stone award tomorrow. I have another stone to go then I am back into a healthy weight range. I know SW works, I have done it after each of my 3 dcs but I am a bit bored now, cant stand much more bloody quorn. Ho hum, it works, nothing else does for me.

heavy · 16/07/2008 21:43

I joined a week ago - lost 1.5 lbs in first week which is a bit poor really. Must try harder. Four years since I last went (after ds was born), needless to say I weigh more now than I did then. think I would like to lose 3 stone but will probably get fed up before then.

Furball · 17/07/2008 06:51

bunny3 - I don't do quorn! What do you use quorn for? I use HE2 worth of meat instead, much better to that forfeit me thinks.

SWlurker · 17/07/2008 08:27

Hello!! Godo to see new faces!

I DO do quorn, but also beans/pulses/lentils etc - could you substitute those for a change?

I had a slip up last night so today is a fresh thread, fresh start etc. I am not going to classes for a while (V tight money situ) so have promised myself a decent set of scales next time I'm paid Until then just trying to be reasonably well on track.

colette · 17/07/2008 09:39

Hello I would like to join - like sw am not going to classes , am ordering the books off e- bay so am a bit ignorant about some basic rules.
bunny3 good to hear it works better than other diets for you. Quorn mince is like sponge yuk! I can eat the sausages with brown sauce though. Have not got loads to lose but really don't feel like me anymore iykwim . I think it will be slow . good luck all

DrZeus · 17/07/2008 09:40

I'll join. I've fallen off the SW wagon a bit recently and am about to retart classes (was at target too). Will bookmark this thread and enjoy the new motivation to get back on track.

heavy · 17/07/2008 11:23

I am dipping quorn sausages into boiled eggs instead of soldiers. (gives you shocking wind though )

justneedsomesleep · 17/07/2008 12:08

hello all!

Biting the bullet and joined slimming world last wed. First weigh in yesterday and lost 3.5 lbs! Yeah!! Wish it was 3.5 stone!
Plotting it on the sw websitew and I like it because it shows when (date) I'll be at my target!
Red day today and can't decide between chicken curry (free) or srambled eggs/bacon/mushrooms for lunch?
Also have 2 kids to cook for (2 and 9 months) so quite difficult to make sure they eat too!

Good luck everyone!

very nice new thread - although I'm not sure whether I will ever have a skinny tiny bum...

sticktoit · 17/07/2008 18:30

Hello all - thank you for new thread SW! I second Tommy's comment that I too will never have a skinny tiny bum!

Although I have to say that I am actually being good and sticking to it (living up to my name!).

I have lost 16lbs now and am soooo determined it isn't going back on.

Furball · 17/07/2008 20:25

2 lb off

hectich1979 · 17/07/2008 20:47

Well I'm back at class been going for four weeks now weigh in on a Tuesday lost 6.5lb first week, 3lb second week and maintained last two weeks! gonna kick my but into touch this week and be really good as I know Saturday will be a bad day drink wise as its my mums 50th birthday party at bowling and laser questing so looking forward to that and saving plenty of flexi sins for the vodka! but still hoping for a loss on weigh in night.

heavy · 17/07/2008 22:19

6.5lb in a week! That is fantastic - well done hectich.

SWlurker · 18/07/2008 09:11

No, I won't have a skinny tiny bum either but its good motivation to dream that I might

Yesterday was an ok day slimming-wise - I am doing it budget style at the moment as am V skint - finding out that things like sainsburys basics pasta & sauce equivilant is only 2 syns, so in my opinion worth substituting if strapped for cash (75p vs 23p)

OP posts:
sticktoit · 18/07/2008 09:27

Well done Furball!

Fingers crossed for Hectich, you get a loss this week.

Still behaving and alternating red and green days which for the moment seems to be stopping boredom creeping in!

sticktoit · 18/07/2008 09:27

Oooh, anyone know this weeks p.word?? Cheers!

colette · 18/07/2008 09:44

Sticktoit 16lb is a brilliant loss and furball well done

hectich1979 · 18/07/2008 14:19

aw thanx all, had a sneaky look on the scales this morning and have lost 2lb since Tuesdays weigh in but will be drinking alot tomw night so will see how that alters things next Tuesday. This weeks password SEAFOOD x

colette · 18/07/2008 15:23

I have just been outbid on the starter pack on e bay - it went for £25 plus p and p I think I have got my head round the basics but have only a rough idea about the healthy extras.I have spent about an hour trying to research on-line and have some gaps iykwim.
I would be really grateful if someone could answer the following;

1- re. 28g cheese is it supposed to be half fat?
2- What quantity of meat is a HE on a red day? How about tinned salmon?
3- Do you need to have 2 of A and 2 of B a day?
4- I usually like to eat wholemeal bread but full size , how would I manage two a day , would that be HE and a syn ?

Thanks for your patience if you can be bothered please include a list of the most common HE
Hectich you make me feel so old!

Peckarolloveragain · 18/07/2008 15:50

i fell off the waggon 3 weeks ago!!!!!!

going to climb back on it, will buy the new mag this weekend then start a fresh on Monday

Furball · 18/07/2008 17:00

colette - cheese can be normal cheddar. on a red day, meat is free so you can eat as much as you want including tinned salmon, you could have 10 tins if you wanted as well as a couple of chickens!!

You don't need 2 a but you do need 2 b's. yes if your bread is over your b allowance you need to syn it

Ledodgy · 18/07/2008 17:09

Hi all. I've now only got 5 pounds to lose before i'm back to where I was pre pregnancy. My nice sw consultant is counting my loss from the beginning , before I got pregnant iyswim so I got my 3 stone award again last week. I still want to lose at least another stone and a half- 2 stone so I can be a size 12.

colette · 18/07/2008 18:35

Thanks Furball- I find it hard to believe you can eat as much meat etc. as that and lose weight. You are all proof I suppose

colette · 18/07/2008 18:37
