Welcome one and all. Need a few online chums doing the same. No rules. Do it the way it suits and post as often as you like.
I'm currently trying to get from 65.0 kg to 60.kg and losing 1lb or 500g a week. (have come down from 69.1kg). I have a FitBit, and use the Happy Scales app and had planned to up my step count but the incessant rain is not helping. Doing 10 stomach crunches a day from TODAY. (165 cm / 5'5"). Very happy to have your company and steal your ideas and suggestions.

Hi, I’m in for this, I’m hovering around 9st7 and would love to be 10lbs lighter by 1/7. I’m only 5’3 and very narrow shouldered and hipped so every pound feels like a big difference on me!

The only thing that works for me is calorie counting, so I’m back on the my fitness pal app from today!

waistchallenge · 03/04/2024 09:54

🍆 move.

Fab, Mrs R. Welcome.

@MrsReacher85 - you can be my twin! I'm 5ft 3 and was 9st 8 last week. Have been on holiday since Friday and on my way home today. Will check the holiday damage tomorrow morning.

I'm lighter than I've been in ages. I'm aiming for 9 stone but will review my target when I get there.

I'm a runner and a gym bunny so whilst I'm interested in weight I'm more interested in fat and muscle % and strength.

I'm a fan of Fast 800 and 16/8 and have lost 20 1bs using them. I might continue for this 8lbs or maybe switch to 5/2 (1200 and 800 calories).

MrsReacher85 · 03/04/2024 11:22

@HoneyMobster i also run, and do strength workouts at home so definitely twin! 😁how do you measure fat and muscle %? This is something I keep thinking I should track.

BringBackTeletext · 03/04/2024 11:23

Bookmarking for motivation!

5’6, 10st (63ish KG), size 12

HoneyMobster · 03/04/2024 11:33

@MrsReacher85 - I have a David Lloyd membership so use the Boditrax machine there. I also have Renpho scales at home. I trust the Boditrax above Renpho though.

chalkyc2 · 03/04/2024 12:52

Here for this - I have around 8-10kg to go to my target weight (am 50kg down from this time last year 😅). I'm a peloton and running fan and am looking to sign up to some PT sessions for strength training.

Fast 800 principles all the way....I'd love to get to around 60kg by the summer.

Gensola · 03/04/2024 16:17

I am 132 pounds and want to be 120 by June - about to go on holiday for a week to Greece but when I’m back it’s all systems go. This will be our only holiday this year so want to enjoy it but my goal is to maintain my weight.

janeljl · 03/04/2024 16:45

I'm trying to lose 7lbs. I know that doesn't sound a lot but I have found it so hard to lose this last half stone (it's been years!) and then I can't keep it off. I'm hoping to lose the lbs asap so I can try to maintain before my holiday in June.

If anyone has any tips for maintaining once they reach goal weight I would love to hear them! Even though I'm not there yet...

Itdjgsurchg · 03/04/2024 16:53

Joining. Got my sisters wedding in the summer so want to be a bit slimmer. Started calorie counting and doing weights.

scoobysnaxx · 03/04/2024 21:58

I'm going to join you ladies.
I've always been overweight and I had my first baby 6 months ago.
Luckily I lost a stone in the first trimester and just about gained it back by the end.
Haven't weighed myself and can feel I've put more on postpartum and breastfeeding.

Need to start knocking it back off again and exercising. I feel so weak and fat!

First step, weight weigh self and work out TDEE and calorie deficit..

SteggySawUs · 03/04/2024 22:26

I'd like to join! I keep losing and gaining the same few pounds. Really want to lose a solid 10lb by summer and keep it off. I'm just rubbish at self control, lattes are my downfall, dread to think how many calories of milk I drink! And weekend evening snacking on peanuts. My diet is pretty good but portions probably too big and it's snacks and drinks where it's all adding up. But in the moment I have no self control. Help!

NotDonna · 04/04/2024 07:13

I’m also 165cm (5ft 5) @Mum5net but weighing 72kg (158lbs) the heaviest I’ve been all year. Do you calorie count?
Just recovering from a broken ankle and a rather decadent holiday. Plus menopausal so the weight seems harder to shift.
I’ve found low carb has worked in the past, also 16:8. I have tried fast 800 but found it hard.
My nemesis is sugar - chocolate, cakes, sweet treats and alcohol.
What are you guys doing @Itdjgsurchg @HoneyMobster @MrsReacher85 for strength training at home?

Mum5net · 04/04/2024 07:19

And our little collective is off and running, hopefully motoring smoothly towards July 1…
We can easily still take more joiners for several weeks to come.
The more the merrier!
Thank you all. Lovely to have a common bond and focus.
Rather prematurely I’m starting to consider my summer outfit on July 1.

Hello cross post Donna! Like the sound of the decadence but not the ankle.
Another on 16:8.
Keen to hear more, too, about everyone’s regimes.

Hello 👋 I'd like to join too - no idea how much I weigh (I go by how clothes fit) and everything is a little tight 🤭 I blame Easter! Going to give up chocolate and hope for the best - good luck everyone!

I’ve just been doing some videos off YouTube, usually Caroline Girvan or Heather Robertson. They have some programmes on there to follow which I was thinking about trying.

chalkyc2 · 04/04/2024 08:18

Just done a 45min peloton ride so hopefully that's a good set up for the day!

I usually have a smoothie for breakfast. Taking the kids out today so lunch will have to freestyle. Salmon for dinner.

NotDonna · 04/04/2024 08:52

I’m having peppermint tea for bfast as think I’ll go back to 16:8 strategy. I’m not a bfast person usually anyway but I totally pigged out on hols. So back to eating cleaner! Not sure about lunch or dinner as yet. Need to plan!

WhoKnowsWhatToDoWithThis · 04/04/2024 09:12

Thanks for the thread OP.

Morning all, I'd like to join for a bit of post Easter accountability 🙌. I haven't got much to lose but it's hard doing it alone!

I'm 65.8kg this morning and I'd like to get back to 64kg or under.

I do workouts using the sweat app, it costs £15 a month but I use it at least 3 times a week. There’s loads of different programmes to follow, and you can switch around as much as you like. Plenty of them need no equipment and just use bodyweight exercises.

HoneyMobster · 04/04/2024 09:46

Holiday damage not too bad, just 1lb up.

My stats...

Height 5 3
SW 11 4 (2 Feb 2024)
CW 9 9
GW 9 stone

I have a gym membership so do a strength circuit there. A mix of stuff, some hand weights and machines. Plus some classes that incorporate weights.

HoneyMobster · 04/04/2024 09:48

Been to the gym this morning and did a fartlek run and some weights. I have a 10k race next weekend so am prepping for that.

Iosefina · 04/04/2024 09:53

I'll join! Currently 91kg, wanting to get to 75. I'm at my heaviest now. I manage to lose 5kg or so, and then put it back on again.

My diet is pretty good, except that sugar and carbs are my main downfall when I'm tired inbthe afternoon or evening. I'm going to try to improve my sleep first as I think that could be a circuit breaker for me. Bedtime at 10:30, waking at 7am and no hitting the snooze button!
