Welcome one and all. Need a few online chums doing the same. No rules. Do it the way it suits and post as often as you like.
I'm currently trying to get from 65.0 kg to 60.kg and losing 1lb or 500g a week. (have come down from 69.1kg). I have a FitBit, and use the Happy Scales app and had planned to up my step count but the incessant rain is not helping. Doing 10 stomach crunches a day from TODAY. (165 cm / 5'5"). Very happy to have your company and steal your ideas and suggestions.

@Mum5net I love my weighted hoop. I do 30 mins each day while I'm watching eastenders on player and last year it really helped to give me a defined waist. It's so easy. I'd happily join a sub group if one exists.

Bubbleswithsqueak · 10/04/2024 13:53

You've just reminded me of my weighted hoop. Literally sat on my arse for two days, so it's definitely coming out today. Tomorrow it will be 1 week of decent eating - fingers crossed for at least 1/2 a kg off...

Mum5net · 10/04/2024 14:02

Hoolahoop chat incoming: Zone out everyone else!
OK, I promise to hoola hoop the entire duration of every remaining programme in this series of MasterChef... It's my absolutely toughest watch for snacking. I will need to turn the sound up as I make so much noise though...

@spinningpenguin that sounds delicious, Swiss isn't something I usually make but I might give that a go.

I intend to pop to my local ethnic shop tomorrow to get miso paste and gochujang to liven up a few healthy dishes.

Fluffywithteeth · 10/04/2024 19:03

I’d love to join. Using HUEL starting today. Darent weigh myself but I reckon about 69 kg and aiming to get to 64 kg

plan is to do HUEL plus one meal a day for a couple of days and then go 100% HUEL during the week and eat well at weekends (sorry no idea why it’s capping that!)

good luck everyone !

WhoKnowsWhatToDoWithThis · 10/04/2024 19:49

Evening all.

TMI alert but I've been a bit bunged up recently. Think my stomach is unbalanced after having a sickness bug a couple of weeks ago.

I've tried all sorts to help 😬. I ordered some probiotics which arrived today so hopefully that'll be the magic solution! 🤞🏻

Mum5net · 10/04/2024 19:53

Poor you @WhoKnowsWhatToDoWithThis Kiwi 🥝 fruit every day and even better if you eat the skin ( I can’t). Off to hoola.

Hi @Fluffywithteeth and good luck.

I like the thought of being half a stone lighter by my holiday in 6 weeks and then having a month when I get back until the 1 July to maybe drop a few more pounds. Motivation!

Today I took DD and Dsis to a local attraction. Had my 300 cal lunch packed. However Dsis got us both fish and chips to say thank you for buying her tickets. She'd been thinking about fish and chips all morning. She is a size 6 so I think I'd do the same in her position 😂 Anyway I had a small portion. Made a chilli and peanut slaw and chicken satay when I got home and that was only 500 cals.

I'm still under 1400 cals and will be extra good the next two days.

StickyStones · 10/04/2024 20:05

@WhoKnowsWhatToDoWithThis horrible to be all bunged up, but on the bright side, maybe when it clears out you'll lose a bit of weight?! Silver linings and all that 😂

WhoKnowsWhatToDoWithThis · 10/04/2024 20:17

Thanks @Mum5net I'll stock up! 🥝

@StickyStones 😂 I know! I haven't dared step on the scale at the moment as I know it'll just depress me!

Cudz · 10/04/2024 20:29

@Mum5net how did the 'hulaing' (is that even a word???) go? I've had a pretty decent day and got 15k steps in which includes 30mins on the treadmill and a 20 min walk outdoors to and from the gym. I only really started my new routine at the weekend so I'm holding off weighing myself until Saturday and I'm hoping to then see at least a 1lb drop to 10st 2lbs. Can't wait to get back into the 9s!!!! Hope everyone else has had a good day x

Beatrixslobber · 10/04/2024 20:45

@WhoKnowsWhatToDoWithThis so, tmi from me too but I’ve plenty of 💩 to give you 😂. Multiple food intolerances and I’ve reacted to something quite ‘violently’ today which is funny considering that I’m barely bloody eating! I think that it must have been a vitamin. I’m hoping that I might have lost a good amount of kg down the toilet 😂
I hope that you poo soon.

HoneyMobster · 10/04/2024 22:06

Thinking of all of you with tummy troubles. I'm a shy poo-er - I find it very difficult to poo away from home. Holidays are a nightmare!

Has a good day good wise - really good level of protein (93g) and 900 calories. Fitted in a 30 minute run and a stretch/mobility class.

The good news is that my 'honeymoon' jeans fit. It's my 23rd wedding anniversary in a couple of weeks and they've barely been worn since!

Mum5net · 11/04/2024 10:33

@Fluffywithteeth great you are on board! We are 45.

Both DC have IBS and I have UC so I am good with TMI.
@Beatrixslobber rotten to hear you have several food intolerances. Even one is bad enough... @HoneyMobster love the term - shy-pooer.

@Cudz I did six mins until DBro (Another Mumsnet 'Goldenballs bro') got in touch for the first time in ages about and that stopped me, so more to catch up with today.
@Gensola sorry you are on your plane home and back to the rain

I'm trying to take a leaf out of @Hiddendoor's book and cut out sugar. I read your post on Monday and remembered I'd had big success with that before. Then another lightbulb moment. Do it, too!
So I'm happy to report I have come down from 65.0kg to 63.5kg.

Just eating on rotation home made soup (watered down), petit pois & eggs together, and chicken or fish with green veg and kiwi fruit.

Well done to the hoola-ers, how did you learn?? I can't seem to get the hang of hoolahooping at all!

I have good news - I'm down a lb! (does a small dance).
Yesterday I kept on plan, and did a fartlek 4km this morning. Will try to get out again tomorrow. Really in the zone with my diet at the moment.

Bubbleswithsqueak · 11/04/2024 11:31

I'm down 500g in a week, so a good start. Not that BMI is a good guide, but it's brought me on to the line between normal and overweight...

HoneyMobster · 11/04/2024 12:38

Good work @Bubbleswithsqueak and @StickyStones

I did a short run this morning and am about to do yoga. Won't be able to eat lunch until
2pm, which is late for me. So have filled the hole with an evil green protein shake I got as a free gift. It looks like sewage.

Beatrixslobber · 11/04/2024 13:39

@HoneyMobster well done on the honeymoon jeans. Can I ask what you ate to get enough protein in that calorie deficit?

HoneyMobster · 11/04/2024 14:15

@Beatrixslobber

Breakfast - overnight oats made with full fat Greek Yoghurt (17g of protein)

Lunch - Salad with tin of tuna and 30g of cheddar (35.6 g of protein)

Dinner - 300 ml of milk with vanilla whey powder (37g of protein)

Beatrixslobber · 11/04/2024 15:43

@HoneyMobster thanks. That sounds yummy.

DH stuck a cheese omelette in front of me earlier, so good. Probably the nicest that I’ve eaten all week.

HoneyMobster · 11/04/2024 15:45

Cheese omelette is one of my favourite lunches. You can up the protein by adding in some ham as well.

mondaytosunday · 11/04/2024 18:09

@Mum5net the worst thing about Masterchef is we can't taste the food!
So lost 3.6kg since Monday, I know it's mostly water weight but it's motivating. I want to lose 6kg more by girlie trip which is in less than three weeks. It will get me below a number I tried and failed to do for Christmas holiday. Then it's all bets off for the trip as I've just said I'll make my signature lasagna for us all the first night! And there's nothing lo cal about my lasagna! I'm debating whether to make my out of this world carrot cake too (as it's her 60th so we need cake)!
Despite my earlier post I'm now trying to eat two meals a day now - one about 500-600 then dinner about 800-900.
For brunch it was one avocado on slice toast, an egg and 50gr smoked salmon and a bunch of tomatoes (569 cal). Dinner will be chicken in Prosecco sauce (mushrooms), rosemary potatoes and roasted carrots and parsnips and some green veg (662 cal). Treat will be coffee with cream and maybe a rice cake, total just under 1400.
I'm off wine, which as I gave it up for Lent is tough going again!
Trying to motivate myself my looking at summer Mediterranean fashion on Pinterest, my conclusion is that one looks great in anything if slim!

Gensola · 11/04/2024 18:24

@mondaytosunday your dinner sounds delicious!
Stuck on M25 now … just want to be home 😫
Dreading post holiday weigh in tomorrow

PollyPeep · 11/04/2024 18:33

Can I join? I'm self employed with two young kids (one toddler at home full time) so I basically just eaaaaaat all day haha. I'd like to tone up before our summer holidays. I just weighed in at 71.5kg and feel at my best around 65kg. I want to join a chat for accountability and support as I take this difficult journey towards a snack-less existence 😂

Paintedhat · 11/04/2024 22:01

Hi!
A bit late to the game but can I join please?
I’ve lost 27lbs since September but can’t shift any more! Aiming to lose another 10lb but my motivation has gone so hoping being on a thread like this will help 😀
