Welcome one and all. Need a few online chums doing the same. No rules. Do it the way it suits and post as often as you like.
I'm currently trying to get from 65.0 kg to 60.kg and losing 1lb or 500g a week. (have come down from 69.1kg). I have a FitBit, and use the Happy Scales app and had planned to up my step count but the incessant rain is not helping. Doing 10 stomach crunches a day from TODAY. (165 cm / 5'5"). Very happy to have your company and steal your ideas and suggestions.

Still lurking. On holiday in the Adriatic at the moment. The mating lots of tennis, doing water sports etc. All inclusive but trying to be sensible!

Here for another week then will give it a week before weighing in to assess the damage!

Grab those rays @HoneyMobster and enjoy everything!
@CommeIlFaut I've got a week in Italy so we will be the same again...

I havent posted in a while. I lost 10lb at a nice even rate at the beginning of the year. Then went on a 5 night holiday and put 7lb back on. I'm now back to the pre holiday weight although my happy weight would be another 7lb off. Problem, I'm going away again next Sunday so likely to gain again!

Mum5net · 26/08/2024 15:54

@FlutteryButterfly those 5 nights must have been fun though! And you must be pretty good at losing to have taken the 7 lbs off again. Hopw Sunday's trip away is fun...
I'm going to the Strictly Group Dance filming for the new series on Thursday with DD1. She got tickets on the ballot for first time in five years. Trying to not eat too much these next 72 hours so that my outfit looks roomy rather than skin tight

Thanks @Mum5net!

I ate sensibly (I really did) and walked more than usual if anything whilst I was away- I'll blame it in the booze😆 Ive got to try and get out of the pattern of gaining on holiday then losing in time for the next- as not going to get to my happy weight at this rate 🤔

Have a lovely time at the Strictly filming that dress will be just right 😊

Back from holiday. 5lbs up. I was relatively careful (difficult on an AI holiday!) so heaven knows what would have happened if I'd really let loose! There were cocktails, ice creams and pizza...

The funny thing is that I don't think I could have gone crazy. I was quite conscious of how I felt and knew that massive meals would have made me feel icky and hot. So I think that's a win for the long term.

Will try to knock the 5lbs off over the next month. It's DS1's graduation at the end of September and I know I'll feel better if it's dealt with. Don't feel the urge to be too drastic though.

StickyStones · 27/08/2024 22:55

The booze is a killer isn't it? @FlutteryButterfly
I have a drink every night on holidays and it definitely makes me pack on the lbs.

@HoneyMobster
I also have an event to lose weight for - a wedding at the end of October. I have my dress, and it fits, but like @Mum5net I need it to be a bit more roomy. There will be people there I haven't seen in years and I want to look my best...yes I'm that shallow!

Came back late Thursday after 5 days in Italy. Recommend Bologna as an amazing city break.
Was 59.7 kg when I left and 60.4kg when I got back, so pretty pleased. I even got to wear my size 10. Boden wide leg linen trousers- my secret goal .
Also brought back a bit of a cold and was fully flat out yesterday. Only managed two slices of toast late on. Felt truly awful.
Still feeling a bit dodgy this morning but my scales say 57.9 kg. This has made me perk up.

I’ve got Covid. That’s why I’m not eating…
