Welcome one and all. Need a few online chums doing the same. No rules. Do it the way it suits and post as often as you like.
I'm currently trying to get from 65.0 kg to 60.kg and losing 1lb or 500g a week. (have come down from 69.1kg). I have a FitBit, and use the Happy Scales app and had planned to up my step count but the incessant rain is not helping. Doing 10 stomach crunches a day from TODAY. (165 cm / 5'5"). Very happy to have your company and steal your ideas and suggestions.

I'd love to join you. Losing 7-10 lbs would get me nicely back in my summer wardrobe and would save me having to buy new stuff.
I need to start looking after myself.
I'll weigh-in tomorrow morning.

Mum5net · 05/04/2024 09:49

So, we are currently a marvellous cohort of 15. We can grow extra people but we won't grow extra inches.

Among us we have 'hoverers', strength sleuths, a few runners, a large number that are just shilly shallying, some pretty successful shedders with a little but more to go. We have some returning holidaymakers and some about to be travellers, wedding guests, and quite a lot determined the 'last 7lbs' need to be booted into touch. We have gym bunnies, weightlifters, dog walkers, new mums, snackers and portion stretchers, a few temporarily injured or 'damaged' by holidays, some nifty peloton riders, and quite a few 'dirty' eaters who want to be 'clean' although didn't quite say that.... We have some poor sleepers, over-sleepers , many fashionistas with wardrobes needing reclaimed and the dreaded menopause encroaching some lives.
This is our first weekend together. Let's see how we get on! 😀

Can I join?
Just want to lose 3 kgs or so. Seem to lose it and then gain it again. I'm 52, and notice that it's a lot harder to lose the weight now.
I run 5km 3 times a week, do a boxing class and a weight training class each week and have just started doing some of the strength training classes from Peloton.
I don't eat until 1230 and try to eat healthily but can sometimes blow it on snacking.
I've got a girls holiday at the end of June and would love to be slimmer and more toned for that.

igetwhatyoumean · 05/04/2024 10:08

I've weighed in - 9 stone 6. Not too bad really, and I don't 'need' to lose weight, but I just want to lose about 7lbs before summer, so my summer clothes fit nicely.
My plan is less alcohol, healthy seasonal food and more exercise.
I might join a gym. Don't have a holiday booked yet. Going to be very busy at work until the end of May.
I tend to weigh daily or every other day when I'm on a health kick.
Good luck, everyone!

Cherryblossom81 · 05/04/2024 10:12

Could I join you, please? (I had joined a similar thread last week, but it seems to have been deleted?!)

I'm short and currently 8 stone 5 (or maybe 6!). I am still a healthy BMI but I definitely look/feel better around 10 pounds lighter. Is that ok to join you?

I've gradually gained around a stone over the last year (turned 40 last April) and am really struggling to lose it. I'm not really sure how/why I've gained this weight, but it's crept up over the year. Being short means every pound shows and my daily calorie requirements seem to be so low!

I'm determined to a) not gain any more and b) lose 10 pounds.

chalkyc2 · 05/04/2024 10:15

👊👊@Mum5net let's do this!!

Peloton 45 min power ride done! Working for the rest of the morning but will try and drag one of the teens out for a walk if it ever stops raining later.

Smoothie in the fridge for breakfast, leftovers for lunch and maybe chilli for dinner with veg rather than rice.

HoneyMobster · 05/04/2024 10:17

Weighed in this morning. Holiday bloat has gone and I'm back down to my pre-holiday weight.

Still on holiday though (staycation day) so have done a strength circuit and about to do Pilates with DD. Overnight Oats (Greek Yoghurt, Frozen Berries, chia Seeds and oats) for breakfast.

Height - 5ft 3
SW - 11 stone 4
CW - 9 stone 8
GW - 9 stone

NotDonna · 05/04/2024 10:19

Crikey @follygirl you do a lot!!

follygirl · 05/04/2024 10:24

@NotDonna

I'm a SAHM with my youngest currently revising for A levels and my oldest at Uni, so I find doing exercise gives me something to aim for.
I always do the 2 classes as I do it with friends, I do the running although if the weather is rubbish it might be only twice and I can be a bit inconsistent with the Peloton classes although when I do them I remember how much stronger I can be.
I can be an emotional eater though and with the stress my kids go through, I do tend to 'treat' myself with a pack of crisps or a chocolate bar.
Stats wise I'm 5'7'' and currently weigh 66.3, would love to be 10 stone so that's 63.7

Mum5net · 05/04/2024 10:28

@follygirl and @Cherryblossom81

Thank you @Mum5net

LittleBrownBaby · 05/04/2024 10:42

I would like to join please. But I have to get to my GW by 25th may .... my wedding day. It's not a lot but on me it will make a huge difference.

I am 5ft 1 and 8stone 11. I would like to be 8stone 6. I know this isn't loads but I cannot shift these last few lbs!

If I can lose between 0.5-1lb a week I can get there!

I have a PT twice a week, go to a run club once a week and I'm generally very active. But I love food and the more I do, the more hungry I am!

follygirl · 05/04/2024 10:43

Thanks @Mum5net

Clarebelle878 · 05/04/2024 10:53

Joining for motivation and support 💕

Have a holiday coming up in May and dreading the prospect of being in a swimsuit.

5ft 5, c57kg. Would like to get back to my pre baby weight of 52kg. Hoping to shift 5kg pre holiday but I’ll be pleased with anything at this stage.

Gensola · 05/04/2024 10:54

@LittleBrownBaby aw congratulations on your upcoming wedding!

Day 2 of holiday and we accidentally slept in and missed breakfast 😂 we had to get up at 2am for the flight and we are apparently just too old to cope with no sleep nowadays.

Drinking lots of water and iced black coffee in the day and shared a bottle of white wine with DH last night. Staying off the cocktails!

hoping to still be 132 pounds (9 stone 6) on return and will take it from there.

Itsthemostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 05/04/2024 10:59

I would love to join. I’m currently doing 16:8 and making sure I get my steps in. I’ve lost 2lb in the first week without much effort. 10lbs on top of this would be amazing

amibeth1 · 05/04/2024 11:07

Morning, I'd love to join. Currently 80.4kg having lost 4kg since Christmas. My first target is to lose 2kg by the 28th of May. I have a friendly competition with my husband and we're both very competitive!

I really need to move more but it's a struggle to fit in with work, my children's activities and daily life!

LittleBrownBaby · 05/04/2024 12:13

Thanks @Gensola

Enjoy your holiday!!

HoneyMobster · 05/04/2024 13:04

@LittleBrownBaby - lovely time of year for a wedding. I slimmed down for my wedding and got pregnant straight after!

Mum5net · 05/04/2024 13:36

@LittleBrownBaby @Clarebelle878 and @Itsthemostwonderfultimeoftheyear consider yourselves inducted into our 'Hall of Marvellousness'.
You do know @LittleBrownBaby by joining that you now have an additional 19 virtual guests who have virtual evening outfits to plan and smoothly zip into without stress. May 25 is now on all our calendars.
Lots of positivity already.
My big news is that today's wfh lunch - one egg scrambled egg with a huge handful of frozen peas, a slice of parma ham and some beetroot - was a DOUBLE yoker.

NellyCortado · 05/04/2024 13:57

I'd love to join. 5'4" and 72kg. Unfit and greedy here. Currently at my heaviest, so I'm feeling very disheartened.

Main issues for me are cake and biscuit binges, having to cook/plan separate meals for me and rest of family and pathological dislike of exercise.

I've been thinking about trying Fast 800 but I keep procrastinating.

Edited to add my goal is 62kg, but I'd be delighted to reach 67kg by the end of May

Mum5net · 05/04/2024 15:09

@NellyCortado Don't be disheartened. Come with us on our excursion into marvellousness. Can't promise an exercise-free zone, so at times you may have to avert your eyes, but our group will be a better place with you included.

Mum5net · 05/04/2024 15:16

Apologies @amibeth1 I missed your post. But you are absolutely welcome in our ranks and your DH is going to notice your new empowerment of marvellousness very soon...

Ooo I would love to join please.... still have baby weight to lose as it's very slow going! I'm on a hen's weekend but motivated to be on it from Monday with calorie counting and gym classes

spinningpenguin · 05/04/2024 15:57

Would like to join please. 5.4, currently around 63kg, would like to get to 55kg by the end of summer which is my ideal weight, so 5kg by July would be ideal! I'm kcal counting but weekends and cake are my downfall 😩. Got back on the wagon few days ago and hoping to stay on during the upcoming weekend 😅🤞
