Hi,

Just got back from holiday and thread was full. Couldn't see a new one 😞 let me know if there is one. Hope everyone is doing well.

@Doggymummar that’s a fantastic achievement, well done! The accountability posts are helpful but given you have eaten what you wanted and still lost is great 😀 keep it up and Merry Christmas!

Yeah I was really lucky ? To be unemployed when I started in March so I took all the naps and puke time I needed. Got a job in may and have had to push through since then. It's not easy my lovely but it does get better,

Less than a week back in the UK and ok so far but yesterday was terrible compared to how I’ve been doing generally. I ate more crap than I have done in a long time. It’s all the home comforts, I ate a banana for breakfast, 2 doughnuts, far too many custard creams maybe 6 or 8 as they have to be eaten in twos, three homemade sausage rolls and then had some chicken bites and two hot wings from KFC. Not at all structured and a very snacky day. I did do a run in the freezing cold which was good and had a nap. Feel like my will power is very much being tested. Try again today 🙃

JaffacakeJanine · 13/12/2023 19:43

Sounds like the Christmas period is testing us all! Be kind to yourselves everybody, is it a busy time and also a challenging time for consistent eating.

I myself am allowing myself to stop the calorie counting for a little bit as my housing situation is in upheaval at the moment and it's difficult to cook traditionally, so somewhat forced to eat out. Can't tell you how the weight situation is going right now and I'm a little scared to jump on the scales!

Cjgdjkf · 14/12/2023 07:26

Morning, Christmas is definitely testing! I have been out drinking and eating probably more times the last two weeks than the whole year and exercise has gone out the window! I’ve put on 2 pounds, annoyingly got so close to end target of 4 stone but although I’ll keep weighing and being mindful, I’m not going to beat myself up as it’s Xmas. @RedRum27 id be the same if I lived away and then came back to UK, I’d want all the home comforts!! @crazyoldcatman I was also so ill when I started 7mg but it does pass, took maybe 1-2 weeks and I just had to be careful I ate the right things (no junk!). @Dinosaurpoo how are you doing? Did you move up to 14 and manage to get some? I think all the people I got from have definitely now stopped selling Rybelsus, they want me to do wegovy but it’s injection so that will be it for me once my current supply runs out 😞. @Doggymummar youve done amazingly! 5 stone lighter it’s an amazing achievement!! How is the heartburn? Has it settled now?

Cjgdjkf · 14/12/2023 07:28

@JaffacakeJanine I reckon you could be pleasantly surprised about the scales, I always think it’s more than it actually is when I step on!

Doggymummar · 14/12/2023 08:45

Morning day 4 of 14mg and the tiredness is back. Was in bed before 9 last night and just got up. The heartburn is awful but probably my fault as I've been drinking half a litre of Bailey's night. It's so yummy. Anyway that's all gone now, so I won't buy anymore. Only three more parties and 2 more days at work and I can hibernate for three weeks so looking forward to that. I have an MRI for my liver on Friday and hopefully they will be able to see it better with less blubber to look through.

Changedforthetoday · 16/12/2023 10:07

I was on 14mg but due to supply shortages I cannot get hold of it so had to go back to 7mg and I have found the weight loss has really stalled and also the appetite is starting to creep back in. They tell you you cannot double up the 7mg to make a 14mg but from what I can see that is only because they haven’t checked it in trials and are covering themselves from a legal standpoint.
Had anyone tried doubling up - taking 2 x 7mg tablets to equal the 14mg dose?
i am desperate to keep going with this as I was on a roll.

Londonlady365 · 16/12/2023 15:26

@Changedforthetoday I think it will be fine just expensive. My supplier advised me to take a second 14mg every other day to get over a plateau. 7 x 2 might be more than 14mg as you will be getting more of the coating that helps absorbtion. Maybe 7mg extra every other day if you react strongly.

Londonlady365 · 16/12/2023 15:29

I have been off for a few weeks now. 3 or 4 maybe. Appetite is back but seems to be manageable. The main thing I noticed was a lack of impulse control. Bought loads of stuff I didn't need. Luckily it only lasted a few weeks. I don't know if it was connected.

Cjgdjkf · 16/12/2023 15:57

@Londonlady365 are you at goal weight now? I’ve been wondering what to do when I get there! I’m a few pounds off and due to time of year and lack of exercise I’m just up or down by a pound at the moment lol! How was the mri @Doggymummar did you get the results?

Londonlady365 · 16/12/2023 16:08

@Cjgdjkf yes almost at goal weight. I was stuck at 1lb off goal . I was going to NY and didn't want to invalidate my insurance with unprescribed drugs. I decided to stop 3 weeks before going so it was out of my system. I actually have 1 box of 7 and 14s left that expire in 2025 so I can do it again when my tolerance has worn off.

You are being mighty ripped off at that price. Nice try at advertising though. If you are diabetic it's free in the UK

Just popping in to wish you a merry Christmas. I tried 14 a few weeks ago, but couldn’t manage the tiredness in the middle of everything else that needs doing in December. Went back to 7.
having a few days off now for Christmas. Mostly because it gives me terrible hangovers, even with just a couple of drinks. Enjoyed a lot of cheese last night!
excited to get back on it in the new year.

Doggymummar · 24/12/2023 09:36

Merry Christmas @Dinosaurpoo and everyone else. Let's hope we don't do too much damage and we can get back in the wagon and finish what we started in 2024. Have a wonderful time everyone

Morning all, I hope you had a lovely Christmas. Jumped on the scales today and sad to see I have gained 10lbs. I blame the Baileys for being too delicious. This has set me back to 23 august, so over 4 months which is annoying. Hardly surprising tho, I've barely moved since 21december, not left the house once. Dog sitting today so gonna get wellys on and go for a stomp. Still Lots of food to eat, mostly cheese but hopefully will see some downwards movement soon.

@Doggymummar some of the weight must be food and carb bloating after prolonged low calorie eating. Hopefully the break will have boosted your metabolism and you will see a fast loss. I have spent 16 days in New York fully clear of rybelsus and eating out and drinking everyday. I plan to weight tomorrow. I have noticed I eat more because I am less worried about weight gain because I can just take pills for a month or two and lose it. Not good for health or wallet...

Doggymummar · 28/12/2023 20:25

Thing is I didn't really eat much, but after 9 months of no booze I have had 5 or six litres of if Bailey's and two of Tia Maria in about six weeks. It will come off hopefully but it's a big setback. Fingers crossed you have fared better.

I hope everyone survived festive eating and drinking. Has anyone used pharmacy4u. They claim to have 14mg for £220. Has anyone used? What checks were done and did the correct meds arrive. Trust pilot reviews terrible.

Doggymummar · 03/01/2024 18:49

No not used them.
