beansprout · 25/02/2008 11:05

Can I play? Have to shift preg weight (although I don't actually own any scales!)

Sheherazadethegoat · 25/02/2008 11:07

get some scales beansprout - or else it is just too easy to kid yourself along the lines of 'oh these jeans have shrunk again' and ' oh the sizes in this shop are VERY small'

OP posts:
beansprout · 25/02/2008 11:07

Right. My plan is this:

Exercise - either Curves or walking or exercise DVD or incredibly expensive and unused cross-trainer
Drink loads of water
Eat NO crap
Eat more fruit and veg
Control my portion sizes
Cut WAY down on wine

I am brave and will give my weight - 16 st 7 lbs and my initial target is to lose that 7lbs.

I will check in every day to confirm whether I have stuck to plan and will weigh in on Monday and report result.

Twiglett · 25/02/2008 11:10

I need a plan .... arrgghhh

ummmmm ... eat low fat, avoid bread and high-fat snacks, make soup .. walk more?

don't go too crazy on the low fat thing as lots of low fat products are v. sugary. i find bread and refined sugar carby things really trigger off binges cos i get all sugar high and then crash. wholegrain pasta and rice are good.

Low GI is good Twig. Filling and healthy. Would agree that low fat isn't necessarily good. Rosemary Conley's plan is now low GI.

I want to lose a stone by June 18th. I am going to spain to see my mum.
I am 5ft 3 11st 10 size 16,.

I have spd, and bad back and rubbish pelvic floor. I NEED to lose weight for lots of reasons.

I want to lose 14lbs.

Twiglett · 25/02/2008 11:21

I don't understand GI .. old dog, new tricks

I'm talking low fat as in home-made stuff though .. like soups, fish, chicken etc where I can control it I suppose .. we're quite a wholegrain house

If I planned to eat porridge is that low or high GI .. and which is the good bit
