I'm here !
Had super foods granola and natural bio yoghurt, its fairly high calorie so I only had half my usual bowlful and it fills me up totally till lunch.

Aiming on wholemeal sandwich for lunch, fruit for snacks and salmon and stirfry for dinner.

No chocolate or wine today (saving wine for my night out on Saturday)

Feel less bloated (and I only started yesterday)

AnAngelWithin · 27/02/2008 10:33

morning all! just got back from a walk. went up the street to get some mixed leaf salad for my lunch. ive got some chicken leftover from last night so im having that with salad for lunch.

i had muesli for breakfast. not sure what to have for tea tonight.

when i got in i had a card through the door. ive missed the delivery of my new mountain buggy being delivered again tomorrow. i was hoping to go on a long walk with it and the dog and dd and ds this afternoon. typical!!

i am hungry now. need to go and find something healthy to snack on.

Buda · 27/02/2008 13:21

I am still here - really!

Last night was not so good really. 2 white wine sodas. But dinner was a lamb fricasee with mash and peas. Pudding was a load of grapes so that was good. But then I went to bed early with DS and by 11pm was starving and craving some bread so I got up and came down and had a slice of brown bread with honey.

Today has been REALLY bad. Toast for breakfast. Grapes for snack. MacDonalds for lunch. (Thought if I typed that last bit quickly I might get away with it!!). DS has been off school this week with conjunctivitis and wasn't quite ready to go back to school today but knows he is going tomorrow. I needed to go to the supermarket but he wasn't keen so I bribed him with a trip to MacD's.

Trying to decide what to do for dinner. Options are roast chicken, potatoes and salad or pork chops, beans and mash or a chicken curry of some healthy description.

i am just eating some grilled chicken, small jacket potato with extra light garlic and herb soft cheese, brown rice and a mixed leaf salad. i would love cheese on toast right now!! I've been snacking on grapes this morning cos I've been really hungry.

was going to go out for a walk but i am waiting in for a phone call from my nan now.

Hi muffin munchers
I was saintly and went to an aerobics class last night, which was very hard work, but felt fantastic afterwards!
Went shopping this morning, and went into Boots to find something healthy for lunch, and had the yummiest sandwich, an organic, cream cheese pumpkin seed and grated beetroot, ginger & spinach wholemeal sandwich,is was delicious, despite sounding really weird!Im addicted, and I just can't be bothered grating raw beetroot and making one myself!
Veg hotpot for dinner, as I need to use up all the odds and ends left from last weeks vegetable box that have gone all limp!

Feeling lighter, and less bloated, but getting bad sugar cravings, but I wont let it win!

beansprout · 27/02/2008 14:51

Bran Flakes (skimmed milk) for breakfast, soup for lunch. Am now going to munch on some popcorn. Sil has taken both boys to the park. I am supposed to be sleeping but would much rather eat!!

Buda · 27/02/2008 14:55

Yes to chicken korma recipe please tmmj!

And yes I had a burger. The salads are gross as DS would say.

Ham salad sandwich on wholemeal for lunch
Two coffee's at costa coffee (resisted the muffins .. a first!) Snacked on two clementine's and now having a very virtuous green tea

Salmon and salad tonight (forgot to buy stirfry veg )

TMMJ - how much cheese? overflowing the sides? a bit on top? Don't stress it, c'est la vie (la brie in my case usually )

Has anyone heard the acronym HALT? The idea is that we over-eat when we are

Hungry
Angry
Lonely
Tired

I'm sure I could think of a few more adjectives, but this acronym has stopped my hand on the way to the cake tin a few times...

piratecat · 27/02/2008 19:14

hiya, haven't been on here today as dd had a sickness thing last night and has been off school.

I forgot breakfast, but had a banana on the hop.

Had a normal bread sarnie for lunch. Getting some rye stuff tomorrow tho.

Had leftover bit of spaghetti with vegetables for tea.

Not good having too loads of carbs i know.

tomorrow will be more salady and friutful.

DANCESwithaMuffinTop · 27/02/2008 20:04

HALT...that's me down to a T when I'm on a binge. Was doing really well today then lost it around 4.30 and gave in to the sugar cravings Having teeny jkt pot and beans for tea. Can't believe how SHOCKING my will power is. I will be GOOD tomorrow!

TMMJ - to go from eating the best part of a box to eating 5 is brilliant progress so please don't give yourself a hard time. I had chocolate last night too so you are not alone!!

Not huge at all! I think the "set impossible standards" model of dieting has proved useless time and time again. I would sooner eat a little bit of chocolate each night and feel happy than deny myself, then have loads and feel utterly crap about it!
