Friday weigh in club!

Anyone fancy joining me in weighing every Friday and posting our progress? I will also post what exercise I have managed that week.
I need somewhere to be accountable! Ideas for meals would be good to share as we go along too.
I have around a stone to lose and am aiming for 1lb a week loss. I will be loosely calorie counting.

So I weighed this morning. 149.6lb. The most I have been for years. Didn't eat too badly yesterday but didn't count calories. Planning on going to the gym later for the first time in months.

Went to the gym and didn't do too bad calorie wise. Out for lunch tomorrow though so that will be a right off!

I did a workout yesterday and it nearly killed me but glad I did it. Weighed myself yesterday and 9st 11. I want to get down to 9st. Was really good yesterday so feeling quite focused (hopefully that will last).

Weighed this morning and was exactly the same! I know it's only been a couple of days but thought I might have lost ounces if not pounds. Maybe because I've been lifting heavy this week I have retained water?

@choc27 you need to be looking at weight trend month on month to see a real difference. A couple of days isn't anything. And assuming you are female, your cycle messes with your weight a lot.

I am short and I like to be 8st 12 (although I used to be 8st 7). Between Christmas and New Year I had crept up to 9st 4. I've cut out aL coho lol and snacks and was 9st 3 last Friday, 9st 2 this morning (weigh in kg so all approx).
First bit is possibly easier for me so next week may be less rewarding!

Can I join? Technically not starting until Saturday tomorrow as have a friends bday meal tonight which was already pre arranged.

I am 5'3 and ideally need to be 125lbs but would just be happy to be 130lbs atm. Currently 139lbs and feel hideous. Used to be able to lose weight quite easily but since I had DS2 the final stone of baby weight (he's 19months!!) has been absolutely impossible to shift!

Happy to join and would love to have some support and accountability to weigh in weekly please!

Have a family holiday Feb half term and dreading being in a pool with wider family looking as bloated and ick as I currently do!

Welcome to all the newcomers! Some familiar stories here, it's so much harder to lose l weight as you get older. I lost easily after dc1 but dc2 is 7 and I'm still trying!
I weighed yesterday and was a few ounces less. I am thinking that 1) I didn't eat well enough. I lost the plot on Thursday. The weekend before wasn't great either. 2) I've started weights at the gym again and so could be retaining water.
I'm trying not to get disheartened but it used to be so easy. A steady 1lb a week loss without fail.
Anyway, plan to eat better and track calories better this week so hopefully next Friday will be better!

Hi @choc27 - Yep, weighed in on Saturday morning and was 137lbs (so a couple less than I had predicted, but I had been trying to be good on and off since start of Jan... but meals out and takeaways derailed me a lot!). I'm usually quite good at calorie counting all day, but one suggestion from DH for a takeaway or friends suggesting a meal out and I fall off the wagon spectacularly and just keep on going!

Have been on it 100% this weekend and hopped on scales for a cheeky check this morning and am 135.2lbs so I'm thrilled to be seeing some movement. Calorie counting on Nutracheck and sticking to 1,200 cal each day - that's the plan!

Also saw on MN that you can trade in some Tesco vouchers for Les Mills on Demand, so did that and downloaded the app to my TV and have done 2 of their 30 min workouts. Hoping to try and squeeze in 3 workouts a week, which should be totally possible in theory, but with 2 young kids and FT job it's actually proving quite difficult! I like to chill once the kids are in bed, and I'm 100% not an evening exerciser!

Totally agree with your comments about getting older and post-kids being hard to lose now. I used to hover around 125lbs without trying (eating what I liked, not really trying) 7 years ago. Now I struggle to get to 135lbs, and naturally sit around 139lbs. It can be really demotivating as I feel like my body is just against me now!
