Here is the new thread for tomorrow.

I am taking my starting weight as the weight as yesterday's weight, 9st1.75, same as beginning of February. Its been a bit of a tricky month for various reasons, so hoping to do a bit better in March.

I have totally lost my way.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 28/02/2022 10:27

Checking in at 10/10 after a weekend of birthday food, and two whole weeks off the cigarettes. Trying not to stress about weight because I know my body is adjusting to not smoking, and I am still fine in terms of BMI etc, but god, my face looks ROUND and I feel like a PUDDING.

CharlieBubbles88 · 28/02/2022 15:12

Saturday weigh in was 121.6lb/55.2kg so that's just over 9lbs after getting back on track 2nd week of Jan seven weeks ago. Will weigh in again Saturday

Thanks for the new thread Octopus

Eesha · 28/02/2022 16:06

Oh, I've just realised it's a new thread each month! Here I am, 92kg, hoping to lose 10kg. Walking 12k steps a day, debating slimfast!

LBB2020 · 28/02/2022 16:59

Hello! I fell off the wagon and the thread during the last week or so Blush
Looking forward to getting back into it for March! Hope everyone is ok x

Octopus37 · 01/03/2022 07:32

9st1.75 this morning, hoping to get a bit more on track this month. February was a bit of a right off for various reasons.

OP posts:
QueenMabby · 01/03/2022 07:47

9st 12.4lb this morning. Weight is stable but am not losing which is v depressing as I'm not snacking and I don't think I'm overeating.
Feb/March is a busy month for us birthdays and celebrations wise so it is tricky. This week I'm out for dinner on Saturday and then for Sunday lunch. Will try and make good choices!
I'd love to be under 9st 10lb by the end of the month. That is my goal.

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 01/03/2022 08:26

Very hard to feel that Queen..
I had been going well but a few 3 course meals in one week have definitely thrown me off track so back on it this week. 9st3 to start March. I just have to take day by day as too much looking ahead doesn't help me..
Intentions, and I've been going well on them overall : hot water and lemon first thing, 2.5L water, no phone overnight, no junk.
Food wise: berries and yoghurt, chilli bean soup, undecided dinner. Pancakes... Feeling unsure?!

QueenMabby · 01/03/2022 08:48

Likely a slice of toast for me for breakfast. Going for coffee with a friend this morning but will have cappuccino rather than my usual caramel latte!
Hot salad with feta for lunch and mushroom linguine planned for dinner. Pancakes unlikely (not a big fan) although I'll make them for the others.

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 01/03/2022 08:53

Lunch and dinner sound delicious Queen! Enjoy your cappuccino!

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 01/03/2022 10:20

10/8 here today, and started the day with a boiled egg and soldiers. We had a roast chicken on Sunday so I made a vat of soup yesterday with the leftovers which will keep me in lunches for the week, but I am hoping DP picks up pancakes on his way home...

DirtOnThePlough · 01/03/2022 14:36

I need to properly catch up but I'm starting tomorrow as it's the first day of Lent. My digestive system is in distress and I need to cut out bread and chocolate.

Hi all. 2.6lbs loss for me in Feb which I’m happy with as I don’t have masses to lose. Aiming for 2lbs for Feb. Done a tonne of steps to achieve that. Really struggling to get it off this time round but it all adds up. Good luck all for March

swallowedAfly · 01/03/2022 22:35

I fell off the thread. I didn't weight today so will try and weigh tomorrow.

I've just been work busy and tired of late and engrossed in world events.

Thanks for new thread Octopus and well done on the ciggies Judy. I switched from smoking to vaping when I turned 40 so still a nicotine addict but without the tar and CO2 and all the other nasties and I'm happy with that. It's been over 6 years now. I let myself smoke cigarettes on holiday if I want to but usually the novelty wears off pretty quick as I feel like crap in the morning after smoking.

LBB2020 · 01/03/2022 23:25

Not the best start to the month today! Work was manic so I didn’t get chance to eat until almost 4pm and then I couldn’t stop! Was WFH so hardly any steps and definitely not enough water!
I’ll start again tomorrow for the first day of Lent with you @DirtOnThePlough Smile

swallowedAfly · 02/03/2022 06:46

11:11. I lost 5lbs in February which isn’t bad. Could do with a whoosh month now ready for going away.

Octopus37 · 02/03/2022 07:39

@swallowedAfly that's fantastic well done. Weighed this morning, I'm the same.

World events certainly put this in perspective, so scary.

Off to a funeral this afternoon, so trying to get ahead with my work this morning.

QueenMabby · 02/03/2022 07:46

@swallowedAfly - fantastic loss. Well done!
@Judystilldreamsofhorses - well done on keeping off the cigarettes.
I had a good day yesterday and will hopefully have another good one today. Having my hair cut this morning - going a bit shorter so that might be another 1/2lb off - is that cheating?? 🤣🤣

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 02/03/2022 08:44

Amazing IswallowedaFly. What would you say has worked best for you? The same here this AM but feeling lousy. Haven't eaten breakfast which isn't like me.Have had my lemon water tho.
Plan:
Berries and yoghurt
Ratatouille with kidney beans and halloumi
Something with mince - lasagna and veg perhaps.
2.5L water minimum, feeling really dehydrated lately.

CharlieBubbles88 · 02/03/2022 20:08

Sorry to hear of those struggling. It's not the easiest time of year given it's still so gloomy weather wise, plus everything else going on

I'm strictly no calls in the evening as something usually causes me stress or anxiety. I'm learning to put boundaries in place and say no to things that aren't helpful to me. My evening routine is much better now which is hopefully helping with sleep (and sleep eating)

Home made butternut squash and bacon soup for lunch under 200 cals and homemade beef and mushroom curry tonight with cauli rice. Also keeping up with the yoga, steps, water and skin care

DirtOnThePlough · 02/03/2022 22:26

Here's to a great month for us all! Ds had chicken pox and was off for 10 days then it was half term and inset days so I'm not long back in the swing of the school run up those blooming hills. 10 miles and 101 floors today. I've stuck to my Lenten pledge of giving up chocolate and bread (ok I know it's only day one but that's the hardest day) and haven't eaten after dinner tonight. I'm hungry but not too bad and I'll soon get used to doing intermittent fasting again. It worked very well for me before and will do again. Too scared to step on the scales.

World events are very frightening and we all need to take a little time each day to relax and recharge.

Octopus37 · 03/03/2022 07:43

@DirtOnThePlough I agree.

I didn't weight in today, very few steps yesterday. Had a funny day's eating yesterday, afternoon and then too many breadsticks with humus and crisps in the evening.

OP posts:
swallowedAfly · 03/03/2022 07:44

I've no doubt put some of it back on already as I ended up eating a packet of jaffa cakes last night in one of those states I get where I'm literally in light sleep and then somehow I'm awake and ravenous and compelled to get sugar. Used to happen a lot, annoying as hell. I'm literally done for the night, drifting off into proper sleep then suddenly hit with a feeling of ravenous compulsion.

Anyway. New day.

No idea I'm afraid HeyGirl. I'm just winging it with trying not to eat too much and trying to have days where I eat very little sometimes. Not much of a strategy but about all I can manage at the minute. Really hoping improved weather helps everything as it all feels a bit of a tired, uphill battle at the minute in most areas of life.

LBB2020 · 03/03/2022 07:48

Not a bad day yesterday but as I was WFH not enough steps. DS2 came down with a sickness bug yesterday and I had to collect him early from childcare, hoping it doesn’t go through the rest of the house!
I have given up crisps and chocolate for Lent, day 1 done!
Quiet day at home today with the children (hoping DS2 is over the worst of the sickness), if it stays dry I’ll try to get out for a walk to get some fresh air and exercise.
Hope everyone has a good day
