Morning, I'm looking for some company in my quest to lose the lard.

I'm useless at dieting, I have managed to shift one stone since Christmas but I keep losing and gaining, rinse and repeat.

Anyone up for joining me.

Totally Me. Just on the cusp of 50. Have 5st to loose. Have always had 5st to loose and no will power.

Just really don't know how to start and if I do, how to stick to it this time.

Good morning fellow fatties. Thanks for joining me.

Well I've managed to lose a stone since new year by really cutting down on the chocolate and cakes. I'm really good for a few days and then I will just lose it and stuff my face all day long.

What's different for me this time is every time I balls up, I just get back on it the next day. The old me would have just given up and carry on eating for weeks until I would decide to try again. Totally crazy behaviour.

I'm 52 and this morning I weighed 11st 3/4lb.

Well done on losing a stone - that's a great start.

I've been trying 8/16 but it hasn't worked out for me. I think I need to eat little and often high protein foods.

And I must stop eating fatty foods - I already have a problem with my gallbladder so it's not doing me any favours.

Can I join you ladies please, I'm 49 and certainly in need of shifting some weight. Too frightened to get on the scales yet.. I've ignored them for well over a year. I've eaten and drink far too much since last March!! I did start the 18/6 fasting and only have black coffee everyday until lunch time but I can see no difference (I feel no different). My size 12's are hugging.. I'm absolutely not buying a 14. I was good and went back to the gym today and have pressed re-start on my clinch to 5k. My plan is to calorie count, exercise daily Either swimming or running to kick start weight loss. I'm not ready to face the summer feeling like this so something has to be done!

I'd like to join too please. I'm 53 and need to shift 3 stone. Had a hip replacement 4 year ago, lost some weight after that but ... you know the story! Other hip is starting to grumble and I think getting lighter would really help. I did the blood sugar 800 type diet before and plan to use it again.

Morning! How we all doing?
Quite proud of myself this week.. no carbs for dinner each evening. My aim is to get that down to no carbs all day everyday. Wine intake is down to.. still too frightened to get on the scales though 😬. Does everyone have a weigh day? Maybe we should set one to be a little more accountable.

Hi, joining too. I am 54 and weigh 11st 3lbs. I have 2 stone to lose. Was never over 9 stone (other than pregnancies) until I hit 50. Still having monthly periods. I feel terrible. Too much wine and carbs. I look like a Noddy character, Mr Plod/Big Ears take your pick, huge tummy basically.

Starting today, happy to weigh in once a week, walking will be my exercise, reduce or cut out booze and bread. Otherwise just common sense unprocessed meals. I really feel dreadful so doing it for that reason mainly. wakeupnshakeup well done so far, maybe measure your waist if you don’t fancy weighing? Just so you can track your progress.

Well done everyone who’s made a start!

I already do 16:8, and skip breakfast, I need to cut back on my ‘treats’ as they’re not treating me well atm. I am limited in what I can do due to my health, and my husband hasn’t been to do a proper shop for a few weeks, so not many veg around. Although I am trying to improve my gut biome with sauerkraut and unpasteurised cheese too.

And I think I have found a gentle yoga class I can manage which is a step forward, I used to be very sporty and it’s hard not doing any exercise. I weigh myself on a Monday.

Keep on keeping on everyone!

technically! - 5 minutes left of being "in my 50s" - but I'll join in, starting Tuesday - lots of birthday celebrations lined up for the weekend.
I'd be happy to lose 10 kilos, but ultimate goal is 30kg

Me please! I’ve had two meals out today with different people and feel like a beach ball. I have at least five stones to lose and will be starting on Tuesday after party weekend away. It’s a shame really as I bloody love food and drink but have to do something soon to avoid future horridness.

I've had a difficult week - health issues regarding my gallbladder. I need to speak with my GP but it's been impossible to get hold of them. Will try again Tuesday.

I have bought an exercise bike (!) and ordered Feel Great, Lose Weight book.

I have no idea how to plan my diet - needs to be low fat because of my gallbladder but I think it also needs to be low carb. Nothing really fits the bill.

Need to be close to 10st to feel better. Going to take it 7lbs at a time.
Target for 11st 7 by 17th July.

MercedesBenz 2lbs overnight wow! I am abandoning the slow and steady plan and going to try the fast800. The food looks great. I’ve been invited to a lunch (people who I haven’t seen in a year, and I am much fatter now) on 26th June so I am going to try to lose a stone in 4 weeks. I am feeling pretty desperate at this point.

I've just gone on holiday for the week, but I need to lose at least a stone maybe 2 and have hurt my back lifting stuff in the garden...

Currently feeling sore after several hours in the car... painkillers not touching it so I'm i left with alcohol and comfort eating...
