Morning, I'm looking for some company in my quest to lose the lard.

I'm useless at dieting, I have managed to shift one stone since Christmas but I keep losing and gaining, rinse and repeat.

Anyone up for joining me.

I'm up for do company... 2022 was a write off but I'm starting tomorrow...

Dry January (2nd onwards) and trying to get back into better habits, less carbs and snacks and more exercise...

Started Hrt last year.. still got some unresolved symptoms and gained more weight...

50s are much harder than I thought they'd be!

@putthehamsterbackinitscage great to have some company! I am doing dry January too, I drink wine every single night so really need to do it. I am cutting out bread but otherwise I am just cooking everything from scratch, sensible protein and lots of veg. Walk every day. Better habits like you say. Yesterday went well. I have 35 lbs to lose. If it takes 6 or 7 months that’s fine. I was slim till I hit 50, it is so much harder to lose weight now but I am so sick of the fat. I am avoiding friends at this point as I am so embarrassed at the state of me.

Anyone else around?

Hi all, I've just turned 50 and had 5.5st in total to lose to get a healthy BMI. 2.5st gone since November, and am feeling great. Very motivated and in control. I've had a health scare which was like a rocket up the bum, and want to be around for a long time to annoy my daughters😁

@CreepingCrone how have you done that?? That’s amazing 😄

I've been on every single diet over the years. SW made my IBS flare up chronically. I found myself in a bingeing spiral, desperately unhappy. I even looked at gastric balloon surgery and ozempic. Eventually I went with Cambridge 121 plan. It gave me chance to catch my breath and have several weeks with just their products, which massively calmed my anxiety about binge eating. I'm slowly moving up the steps and introducing food. The plan has made me feel really calm. And in control. When I've had a blue, I get back in the horse instead of beating myself up about it. Honestly, the last 12 weeks have been an oasis after decades of problematic eating and negative self talk. I'm learning more about what I need and how my head works It's not for everyone, but it's suits me right now
