So I’m fed up of being fat, and it’s time to take action.
Lately my skin has been a mess and periods have stopped, I’ve had numerous tests and it looks like obesity is the cause 😩.
I am so embarrassed but fuck it.
I am currently 30, 5’4 and weigh 18 stone.
I’d like to get down to 10 stone eventually but even a stone or two would motivate me.
As of tomorrow no more shit!

Would anyone like to join?
Wether you have a lot (like me!) or a little to lose!

Morning, yes I will join you. I actually started yesterday.

I have around three stone to lose, 5'4 and totally fed up.

NameChange564738 · 01/08/2020 07:28

Meeee, I will.

Currently 28, 5 foot 4 and 14st 10lb (last time I weighed) gulp.

My stretch marks are bloody hurting right now so I need to kick my ass into gear.

solait · 01/08/2020 07:31

We three are 5'4!

NameChange564738 · 01/08/2020 08:02

Maybe it’s the 5 foot 4 thread😂🙈

solait · 01/08/2020 08:20

The 5'4 fatties!

Ok so I've weighed myself. I am 11.11. It's time to take serious action.

Spaghettihooplas · 01/08/2020 08:26

I’m 5ft 3.....5ft 4 is that close enough to join in 😊. I downloaded the nhs weight loss App yesterday seeing if that helps. I have about 3& 1/2 - 4 stone to lose. Blush
I’ve just had a bowl of Cheerios for breakfast, about half the size of my normal bowl.

solait · 01/08/2020 08:28

@Spaghettihooplas if you stand up really straight I'm sure you could reach 5'4 Grin

Spaghettihooplas · 01/08/2020 08:30

@solait yes put some chunky shoes on... I’m in Grin

Spaghettihooplas · 01/08/2020 08:32

So what are you all going to do? Calorie counting? More exercise? Or are you following a plan?

Namechange8471 · 01/08/2020 08:52

Hi ladies nice to meet you all 😊
Good old calorie counting for me, and 10,000 steps a day.

OP posts:
solait · 01/08/2020 08:55

Calorie counting and 10,000 steps per day for me too.

SillyLittleBiscuit · 01/08/2020 08:56

I’m 5’5 but can stoop! 3 stone overweight. I’m trying to focus on exercise over diets. I’m hoping I get so into working out that the good thing will find follow. I’m on week 1 of a 10 week at home resistance band programme.

NameChange564738 · 01/08/2020 09:08

Probably going to use my fitness pal to track everything and get out and move more!!

How far is 10k steps roughly? I’ve just got into baby wearing which makes dog walking easier😂

solait · 01/08/2020 09:13

@NameChange564738 10k steps is roughly just under 5miles.

Cooltalkin · 01/08/2020 09:24

5’ 4’’ and overweight
I have found my people !
At 14 21b am obese not overweight ... just about getting into pre lockdown clothes and damned if I will buy bigger
Been reading the obesity code so I am planning on following a 5:2 plan

Cooltalkin · 01/08/2020 09:25

14 2 not 1421 bloody phone

solait · 01/08/2020 09:28

@Cooltalkin I too refuse to buy bigger clothes. I squeeze myself into the ones that I have.

NameChange564738 · 01/08/2020 09:35

@solait oh fab yeah that’s doable!

Do I start before or after a slap up cooked dinner with dessert?!👀 better get out early otherwise there’ll be no moving in the afternoon.

tiredanddangerous · 01/08/2020 09:41

I'm 5ft 7 but I could slouch?

I started on Monday at 18st 4 Blush

solait · 01/08/2020 09:43

@NameChange564738 you best start right now 😁

solait · 01/08/2020 09:45

@tiredanddangerous what plan do you have to lose the weight? Well done for sticking at it since Monday. Yesterday was my day one.

tiredanddangerous · 01/08/2020 09:58

My plan is healthy meals and limited treats. I did it a couple of years ago and lost 3 stone. All gone back on now Blush my biggest challenge will be staying off the wine I think. I'd got in the habit of drinking at least 4 nights a week in lockdown.

I'm really going this time something clicks and I can keep going. I'm 40 now so I really feel like big changes need to be made.

basilika · 01/08/2020 11:43

I'm joining, 5'3'' and 13st 13lb. I've been pretty good since lockdown and not actually put any weight on, but I keep losing then gaining 3lbs. I'm just fed up of being fat, especially in this weather.

Spaghettihooplas · 05/08/2020 08:55

Hey everyone...how are you doing???
I’ve got to say I’m struggling already, went way off yesterday. I think it’s lack of planning for me x Sad

middleager · 05/08/2020 09:03

5ft 2 and 12 stone here.
Day three today of calorie counting (1200) with MFP and cross training machine at home.

I lost half a stone over 4 weeks doing this in June, only to put it all back on when we went away last week!

What drives me is a BMI of 30 that's officially obese. I'm 47 and my blood pressure is often high and with Covid, I want to bring this down.

Spaghetti are you using a tracker? This has always helped me to plan (former Gold Weight Watchers member, here, shines badge Star).
