So I’m fed up of being fat, and it’s time to take action.
Lately my skin has been a mess and periods have stopped, I’ve had numerous tests and it looks like obesity is the cause 😩.
I am so embarrassed but fuck it.
I am currently 30, 5’4 and weigh 18 stone.
I’d like to get down to 10 stone eventually but even a stone or two would motivate me.
As of tomorrow no more shit!

Would anyone like to join?
Wether you have a lot (like me!) or a little to lose!

Down one lb (which is better than putting on one lb)

Meal plan in place for the week so hopefully I will stay on track. Work is so busy at the moment that exercise isn't even a vague possibility although I am trying to put in as many steps as possible during the day.

MercedesDeMonteChristo · 21/11/2020 08:24

No loss this week and something of a miracle that I haven’t put on.

Onward towards Christmas, still 4 pounds to shed before then.

RuudGullitOnAShed · 25/11/2020 19:10

No loss for me again - I think if I can not put any on in the next few weeks I will be relieved.
Work is crazy and incredibly stressful at the moment so whilst I'm trying hard not to snack I'm not doing particularly well at eating regular and healthy meals.

MercedesDeMonteChristo · 25/11/2020 20:23

Just keep it up Ruud. That’s all you can do. You are doing great.

RuudGullitOnAShed · 30/11/2020 19:07

Back on track ... ish

I have a Tesco delivery coming tomorrow and all my meals are planned for the rest of the week so hopefully I'll see a loss.

MercedesDeMonteChristo · 01/12/2020 12:03

Excellent. I’ve had another weight loss comment so feel I need to up the ante. I’ve stopped counting but I think I need to revert back.

MercedesDeMonteChristo · 06/12/2020 19:43

Who remembers when I said that when I have lost all the weight that I want to buy some lululemon/sweaty betty leggings. So, for the first time ever I actually looked at their websites and at £75-£100 per pair I think I might rethink my reward.

I am failing miserably at the moment, I've got a real boredom eating problem. I am going to try to fix this a bit this week.

Hi all - hope you don't mind me joining in. I've been reading this thread and have got halfway through and all your stories are really interesting and I'm following all your journeys. I've been low-cal/low carbing for 10 days now. The first 6 days I was having a cup-a-soup and a boiled egg salad every day plus coffee with semi-skimmed milk as I was waiting for some meal replacements to arrive. I lost 5lb in the first 6 days. I started the meal replacements 4 days ago and I haven't lost anything. I've replaced the coffee with water (which I'm struggling to drink so much) but my question is:- These meal replacements are between 200 to 250 calories per meal but do they only work as 200 - 250 calories when you are following the diet to a T? I'm wondering if maybe they shoot up in calories if they are eaten randomly and not to the strict diet plan? It's probably a daft question but I can't work out why I've not lost anything. I'm on about 800 calories a day and have about 1 stone to lose and was hoping to have lost it all by Christmas but I can't see that happening now. Any thoughts?? Thank you and well done to you all.

MercedesDeMonteChristo · 09/12/2020 19:11

Hmmm, good question. I don’t really know the answer. Could your body be going into protective mode (possible I made that up) or something? If you are in calorie deficit then you should be losing.

Welcome though. We are quite a quiet thread with about 4/5 of us I think now.

CatchTheCulprit · 09/12/2020 20:41

Hi MercedesDeMonteChristo thanks for replying. I'm really not sure what's going on either!! I think I'll carry on with these shakes etc until Friday and then if I still haven't lost anything then I'll have to resort back to the boiled egg salads. It get's very boring though but if I have it my head that it'll only be for two weeks then I'll have to cope. Thanks for your help - off to read some more of the thread, I'm halfway down page 8.

CatchTheCulprit · 09/12/2020 21:08

Just realised I didn't do the @MercedesDeMonteChristo...........

ThreeLadsPointingAtAStar · 11/12/2020 23:17

Ruud here with a name change.

Welcome @CatchTheCulprit - how's it going?

I've stalled, but haven't gained - I think I am going to resign myself to a seasonal blip and refocus in January.

To compensate I plan to up my exercise and aim to walk more.

MercedesDeMonteChristo · 12/12/2020 08:09

Hello hello. I’ve stalled too but I’ve been eating whatever I want with no regard. I’ve started tracking again as of yesterday. I’m still hopeful to lose a couple of pounds before Christmas. I only really indulge the one day over Christmas so going to keep going.

My walking is still going strong though. I really find the exercise makes a difference.

CatchTheCulprit · 12/12/2020 09:37

Hi there, I'm not doing well either. I weighed myself this morning 1lb off in 6 days. Went to the loo, weighed myself again and I put 1lb 8oz on!! I've just bought myself a new set of scales and will report back when they've arrived. I'd just better not be even heavier 😠😠.

MercedesDeMonteChristo · 12/12/2020 09:53

@CatchTheCulprit I wonder if you are weighing too often? I know some plans advocate daily weighing but I can’t get my head around it, things do fluctuate due to cycle, morning activities etc.

I was the opposite at one month which was too big a gap because I farted about then had a sparse week just before weigh in.

I have found once a week to be much better. My body has had a chance to adjust to what I’ve been doing and I can normally (when doing it all properly) see a change.

CatchTheCulprit · 12/12/2020 10:27

I've just weighed 4 pint cans of Fosters (not mine!!) on my kitchen scales. They weigh 5lb 3oz. I then weighed them on my bathroom scales and they don't even register. Aaaagh - I could be 5lb+ more...........

catchingzzzeds · 03/02/2021 10:41

Is anyone still around?
I piled on 7llbs over Christmas and it's taken me until now to get motivated to get back on it. Tried a couple of weeks ago but found myself stuffing my face continually.
I'm really hoping I can get back into the zone.
