So I’m fed up of being fat, and it’s time to take action.
Lately my skin has been a mess and periods have stopped, I’ve had numerous tests and it looks like obesity is the cause 😩.
I am so embarrassed but fuck it.
I am currently 30, 5’4 and weigh 18 stone.
I’d like to get down to 10 stone eventually but even a stone or two would motivate me.
As of tomorrow no more shit!

Would anyone like to join?
Wether you have a lot (like me!) or a little to lose!

Blimey, she literally is doing it to mess you up! I know you said she was but I thought perhaps she was also just a cake lover and a feeder and tripping you up was a bonus but she is actually really trying! Unbelievable.

How's everyone doing?

I've stalled and not lost anything. A combination of inactivity (done something to my back) and too large portions. I haven't been eating unhealthy food, just too much of everything.

I'm going to be really good this week - I've meal planned and am going to make sure that portions are normal and not huge,

I lost 4lb ... put it all back on ! Lost 3 again !!! Using Nutracheck now to count cals or carbs ... upping the walking and starting couch to 5k AGAIN !!! tomorrow

Stayed the same which is a miracle.
I’ve been eating excessive amounts of chocolate, tea and coffee with sugar, not enough water etc. Haven’t been walking or exercising nearly as much.

I can feel it too. I’m not sleeping as well, feeling lethargic.

I’m trying to tackle water today and just need to remember how I was feeling when I was exercising and eating well.

I've been the same with water @MercedesDeMonteChristo - I was doing well until half term and then I lost the rhythm.

I'm sitting here with a big mug of hot water and lemon and trying to remind myself of how much better I felt when I was focused.

My Fitness Pal has just informed me I have logged in for 85 days in a row.
It's about 45 days until Christmas so I need the next 45 days to be focused and ideally I'd like to lose another 5 - 7lb by then

@Alicatz66 well done. I’ve just got back from my walk. 3.2 miles but some tough hills and mud today.

I had a massive boost on the school. A mum I only know to say hello to in passing stopped me to tell me how fantastic I look and I’ve lost so much weight. If that doesn’t keep me on track today, nothing will.

It's lovely when people notice your weight loss, hope it's given you a real boost.
I was back to work today after the half term break followed by a week of isolation and it was good to be feeling active again, I walk to and from work and I'm on my feet for most of the day. I work in a large secondary school so lots of walking between classes.
I've lost another 4lbs so another 3 and I will have lost 2.5 stone. Desperate to hit 3 stone off before Christmas so that's my motivation.

Yesterday - 1344 calories in

Good stuff

  • drank more water and didn’t snack as much
  • 3 mile walk

Things to work on

  • still had 3 coffees: would like to reduce to 2 today
  • more water still

And you sound as if you are back on track.

I've eaten sensibly today and am under calories and I have prepared tea for tomorrow as I know I will be home late and that's when I am likely to succumb to temptation and start eating unhealthy stuff.

WEll yesterday ended up with loads of chocolate and coffees. Wasn’t hungry, didn’t need to yada yada.

Plus point: I did my walk and was measured otherwise.

Fresh this morning and my 1 goal today is to drink more water - still.

Gutted today ... went for my Couch to 5k jog and forgot to put my Fitbit on !!! Tragedy !!!

Oh @Alicatz66!

DH has donated his Fitbit to me but it said I burnt 800 cals on my walk so I’m not sure it’s working.

Highs today include

  • far more water
  • good walk with hills
  • good meals and in calorie deficit

To work on

  • still caffeine intake (with sugar)
  • the chocolates just because I can

Tomorrow morning I am going to have 1.5 spoons of sugar in my coffee with a view to shaving off 0.5 of a spoon at a time.

@Alicatz66 - that's the worst feeling, isn't it. At least your body counts the steps even if the Fitbit isn't present!

I managed more water today and I've discovered that taking porridge to work for lunch works well for me as it leaves me full for the afternoon.

I need to tackle the water too ! .. I'm
Drinking tea all day but my big water bottle lies untouched .. will aim for one bottle a day for a start .. I think it's just under a litre so not too bad. .. got DH birthday this weekend .. have a long weekend booked off work as we had booked to go away which is now cancelled.. treating ourselves to delivered food every night !! Will stick to starters and small portions ( this is the plan !) ...

I weighed in on Friday and am 2lbs down so 13st 4.

Still battling the caffeine/sugar but keeping at it.

It's going well here, I've found my mojo again.
Starting weight in august 14st 7lb
Current weight 12st 2lbs

I'm only 5'2" so a way to go but I'm getting there.

Can I just ask what you put on MFP for salad? Its so laborious to put everything down separately..

I do just put it all in separately I am afraid. But I reckon you could put 60 cals (tomato, cucumber and lettuce) then whatever dressing you might be using. Or enter it all as recipe then just use that.

Thanks, I normally put about 60 cals for salad. It's surprising how many calories for fruit and veg, after being on Slimming World you tend to think of them as very little to nothing.
