Anyone want to join to lose up to a stone?

I have 10-14lbs to lose to start feeling comfortable in myself again. I'm 5' 6.

9 stone is my fighting weight but I'm at least 10 stone now, and I know it's going to continue creeping up.

I look at threads already going on here but when lots of people are already on I feel like I get lost on it Grin

So I'm aiming to start Monday, not sure what plan I'll be following yet, but will have to eat less and exercise more as I've noticed my thighs are rubbing a little and got some fat on my back etc.

I’ll join you!! I started a couple of weeks ago and it’s a slow old process. Trying to do low carb but I’m finding that so difficult!!
I’m 45 and the weight takes ages to come off but I’m determined to loose a stone. I’ve lost 1.5lb in 2 weeks so I’m going to carry on doing what I’m doing. I’ll get there in the end!

Mustardpot · 04/07/2020 12:14

I’m in BroodyBridget and Chocolatecake12.

I am 5ft 5”, 10 st 4 lbs, fighting weight is 9 stone but 10 lbs off would get rid of the worst of the blubber. I am 53 so it’s a bit uphill. I think I will low carb.

Skyliner001 · 04/07/2020 12:15

I'll join 5'3" Currently 8.12. Want to be 8.6 😊😊

overweightcat · 04/07/2020 12:49

Ooh can I join? I've nearly hit my target hoping to by the end of August or earlier if I can.

Starting weight was 74kg (11st 9lbs) at my 5'5
Currently 65.5kg (10st 4lbs)
Aiming for 60kg (around 9st 6lbs)

So under a stone to go will be just over 2 stone when I (fingers crossed) hit my goal.
From there I think I will just work on toning.
I was wondering if I should go for under 60kg but I use MFP and calorie count at the moment and I worked out I would have to really keep my cals down if I wanted to maintain it so 60kg seems like a weight I can actually maintain without having to sacrifice too much and deny myself things all the time.

Egghead68 · 04/07/2020 12:52

I’ll join you. I’ve gone from 63kg to about 70kg after being ill in bed for 3 months with covid. I’m not likely to lose weight fast but I’d like to start shifting it slowly. I am 1.76m.

Friedeggsontoast · 04/07/2020 12:53

I have exactly the same to lose and the same height!
What's your plan? Let's do this 😄

Alexkate2468 · 04/07/2020 12:54

I’ll join too. Not a whole stone to lose but about half. I’m no good at being disciplined Roth diet and exercise so this might motivate me.

Swearwolf · 04/07/2020 13:09

I'm in! I have about a stone to lose to be comfortable, ideally one and a half. I'm 5'2" and currently 10.4, I've been losing and gaining the same six pounds for what feels like forever. I've upped my exercise and am aiming to go out running or cycling 3-4 times a week. It's been hard to get time to do it in lockdown with the kids around.

I plan to just count calories, exercise more than I have been, and drink less. Weekends only!

BroodyBridget · 04/07/2020 13:12

Ok great! I'm glad there'll be a few of us :)

Is anyone weighing in on a particular day? I'll get weighed Monday morning just to see the damage Grin in tempted to use Saturday as weigh day so then I can have a relaxed Sunday....

Mustardpot · 04/07/2020 13:23

I don’t mind what day I weigh, happy with Monday’s. overweightcat well done on your loss so far, we are about the same starting stats.

Alexkate2468 · 04/07/2020 13:30

Monday is fine with me.

overweightcat · 04/07/2020 13:47

I weight in on Sunday's but happy to post Monday if everyone else is!

BroodyBridget · 04/07/2020 14:00

Ok great well I'll post on Monday's!

Will find out my starting weight this Mon, my goal weight to begin with will be 9 stone 7 Smile and will just see how I go!

OP posts:
Swearwolf · 04/07/2020 15:05

My goal weight is similar. First goal is 9 stone 10, after that I'd like to get to about 9 stone 3. I used to sit comfortably at around 8 stone 10 but I just don't think I'll ever be that size again!

BroodyBridget · 04/07/2020 17:27

I'm so pleased there's a few of us, feel like I'll be held accountable Grin

I bought some delicious cupcakes today for the family so will enjoy one of those tonight, and a big Sunday roast tomorrow with some yummy 'picky' sweet stuff tomorrow night with DH (our naughty Sunday tradition 🙄) then will get weighed Monday morning and crack on.

I very loosely started 16:8 during lockdown and felt pretty good so I may attempt to continue that.

Chocolatecake12 · 04/07/2020 17:47

I’m making pizzas tonight so will make mine a bit smaller than usual if I’m doing low carb!! Then tomorrow we’re going to my parents for a bbq so I’ll have to try hard to be ‘good’ there. Then I’ll weigh in on Monday and post.

BroodyBridget · 04/07/2020 19:24

@Chocolatecake12 enjoy your pizza and BBQ! It's so hard trying to find an enjoyable middle ground I find Grin

Swearwolf · 04/07/2020 19:31

My big problem is drinking too much, is resolved to not drink for the next week! But I'm very much fancying a gin right now.

BroodyBridget · 04/07/2020 19:36

@Swearwolf can you get yourself a nice cold glass of something non-alcoholic and see if it takes the edge off?
Good luck keeping off it for a week! Smile

OP posts:
Swearwolf · 04/07/2020 19:48

@BroodyBridget that's exactly what I need, not someone telling me to go ahead and have one because it's the weekend! I'm usually alright during the week, but find myself slipping in more and more days for weaker and weaker reasons! It's definitely where most of my calories are coming from at the moment.

Skyliner001 · 05/07/2020 09:08

I am weighing daily, but very happy to feed in on my Monday weight!

Skyliner001 · 05/07/2020 09:09

Although weekends are my worst 😳

LynnThese4reSEXPEOPLE · 05/07/2020 09:28

Me too please! Lockdown+kids = too much wine/chocolate!

TheBitchOfTheVicar · 05/07/2020 09:37

I'd like to join in. Not entirely sure what weight I am - probably about 10 stone 8. Want to be 9 12

BroodyBridget · 05/07/2020 09:37

@Swearwolf I'm very happy to be a kick up the bum for anyone who feels they need keeping on the right track Grin

@Skyliner001 great! Weekends are my worst too, however I'm hoping that weighing on a Monday will help me not be quite so bad. I'll give it a couple of weeks and if it doesn't work for me I may change to a Saturday morning weigh so I can relax a little on the Sunday and get back on it on the Monday Smile

@LynnThese4reSEXPEOPLE I wish I could only blame lockdown but it's been creeping on a little while! Hopefully we can all motivate each other and get the extra weight off soon Smile

I've recently treat myself to some new summer clothes, just a few bits from New Look, that will look much better with a few lbs off (some I even ordered in the next size up but which was a bitter pill to swallow)
