I have 10-14lbs to lose to start feeling comfortable in myself again. I'm 5' 6.

9 stone is my fighting weight but I'm at least 10 stone now, and I know it's going to continue creeping up.

I look at threads already going on here but when lots of people are already on I feel like I get lost on it Grin

So I'm aiming to start Monday, not sure what plan I'll be following yet, but will have to eat less and exercise more as I've noticed my thighs are rubbing a little and got some fat on my back etc.

BroodyBridget - 10 stone ish (will weigh tomorrow)

Hope I've managed to get everyone on the list who's given me their starting weight! If I've missed you off please let me know so I can add you on Smile I'm hoping tomorrow will be better than I'm expecting! Will try and get weighed in the morning before work if possible (I don't have scales in the house and not sure if I'll be allowed to use Boots scales!) and aim for a good, healthy day.

Sending you all lots of motivation Grin[/quote]
Thank you for this, I'm there!!

Skyliner001 · 06/07/2020 08:24

8stone 12 this morning which was the same as my starting weight but I weigh high on a Monday so don't feel too bad! Need to knock the naughty weekends on the head!

Skyliner001 · 06/07/2020 08:24

Amazing results from everyone else 😊

Pannacottaformeplease · 06/07/2020 08:31

Can I join in please? I'm 9 stone 7 and aiming to get down to 9 stone as well and I'm also 5'6.

Sarahlou63 · 06/07/2020 08:38

Me too! I'm 5'6", currently 63kg and would like to be 58kg by my birthday which is the end of August (57!).

BroodyBridget · 06/07/2020 08:45

Well done those of you who have started well! And hello to new joiners, I'll get you added on to the list Smile

I've a feeling I won't be able to get weighed this morning which will be a bit of a nuisance... But I'm starting the healthy eating regardless!

Going to have fruit and fibre for breakfast and see where the rest of the day takes me.

Sorry, I didn’t check in on the thread yesterday. I weighed in this morning at 58kg. I want to get down to 52kg (I’m short)

Debjz · 06/07/2020 08:48

@BroodyBridget Great list & thank you for doing it. My starting weight, as I thought is 11stone, so here’s to a great week to all, have a healthy one with good food choices.

pigear · 06/07/2020 09:08

Hi, can I join too please?
I have lost 9 pounds, so far, I'm 11 stone 1.4 at the moment and would like to be about 10 stone, I'm 5 foot 8.

I had lost a further 2 pounds but we had takeaway and cake and it went back on again! I need to get back to exercising but am struggling with a lack of motivation.

I am hoping if I join this thread it will help.

TheNewLook · 06/07/2020 11:02

Hi OP. I’m also 5’6 and my “fighting weight” is 9 stone. Not quite ready to declare what it is now but it’s 8lb less than it was three weeks ago so that’s what I’m focusing on!

I’m using My Fitness Pal. It’s the only way I’ve ever lost weight, I like knowing I can eat anything I want, so long as the end total stays under a certain amount. You can become a bit obsessive about logging the calories but it does make you realise how a handful of nuts here and a handful of crisps there and a few chocolates later really adds up so fast. I’m a grazer and even though I don’t eat big meals or have a problem with portion control, it’s the constant little bits throughout the day that have done the damage.

Turning it around now though - can’t keep blaming baby weight when your youngest is practically at school!

Mustardpot · 06/07/2020 11:03

Morning, feel rough this morning, late night, too much wine and snacks. Why do I do it.

Weighed and I am actually 10st 5lbs. My heaviest weight ever other than when pregnant when I was 10 st 13 lbs! BMI is 24. I am small boned so look and feel terrible at this weight. So cross with myself.

TheNewLook · 06/07/2020 11:04

A lot of 5’6ers on this thread!

TheNewLook · 06/07/2020 11:08

mustardpot best bit to weigh yourself on a Monday. A lot of people ease off the diet at the weekend and are then disappointed to see the extra water weight (which is mostly what it is, especially if you’ve had lots of carbs) on a Monday. If you wait until mid-week you tend to see a more steady loss.

That said, I’m a daily weigher too. Just the advice on other threads has been to choose a mid-week day.

Mustardpot · 06/07/2020 11:14

TheNewLook I’m going to weigh daily too, it won’t upset me if it fluctuates, I need to get a handle on this. I am 5ft 5, I was 5ft 6 but aged 53 I have shrunk! Apparently quite normal.

OooErrThor · 06/07/2020 11:47

Can I join please?

5'9, mid 40's peri menopausal and last time I weighed myself was New Years Eve and I was 77.5kg, I need to dig the scales back out as the muffin top is appearing again!

I'm going to not go on a diet but eat more mindfully, no alcohol and aim for 10/15,000 steps per day Grin

BroodyBridget · 06/07/2020 13:18

Big 'HELLO' to all the new people Smile it's great to see there's so many of us offering support! Rest assured I will update the list this evening to include you all.

Well I had fruit and fibre for my breakfast and lunch is quiche, crisps (oh dear!), a banana and a low fat yoghurt. I need to get more organised with my packed lunch for work.

Not very happy as a customer has asked me if I'm pregnant this morning!!! No I'm not, but apparently I need to get my core toned up Grin

Good afternoon everyone
Gritted the teeth and hopped onto the scales... I’m down 7lbs Smile I now weigh 10 stone 8lbs. Feeling really motivated now to add in some exco because I am almost completely sedentary these days. I’m a lump on a log level of active.
Anyone up for a virtual walk this evening? I’ve given my runners a fright and pulled them out from the back of the wardrobe...
Well done to everyone on here - great results upthread, it’s very motivating!
Onward!

CilantroChili · 06/07/2020 13:37

(My start weight was 11stone 1lb)

SmallPinkBear · 06/07/2020 13:44

Can I join please?
I am 5ft 8 and currently 11 st 11. Want to get it down to (under) 11st by the time term starts in September (I work in a school) and then will work our my next goal.
So far today I have resisted biscuits and chocolate despite the fact we have a ridiculous amount in the house... just need to keep it going. I find after I have done a few days and actually lost something I have a bit more motivation...

BroodyBridget · 06/07/2020 13:44

@CilantroChili a virtual walk is a great idea! If DD settles at a reasonable time later I'll take you up on that Grin even 20 mins to blow the cobwebs off would be a start!

OP posts:
CilantroChili · 06/07/2020 14:15

Exactly @BroodyBridget 20 mins would be 19 mins more than usual for me Blush
I’m going to trot out at 8ish

WhistlersandJugglers · 06/07/2020 14:37

Can I also join? I'm 5'2" and 10st7lb. Ideally I'd like to be 9st6lb but aiming to get under 10 first. I carry all my weight around the middle so I'm a barrel atm and some of my with a waistband are feeling very uncomfortable.

kirstinm · 06/07/2020 15:22

May I join you guys? I had to shield for the start of lockdown and got into a very bad mindset - literally hardly moved for ten weeks. I didn't realise how much I move/walk on a daily basis normally - though I'm by no means an exerciser I walk a couple of miles to and from town everyday to go to Uni and I also have an active part time job in a bar. So to go from that to nothing it's no wonder I've gained weight.

We ordered some scales and I took the plunge and weighed myself. I'm 11stone 2 which is a stone heavier than I've ever been in my adult life so a I think a stone is a perfect initial target for me. The scales track your weight via your phone so going to weigh myself once a week. I'm also ordering an apple watch as a bit of an incentive to keep the steps up! We've started going for walks - managed over 10,000 steps both of the last two days and I've found a few little online work outs to do as well. Also need to cut out the rubbish - we had fallen into a take away and baking habit - and need to watch my portions too.

Hope it's ok to join, be lovely to have some support. I do have an auto immune disease and had a bad flare up in June which really limited what I can do - so trying not to be too hard on myself.

PurplePansy05 · 06/07/2020 15:24

I'm joining as well. I lost a stone this year and regained it following pregnancy and miscarriage in lockdown. Ready to shift this once again and be happier and healthier 💪

morefun · 06/07/2020 16:18

Yeah, I'm in. I just want to lose around 5lbs to be my pre-lockdown weight and wear all my normal clothes and actually look good in them and feel comfortable
