Yes me again ! I’m 13st 6 after Christmas and would kill to be in the 10st bracket again! I’ve reset mfp and after finishing the Brie for tea am starting in the morning. Stress eating is a massive trigger for me especially in school holidays - can’t wait for school to start again Gin

Rayn · 02/01/2020 18:27

Me me me. 15 stone and 5 foot 6. Logging calories and doing 16 - 8

Thismummyruns · 02/01/2020 18:27

Me! Well kind of.
I have 2 stone to lose to get to the ideal weight for me (pre DC2).

I put on 2lbs over Xmas so not fretting massively as could've been worse but it's edged that target further away.
I'm 13st 6lbs too OP and 5ft 9.
Had DC2 in May and tipped the scales at 16st when I weighed myself after the birth so I've lost a bit since then but it's slowed right down.
I feel I need to jump start my metabolism with something new but don't know what!

Thismummyruns · 02/01/2020 18:30

Sorry meant PP! Gawd, can't feed baby and type 1 handed 🤦🏼‍♀️

Oksunny · 02/01/2020 18:52

Welcome everyone!! Nice to have people in similar positions to see it through with. I am determined! Have a holiday in September & really don’t want to feel crap, I want to enjoy it without worrying about hiding my lumps!

I’m doing the OMAD (one meal a day) diet. Some people think it’s crazy, but it really worked for me in the past & I find it much easier to keep myself in line this way. So 9 months to lose 3 stone, but hoping to lose it sooner - of course!

Me too, well more like 5 stone. I have someone calling me from the Cambridge diet tomorrow as I need quick results!!

Sjanish33 · 02/01/2020 19:15

Me. I'm perimenopausal so the weight has stuck around my waist and was beginning to affect my health. I have started back on VLCD today. I have gone from 14 stone 12 lb to 13 stone 6lb before Christmas on low calorie (approx 800 per day)-

I want to get down to 10 stone (or below) I'm 5 foot 3 inches short.

Oksunny · 02/01/2020 19:46

Well done @sjanish33! Also 5ft3 and 13 stone so we are similar sizes.

@RedDhalia good luck! Keep us posted on how it’s going.

I had pasta with red pesto & avocado today. Feel free to share food inspo too, how ever boring... like mine Grin

Me too, not sure my current weight but have definitely put on over Christmas. Planning to do mfp and 16:8. Would love to get down to 10st ish

TidaQuel · 02/01/2020 20:42

Can I join too? I’m 5’4 and currently weighing 13st- my heaviest ever. I’d like to be 10st. although vowed when I was 10st that I’d get to 9! I also had 3 children including twins very close together but that was years ago so I’ve no excuse now really.
I started today, I’m absolutely starving!
I’m just cutting down on what I eat and when. I tend to bing on sugary stuff in the evenings. I have a desk based job and tend to snack on biscuits, although only occasionally, at work.
I also plan to start C25K soon but getting over a bit of a chest infection and have a dodgy knee.
I’ve just filled in mfp- is it worth upgrading?

Would love some recipe ideas too.
I think I’m going to make overnight oats for tomorrow’s brunch at work.

Sjanish33 · 02/01/2020 20:47

@oksunny that pasta sounds yummy. I'm doing total meal replacement for at least another 3 weeks - so my recipes will be open packet, stir or shake and always add chilli flakes :)

I'm not sure whether to continue that - for while it takes the thinking out of dieting it also costs more and I don't want to get to a stage where I feel I'll just go mad on ordinary food. So I may go to MFP and about 1200 cals and low carb to see if that works.

Usernamesarenotmyforte · 02/01/2020 20:54

I need this group! I was doing so well in the first year or so after I had my daughter but then in the last six months I’ve stress eaten everything in sight. We get married in October and I’m shooting for looking alright (reader, I don’t currently look alright).

WhatALearningCurve · 02/01/2020 20:59

Me please! 5 foot 4 and 13 stone (well actually 12 10 today but I think that was more flu and NYE hangover related than actual weight)

Son goes back into nursery on Monday so on Sunday I'm charging my Fitbit and then going to hit 10k steps a day and calorie counting (sticking to 1200 a day). A few months ago I was doing so well and go to about 12 stone but then all my motivation just went out the window.

Does anyone want MFP buddies?

Thismummyruns · 02/01/2020 21:00

I've just been looking at Slimfast to do for this month to give me a quick loss boost- is it a pile of crap?

SallyLovesCheese · 02/01/2020 21:03

I'd like to join, please!

5' 1" and 11st 6lbs, it's been my aim for about the last 20 years to be 8 1/2 st again. Never got that far. I joined WW this time last year after having a baby and I weigh 2lbs less than I did then. So, 2lbs a year means I'll be at goal in...2062? FFS!

lboogy · 02/01/2020 21:08

I'm in the same boat. 5'3 and 12st 5lbs. I'm sticking to no meals after 4 diet and keeping calories below 1600 with at minimum 10k steps a day plus running twice a week. I always find not eating meals after 4 helps speed up weight loss. I guess it's a form of fasting

longrd · 02/01/2020 21:10

Me too! Planning on starting on monday I'm 5.10 13stone 9 eek I'm going to do the James Duncan diet for 4 days (away for a long weekend were lots wine and cheese will be consumed)then back on it on the 13th. Also going to try and fit in a hitt workout atleast 3 times a week.

Usernamesarenotmyforte · 02/01/2020 21:10

@Thismummyruns just before I fell pregnant I started to get properly into shape and I did use slimfast shakes to sort out my cravings for crap food. I might try that again to be fair.

pollypocketx · 02/01/2020 21:11

Can I join!? 2 dress sizes up since having DS 6 months ago 😫😫 Going to slimming world group tomorrow morning !! X

2020yeah · 02/01/2020 21:12

Me too Sad

workshyfop · 02/01/2020 21:18

Yes me. Can I join? Currently 13st 9lb and 5’6”. I want to get to 10st ideally. Started today with mfp doing 1200 calories a day.

Lostintransfixation · 02/01/2020 21:19

Me too. 5 foot 3 and 13 st 5. I started today. Using my fitness pal. My weight has crept up very slowly over 6 years and I've been so busy I've not really noticed. I've been avoiding mirrors and now it's a bit ridiculous! The weight has to come off. Good luck everyone. Apparently the first three weeks are the worst....

Oksunny · 02/01/2020 21:32

Welcome everyone! Looks like a lot of us are heading for a similar end of goal of 10 stone so that’s great in terms of comparing how well the diets are going. You guys can keep me motivated!

As I’m only having one meal a day, at least short term - I’ll happily post it on here daily.

I need to buy some better scales tomorrow so I know my start weight is accurate.

Weigh on an empty stomach right?

Blackbear19 · 02/01/2020 21:43

Can I join in?
Currently 12-6lb and want to be 9-6lb
I'd be happy to get to 10st.

I'm toying with joining WW online, I struggle to find time for groups hence online but might just stick with MFP that I've used before.

Oksunny · 02/01/2020 21:44

Of course @blackbear. What is MFP, seen a few mention it?
