Great news Sjanish

Well done @Sjanish33 and @SunshineAvenue!

I've lost half a pound this week - not much to show for a miserable half term where I've really suffered with ear infections - the poor DTs haven't had much entertainment. Took them out on Saturday as I was feeling slightly better but I was exhausted by 2pm Sad

Sjanish33 · 24/02/2020 19:29

Had another busy weekend of stuffing my face but I'm back to making better choices today @RubySlippers77 a half a pound, is better than a gain any day! Well done. My hope of losing 7lbs in February seems dead in the water unless I literally remove a body part :) I'm currently 2.8lbs down for the month (and I'm not even sure if I have gained this week) I would be happy to round that up to 3lb for the month. I have kept up the exercise, nearly ever day and I'm racking up the miles cycled.

How is your week going @Sjanish33? I'm now on different antibiotics and they are giving me the same stomach pain, plus an awful taste in my mouth... I'm craving chocolate for the sweetness - don't think there's any way on earth I'll lose 7lb in February!!

Sjanish33 · 28/02/2020 14:56

@RubySlippers77 those antibiotics sound nasty - I'm not doing great either infact I reckon I'm up this week, I'll weigh in tomorrow - just another week of not being entirely careful but I'm still exercising and I will get the food/drink intake down - I think it's the cold weather :)

RubySlippers77 · 28/02/2020 21:34

This weather is certainly exceptionally miserable! Hard to be motivated when you're wearing as many layers as you can!!

Looks like our holiday in April may be cancelled - it's a family wedding in Italy - all booked, clothes bought etc if I can fit in them but coronavirus has hit the area already. Hopefully we'd get our money back if we have to cancel, but it would mean no sun Sad I could manage without the extra calories though!

Hi all,
I'm resurrecting this thread to see how everyone is doing and to let you know that this morning I reached my target of losing 3 stone. I joined this thread back in January weighing 13 stone. I'm only 5 feet 3 inches so that was a very heavy weight for someone my height. I had tried every diet going over the years - I always managed to lose a stone or so and then I lost motivation and put it all back again. But this time around I was determined to lose the weight - I was just so sick of being fat and miserable and not having anything to wear. I can write out a list of points of what worked for me if any of you would find it useful. If I can do it, then anyone can. I didn't join a slimming club or sign up for anything expensive, I didn't starve myself or do crazy exercise. It feels so much better to be slimmer - I feel healthier and happier. O still need to lose about half a stone to be the correct weight for my height but I believe I will manage that slowly over the coming months. Good luck to everyone on this thread. I hope your weight loss journeys are going well. Xx

@Zoeyclash that's a fantastic achievement. I'd be really interested to know what's worked for you. I've only lost 10lb and am struggling to keep that from going back on again let alone lose more.

Bikingbear · 15/11/2020 23:10

Zoeyclash, well done, I'm similar weight and height I really struggle to lose and keep motivation to keep going.

How did you manage to keep going?
