Well done on the weight loss guys! I wish I had my scales feel like it would motivate me but I know it’s more about how you feel & I definitely feel less bloated & my face is less puffy already on day 3.

Feeling really motivated at the moment & I think this chat is helping.

I lost 3 stone in 4 months on this diet before so I know it works. Also keep thinking about my holiday clothes & how good id feel getting back into them for September!

May your determination be fierce & all your appetites small today GrinGrin

I'm going to join as well, starting tomorrow which will also be my first day of C25k (eek)

167.2lbs, with a ridiculously fat face and double chin.

babysnowman · 04/01/2020 12:34

@nakedavengeragain We can keep each other motivated! Although I seem to have gained a pound already 😂

Doubleyouexwhyandzed · 04/01/2020 13:50

Day 3 of 800 cals/low carb. I’m cold and shattered. Hoping to start burning some fat soon, just to keep me warm 😂

Sjanish33 · 04/01/2020 14:15

@Doubleyouexwhyandzed that sounds like Ketosis -

@Oksunny yes I hope my appetite stays small :)

Oksunny · 04/01/2020 14:40

Thinking about tonight’s dinner already, what should I have 🤔💭 Something to tide me over for the next 23 long hours! Think pasta is always a good one.

With lots of salad!

I managed to actually get out for a jog this morning and I’ve still got just under 1000 calories left on my allowance on mfp. My daughter has fallen asleep in the car on the way to Tesco’s and I’ve managed to avoid buying a milkshake at McDonald’s or anything which used to be an unfortunate habit that demonstrated how crap my self control around food had got.
I’m also going to buy a scales. And probably have a cry tomorrow morning when I use them! I need this group for accountability.

Oksunny · 04/01/2020 16:09

Me too @usernames kids napping was a great opportunity to get a McDonald’s drive thru 🤦🏼‍♀️ Well done for breaking the habit! You could always get carrot sticks/apple bag & water!

@Usernamesarenotmyforte @Oksunny oh my god I'm glad the napping / McDonald's thing wasn't just me 😂 I've purposefully had a day at home today with my little boy so I didn't get tempted whilst out

Oksunny · 04/01/2020 16:41

@WhatALearningCurve those festive cheese bites 🤤😂

I've got an anniversary dinner tonight Shock I think whatever I do I'll be over my calorie count. I've done a 90min walk today and that's given me an extra 417 calories. MFP says I have 871 calories left for dinner. I've no idea if that will be enough. I'll aim to exercise tomorrow...

Trewser · 04/01/2020 17:10

I went to a sports thing and would normally have had a coffee, bacon roll and probably a mars bar Blush its outside and cold! Had nothing apart from two of dds cheesy chips and two of the ponys polos! Now home for 100 cals of soup before dinner a bit later.

Usernamesarenotmyforte · 04/01/2020 17:28

Ahhh my brethren, the sleeping child carbs and sugar trap. My job can be really stressful and I am definitely self medicating with food. Pleased to report all traps avoided including the sweet aisle in the supermarket and my rubbish memory meant I had to walk all over the shop and am back over 1000 calories remaining! Don’t think dinner will hit that so I’m happy.

The scales are looking at me and judging me though. I also bought a dress that is a size too small (sale) as motivation... does that actually work? Haha

Trewser · 04/01/2020 17:29

Mine are too old to sleep but I agree, when everyone's gone out and i have a bit of time to myself i love settling down with a plate of toast!

MurielTheCamel · 04/01/2020 17:36

Me too, count me in!

5'9
Starting weight 2 Jan 14st 13.6lbs
I would like to be 11st 7lbs by the summer, let's say mid July when the kids break up. That's a little over 1.5lbs per week.

My main thing is fasting, either 18:6 or 24hr fasts, I hope to build that up a bit maybe to the odd 72hr fast.

Plus staying off the crap and no snacking between meals.

Not able to exercise much at the mo due to hyperthyroid but hopefully that will be sorted out in a month or two and I can get back to C25K. It's mostly about the food for me though.

Oksunny · 04/01/2020 18:29

@MurielTheCamel I’m doing 23 hour fast, so just one meal a date. I just ate & feel so full! I put the left overs in the microwave though for later if needed. Not sure if that breaks the rules 🤷🏼‍♀️

@Lostintransfixation don’t worry, you can’t help when there’s pre arranged plans. Food is really hard to avoid! Tomorrow’s a new day...

@Usernamesarenotmyforte haha the dress! Well my 2 year old summer dresses are staring at me so a new one should work just as well to motivate!

This may be a stupid question but when are people weighing themselves (time of day) and anyone doing it wearing a full outfit. Just tried the scales out after a full day of meals and in jeans and a jumper. Very much wish I hadn’t but in reality it probably doesn’t make a huge difference!

Oksunny · 04/01/2020 20:01

@Usernamesarenotmyforte pretty sure you’re meant to do it in the morning on an empty stomach with very little on.

Trewser · 04/01/2020 20:27

I do it naked in the morning after a wee hopefully a poo too

Hi all, I've been lurking but thinking. I have known that it is my time to lose 2 stone. Really it should be 3 stone but I feel good at 10 stone. My face has started to look puffy and in M&S the other day I saw the back of myself in the mirror. The front is bad enough but ye Gods, I didn't realise the size of my bum. I'm using my fitbit to track meals. It has got a barcode checker on it and I have input everything that passes my lips. It checks macronutrients as well which is cool. I like this as I can have treats occasionally but it makes me realise that it is more worth it to eat decent food. I have been to M&S to buy decent fruit (blood oranges, black grapes, etc - yummy). I have also bought sachet porridge as it fills me up but is quick and a measured amount for when I go back to work on Monday. Breakfast is often my downfall. I miss it then overeat later as I'm starving. Very conscious that I need to up my water too. I hope that this thread continues as you all seem to be similar to me - I too am borderline diabetic. I need to sort myself out!

Sjanish33 · 04/01/2020 21:22

@username...I weigh early morning about 8am in my underwear :) I have gone on.the scales in the evening and there's about a pound in the difference. I think it's just to weigh at the same time so you know how much you lost more accurately :)

Usernamesarenotmyforte · 04/01/2020 21:36

Trewser that made me giggle. Right, I will go again in the morning then.
