Oohhh lots of us very similar in height/ weight and loss wishes. We can surely motivate each other.
I’m still starving

RME578 · 02/01/2020 22:02

Can I join too please? I'm 5'3" and 13 10....my heaviest ever! I've started Exante today just to help get things moving ...if I can shift some weight in a few weeks, I'll move onto MFP and regular food. Good luck everyone!

Sjanish33 · 02/01/2020 22:16

@oksunny MFP is My Fitness Pal. (I hope :))
Isn't it strange many of us have a similar goal?
Best of luck everyone

Screamqueenz · 02/01/2020 22:18

I’m 5ft 2 and 13 stones too...

41 and two young kids and absolutely zero willpower/motivation.

Just polished off half a box of Roses.

I hate the size I am yet can’t seem to find the will to make a change.

Sadie789 · 02/01/2020 22:27

@RME578 what is exante?

Michellebops · 02/01/2020 22:30

Hi can I join?
I'm 3 stone heavier than I'd like to be.
I aim to rejoin SlimmingWorld on Saturday.

I'm maybe not 💯 in right headspace as currently going through a chemical pregnancy/early miscarriage.

But hoping that by losing some weight will help for a future pregnancy

Mammawilson · 02/01/2020 22:46

I want to join. Im 5"4, 13 stone and need to lose 3 stone,i have an underactive thyroid, i have a big holiday in august so dont want to look like a blob but mainly because i gave up smoking in the last few years to improve my health and instead became borderline obese.
Im going to do 16/8 and calorie control with mfp but the biggese change is im going to exercise alot more this time

CaptainCaveMum · 02/01/2020 22:58

Hi everyone

Me too. Really need some buddies for this.
14 st 11, 5 ft 8 inches
So I need to lose over 3 stone.
I’ve done weightwatchers before really successfully but that was 10 years ago. Starting on Monday when the kids are back at school.

ForestYeti · 02/01/2020 23:18

Yes I’m 5ft 2 and 12st 7 wanting to lose 3 stone, I’ve dropped from 13st 7 since August & got to 11st 13 but fell off the food wagon start of December.

weehoo · 02/01/2020 23:53

I'd love to join in!

I'm 5'5" and currently weight around 13st3 (or 84.4kg)

Weight has piled on in last two years due to life threatening illness, children/sleep deprivation and now a sedentary job with a long commute in the car.

I would like to bin off around 20kg, develop good eating habits again and get fit. My life depends on it - what better motivation, huh?

Am eating 2 meals a day, low carb and no sugar. Carb flu has hit already on day 1 and I've been feeling horrendous but it's all perfectly doable. It's a bit of a relief to stop overeating although my body is a bit shocked!

By the way, does anyone else use digital scales with a body fat thing? Mine is currently well over 40% according to the scales - anyone else around the 13st mark gone this high??

RubySlippers77 · 02/01/2020 23:58

@weehoo I think mine is 42% Sad

I'm in a similar position to many PP - early 40s, small DC, weight has crept on and now won't shift! I'm 5' 5" and around 14st but am yet to face the post Christmas scales horror

I was always pretty slim before having the DC but think I mainly managed it by doing loads of exercise. Now I have small DC and am a SAHM with an unsupportive DP I just can't do anything similar.

Will rejoin SW soon and get back to cooking from scratch and being more organised. We have a family wedding in 4 months and I would love to have dropped a dress size by then!

RME578 · 03/01/2020 00:10

@Sadie789 Exante is a meal replacement plan, similar to Cambridge I think....so basically bars and shakes. Ideally I wouldn't rely on this but I'm useless at staying on track so I hope if I just follow as instructed I'll loose lbs.

Doubleyouexwhyandzed · 03/01/2020 06:45

Me too! Started yesterday. I’m doing fast 800, two slim and save vlcd shakes bfast and lunch and then a 500 dinner.
Similar starting and goal, 5ft 3 and 13st 4.
I’m always on and off diets so I really need to commit. Feel like a whale!

Soulstirring · 03/01/2020 06:56

Count me in! 5’4 and 12st 9. Heaviest ever and aiming for 11st but would love to be 10st!

Woohoomoo · 03/01/2020 07:13

Can I join? I'm 5'5" and, with usual Christmas gain, back up to 12st 4lbs. So annoyed with myself as I piled on the lbs with my two pregnancies (kids now 8 & 5) and18 months ago got back down to 10st 8lbs, within touching distance of my 10st goal. Then gradually have gained half of what I lost!
So started yesterday and determined to lose 30lbs by summer. Going to do 16/8, mfp and lots of walking. Let's do this!

TwistinMyMelon · 03/01/2020 07:14

I need to lose about 3 stone too. Just under 13st here and 5'6"

TwistinMyMelon · 03/01/2020 07:15

I am quitting booze for 2020. I really think that is my biggest downfall.

Loveislandaddict · 03/01/2020 07:23

Yes, love to loose 3 stone. I’ve joined slimming world. Tried to go it alone before, or use an online app, but haven’t really succeeded. Silly really, I know the theory, know what or what not to eat but still struggle.

Iamtooknackeredtorun · 03/01/2020 07:33

Count me in. I’m more likely to start in earnest next week when the children go back to school but doing bits and pieces to ease me in (cutting the booze out for example).

Ideally I would like to lose 3 stone. I had some minor success with IF last summer and I enjoyed it. It was just very straightforward because I just wasn’t allowed to eat anything between certain hours. What I need to do is concentrate on making the food I do eat in the permitted hours healthier and less calorific. I also need to exercise regularly and that’s more difficult to fit in.

Rookie93 · 03/01/2020 07:37

Can I come on board too? 5foot and 13stone - have joined a walking group starting next week to up my exercise levels and aim to do a VLCD. Would love to hit 10stone but realistically 11stone would be fabulous

DivisionBelles · 03/01/2020 07:39

Me. 5ft 3 and fat. Not sure exactly how fat, but prob about 13.7. Need to be back to 10 stone something by October when we're going on holiday. Don't want to be fat and hot like I was last year. Starting on Monday and will use the Nutricheck app to calorie count.

DottyDotAgain · 03/01/2020 07:39

Yep me. Perimenopausal here and have managed to put on over two stone in the last year. Am 17 stone something and would be very happy to be a size 16, 14 stone something!

I start a new job next week so am gutted I'm having to buy new work clothes in a bigger size. Again...

I'm thinking about doing couch to 5K (also again!). Just need to be brave enough to get out there for the first time... I ended up being able to run 10K, but this was several years ago and I stopped running on the day I did the 10K, it was so hard!

So, I'm in - time for a change... Smile

Mallowmarshmallow · 03/01/2020 07:46

Me please!

I got down to under ten stone for the first time in my adult life three years ago and felt bloody amazing.

I've the last two years it's gone slowly but steadily back on. I weighed about 11.10 last summer and felt totally shit on our summer holiday and am now pretty much 13 stone.

I'm out of breath, can't cross my legs, my tummy is massive and I feel totally rubbish.

I joined the gym about three months ago, exercised consistently up until christmas but realise it's mainly about diet for me. I ventured back to the gym last night and it was really hard work but I'm determined to go. I'm also doing veganuary which I'm hoping will give me a kick start my avoiding junk food for the month....
