Hi everyone

I have a lot of weight to lose and really really struggling. Have been on so many diets I have lost count and never seem to be able to stick to anything. I have realised that today it is exactly 8 weeks until I go on holiday and I had really wanted to lose weight and feel better about myself before then and suddenly it's coming round so quickly so I'm hoping that will help motivate me. Is anyone else interested in challenging themselves to lose as much as they can in that time??

Yes please. I have just worked out that it is eight weeks until my birthday.

Will start tomorrow though for sure, got too much on today that is food related that I can't get out of. Excuses excuses!

I will weigh myself in the morning and post.

I have a lot to lose!

I have a healthy shop to being delivered tonight ready for me to get started in the morning. Planning to loosely do WW so I can keep track of what I am eating, but if I call it a diet I start focussing on food too much and end up cheating!

Count me in! I'm so unhappy with the way I look. Doesn't help that I work in an opticians and there are bloody mirrors everywhere! Not on hols until the end of August but this is the kickstart I need. I could lose a stone in the next 8 weeks and that would feel amazing!

Yes please I'll join, I have 4 stone to lose in total, and need a massive kick up the arse. I keep starting a healthy diet , I do well for a few days then it all goes to pot!!

It's also eight weeks until my holiday so need to get this stone back off. I'll still be overweight but at least I feel better.

Hi everyone!

I'm also not starting properly today because I need to go food shopping and then I'm out most of the day - I will probably still have Sundays as my weigh in day because that makes it exactly 8 weeks to my holiday. I'm currently 13 stone 6.5lbs :( so annoyed with myself for getting so big, even if I lose weight I'm never going to be what I would like to be in time for my holiday, I'm gutted.

I'll join! I have a couple of stone to lose, obviously not planning on losing they got 8 weeks! Honestly, I'm happy at losing a pound a week and keeping it off! Since last August I have lost around 20 pounds and I currently weigh 12 stone 1 pound, but I'm only 5 foot 4, so I'm overweight. Seem to be stuck at 12 stone mark.
Did do my first park run yesterday, 5k, it exhausted me ! But the people were great and I plan on going again Smile

Ooh me me!! I've got 2 stone to lose in total (perhaps not in 8 weeks though) I've been on a diet/lifestyle change a week and I'm feeling better for it but I need to pull my finger out.

I've got a family wedding at the beginning of July and I'd like to be able to have a nice dress and feel good in it.

I was 11,6 as of last Sunday but I've no scales so have no idea what I am now. I'm 5,2 so my. BMI is up there in the gods at 30.

What's everyone doing diet wise? I'm chopping and changing GI Diet and sort of low carbing. I'm fortunate my dh is a gym fiend and personal trainer so can do some training with me at home but I lost the will to exercise when I got pregnant three years ago and just let myself go. Then my sister (also gym fiend) said she'd take me, so I'm going with her tomorrow!

Yes me!

I lost almost 5 stone but a stone has crept back on.
I'm starting fresh tomorrow, I'll weigh in the morning and post then.

Meals planned for tomorrow are

Scrambled egg whites with spinach

Homemade vegetable soup and crackers

Chicken salad

I'm planning on low carbs and to reduce snacking. Also plan to start exercising again. Will officially weigh in tomorrow.

I'm in. Have 2 to 3 stone to lose. Totally fed off and annoyed have myself in a awful rut the last 6 months. Start off good and after a week I binge. Have had enough. Starting tomorrow

I’ve got around a stone and a half to lose which doesn’t sound a lot but I’m small in height so every lb is noticeable. I started a new job a couple of months ago, went from very physical job to desk job and I am getting heavier each week so need to get my ass in gear and start exercising.

I got quite heavy a couple of years ago and lost it all by just cutting out snacks and eating three sensible meals so I think initially I’ll try that but if I struggle too much then I’ll switch to good old calorie counting.

I’m feeling so down with the way I look at the moment and just want to feel comfortable in my clothes again, hopefully we can spur each other on to do well.

Morning - early start for me for work. Weighed in at 174. 25lbs. Haven't been that heavy since my last pregnancy 4 years ago. Ugghhhh downwards from here, have a great day everyone 👍

Morning! I'm not up yet, got my toddler in bed with me watching Monsters Inc and I'm about to go brew up. Feeling less bloated today which is a nice change thinking ill have some granola and yoghurt for breakfast.

I'd like to join! I lost a stone last summer through lots of salad and exercise. I've kept it off but still have 2 stone left to drop. I'm 12st 8lbs. I'm back into salads for lunch but evenings are always where I fall off the wagon Sad

I'll join! I managed to put on almost 2st since Nov Shock I don't even really know how, just lots of stress eating.

But, I want to lose it again by summer (so much easier to put it on than take it off, ugh!). My biggest issues are snacks so I'm going to be concentrating on smallish, healthy breakfasts and lunchs and then healthy, low-carbish tea and no snacking. I don't think is really a 'method', but we'll see if it works...

Room I'm the same with evenings, they're my weakest point.

Can I join? Have been lost a fair bit of weight since having my DS but come to a weight loss plateau and found encouragement from fellow net mums helped last time . I only have a stone to go but this last stone seems the hardest and I don’t want it to start creeping up. I find good old calorie counting works best and I’ve just started the gym. Also going on holiday 8 weeks today so would be so happy if I could busy this final stone by then! Grin

Yes.
I'd like to lose 17lbs in 8 weeks.
I've managed quite a bit so far but i need to shift this last bit.
I find eating little and often and low carbs works for me.

I had half a tin of soup and a wholemeal pitta for dinner, then an apple. Drinking water with half a lemon in.

Im finding I'm sleeping better since cutting out the refined sugars and stuff. Might be psychosomatic but I definitely feel better in myself.

How old is your DS Orange? Eating between meals and evening snacking is a downfall of mine too Frosk and Room I could easily get through a box of malteasers by myself and then crisps and stuff too.

I've bought a bag of Murray mints so when I have a really weak moment I can allow myself one of those and hopefully by the time I've finished it, I'll be past the weak spot, and my mouth will be minty so I won't want anything. Either that or clean my teeth, but I'll need shares in colgate Grin

Aiming for 9stone 9

Had scrambled egg whites and spinach for breakfast

Snack of grapes and raspberries

Soup and crackers for lunch with a pear

Snack of banana

Heading to the gym then chicken salad for dinner
