Hi everyone

I have a lot of weight to lose and really really struggling. Have been on so many diets I have lost count and never seem to be able to stick to anything. I have realised that today it is exactly 8 weeks until I go on holiday and I had really wanted to lose weight and feel better about myself before then and suddenly it's coming round so quickly so I'm hoping that will help motivate me. Is anyone else interested in challenging themselves to lose as much as they can in that time??

xx

Of course.

StripeyChina · 29/03/2019 13:34

Thank you! .xxx

xamyrose · 29/03/2019 13:37

Can I also be added. Was 9.13 to begin with.

Tanaqui · 29/03/2019 15:49

Aubergine bake sounds lovely, can you recommend a recipe? I accidentally ate all the carbs last night, but onwards and downwards! It does help when the sun is shining.

PhillipeFellope · 29/03/2019 16:56

I had a tomato, ham and hummus sandwich today for lunch, strawberry, pomegranate and Greek yoghurt for breakfast. Will have chicken breast with salad for tea. I already feel so much better and its showing in my skin, just not in my body. I've bought some dates and a granola bar as a treat for one evening this weekend. Just wish the weight was coming off a bit quicker.

How's everyone doing?

twopintsprick · 29/03/2019 18:38

today breakfast was half a piece of toast with Nutella (leftover by the 4 year old)....regretted it as soon as I shoved it in 😳
Lunch was a wholemeal seeded roll with salad
Snack was crisps with some hummous
Dinner was soup with another roll
Couple of mini chocolate eggs this afternoon

All in all within my calorie allowance but shit food ... not helped by doing my weekly supermarket shop whilst really hungry 🤦‍♀️

Frosk · 29/03/2019 18:47

Can I be added to the spreadsheet please? I was 96.1kg on mon.. my aim for the next 8 (7.5..) wks is probably 88kgs, a kg a wk seems doable.

Today I’ve been pretty good although did have a bun for pudding after tea with the kids. Exercise has not been going well, I love HIIT workouts on YouTube but I’ve not had time recently. Will make an effort for the weekend.

bodgersmash · 29/03/2019 19:55

@Tanaqui I'm sorry, I cheated! This was mine, I cooked it and split it between two meals, bulked out with loads and loads of salad.

Everyone is doing so well Star I’ve had 24 days of no chocolate, sweets or cake. I know this must be improving my health but still haven’t lost an ounce

bodgersmash · 29/03/2019 23:25

@3littlerabbits well done! Have the cravings for sweet things subsided?

That's annoying that the scales aren't moving - are you using My Fitness Pal or any other tracker to see if you're getting a calorie deficit?

Time40 · 30/03/2019 01:38

I know the feeling, 3littlerabbits. Last time I tried to lose weight (last year) it was exactly like that. Chin up, and let's do this eight weeks, and try to find something that will make a difference.

Today I went for my usual run around the edge of the common, but instead of going around twice, I went around three times. I also went out for a late-night walk. I'm convinced the late-night walks help, and I haven't been doing them so often recently.

Tanaqui · 30/03/2019 06:54

Thank you Bodger- I really miss m and s! (Am working abroad). Not a great day yesterday as long journey and ended up having 5 meals! Am doing well at hardly any sugary stuff, but very badly with nuts/ cheese/ crackers! Still that is probably good fo me as used to be a cake and biscuit fiend! Will be off plan today as going out, but will try and treat it as an exception and get back on things tomorrow.

3littlerabbits · 30/03/2019 08:11

@bodgersmash my brain is still demanding biscuits after dinner and with tea, but the constant urge to go to the cupboard is gone (hopefully it stays gone!). I’m not tracking calories and I guess I should be. Also more exercise needed!

@tanaqui yay for that extra lap!

Oysterbabe · 30/03/2019 08:26

My little ratbags excelled themselves in keeping us awake all night. I need to try not to faceplant into a vat of sugar today.

dancemom · 30/03/2019 08:43

Weighed in today at 10 stone 7.5 lbs so lost 2.5 lbs this week! Yippee!

Going out for lunch tomorrow which is why I weighed in a day early

Krman · 30/03/2019 11:04

Can I also be added to the list please? I started on the 26th and weighed in at 70.4kg :(

My eating isn't too awful... but it isn't great either! I went out with the girls from work yesterday for a friends leaving do, has a pint, dinner and desert and went so over my calories! I've only been over my goal calories one other day (and not by too many) but I really struggle to motivate myself to exercise. Does anyone else have this problem and have any tips on how to get active?

Thanks lovelies! You're all doing so well!

Gemi33 · 30/03/2019 16:24

You are all doing so well and I am a complete failure and you have all put me to shame! I have had a stressful week due to thinks going on at home and work and basically have eaten everything in sight...:( :( I'm pretty sure I've put on weight....well done to you all, I'm rubbish!

@Gemi33 sorry to hear you've had a bad week. We're all here to support you - you might have had a bad first week, we might have a bad second, third, or fourth etc. week! We're all here to support you and each other.

Maybe do a meal plan for tomorrow and try to start from there?

PhillipeFellope · 30/03/2019 17:47

I'm sorry you've had a bad week gemi stress makes me eat everything too. Tomorrow is a new day, fresh start!

3littlerabbits that's amazing to do 24 days with no cake etc! Well done. Do you have a fit bit or anything? Might be helpful to track like bodger said

I have eaten anything yet today, combination of poorly ds, contemplating murdering dh and having too much to plan and prepare. Intending on having a chicken salad later.

Gemi33 · 30/03/2019 18:24

That's really kind, thank you! I am planning my meals for tomorrow as we speak but feeling so down that it is now only 7 weeks until my holiday and look awful...xx

Gemi33

You can do this. Tomorrow is a whole new day. 🌻

bodgersmash · 30/03/2019 20:23

Posting on here to stay accountable.

Breakfast: mushroom, eggs, thin bagel, tomato

Lunch: chicken slices x 3 with spinach and soft cheese

Dinner - dodged a bullet! Ended up out for dinner with DP, was about to fall off the wagon but we had a row and left before our food or drink arrived 🙈 so I'm now home and eating a salad with spinach, tuna, roasted red peppers, tomato and feta cheese.

veeboo · 30/03/2019 20:46

Please can I join? I'm currently 13st. Want to get to 12st in 8 weeks for a hen do.

cherrysky · 31/03/2019 07:50

Veeboo welcome to fat club.

cherrysky · 31/03/2019 07:54

Gemi33

Good luck starting today. You can achieve loads in seven weeks. Just be brave, get on the scales and take it from there.

Keep posting, you can do this.
