Anyone in?

Im doing dry jan which will help, better meal planning, and upping the water intake. No official "plan" in mind yet but will look to choosing one soon.

Im weighing in Jan1st, currently just shy of 14stone. I need to hit 9 1/2 to hit a healthy BMI.

Sign me up. I have about 3 stone to lose.

JustOneMoreCoffee · 20/12/2018 23:44

Ooh me too! No idea what my current weight is but it's creeping up fast. Dry January is a good idea, I drink coffee or wine so trying to increase my water intake will really help me feel better. Will weigh in and check in on the 1st too. Thanks for the thread

Yes! I'm on week 4 of ww and sts this week due to Christmas events and might rally tracking. But I've committed to 4 months of membership so have every intention of limiting damage over the week of Christmas with a few indulgences but then back on it in Jan. 7.5lb down so far.

Hotpinkangel19 · 20/12/2018 23:57

Me too, I really need to lose some weight!

TulipsInbloom1 · 20/12/2018 23:59

Has anyone got anything in the calendar in 2019 to aim for? We will be taking the dc abroad for the first time, so I want to feel confident walking around in a swimsuit. Additionally my dsis looks to be heading towards an engagement, so whilst a wedding wouldnt be 2019 I need to look good ready.

WildFlower2018 · 21/12/2018 00:30

I'll join. I'm 12st 9lbs currently.

I'd like to lose around 2 stone 🙂

whenwillthetwitchstrike · 21/12/2018 00:38

Me too ... again. Starting this Christmas with the weight I gained last Christmas still firmly attached to me.

Sweetpea15 · 21/12/2018 00:48

I really need this! I need a serious kick up the arse weight wise.

madcatladyforever · 21/12/2018 00:55

I;ve been fat for 30 years and I have a gastric band (private) booked for January. I've had enough of feeling uncomfortable. I want to enjoy my life amd am sick of spending the summer covered up.
The only draw back is xmas is cancelled as I have to be on a liquid only diet pre surgery to shrink my liver but I guess that;s a small price to pay.

TulipsInbloom1 · 21/12/2018 08:51

I know ive not technically started yet but I had an apple for breakfast. Why arent I skinny yet?

This thread title grabbed my attention, because it was this week of last year that I made the decision to "Become Healthy in 2018".

Since then I have gone from 17st 8.5 (BMI 42) on 1st Jan to 9st 8.5 (BMI 21) today - reaching healthy BMI by the end of September. I have gone from being out of breath walking 2km to running a half marathon, twice (via Couch to 5k).

My husband has lost 6 stone in that time. My four children (aged 4-14) are happy with our healthy diet - we all eat the same meals.

None of this has cost me anything. I've not bought into any commercial diet or had to pay to exercise. We just have healthy meals made from scratch, no processed carbs, no saturated fat. Just proper food, low calorie, and plenty of exercise.

This time next year, when you see a post like this for 2020, you'll have a similar positive story to tell. You CAN do this!

PrivateCello · 21/12/2018 09:16

Yes me too! I really need to lose 3 stones.

WhenCanISleepAgain · 21/12/2018 11:03

I’d like to join you. I have lost 6lbs in the last month and have 3 stone still to lose to reach a healthy BMI (so from 14st12 to 11st12) . I have just completed the Couch to 5K running programme which has given me a boost and I aim to keep running through 2019. I have a ten month old. Good to see you on this thread FATE and thank you for your inspiration!

MrsAndrewEldritch · 21/12/2018 11:09

Me please.

I have rejoined the gym and got meal plans ready to start boxing day.

Want to drop 2 stone.

cabininthewoods2016 · 21/12/2018 21:21

Me too.

Trying to find fitness classes to start and going to join a yoga class.

Fancy starting running but not sure how to begin. Also have asthma and get out of breath walking sometimes.

SavageBeauty73 · 21/12/2018 21:24

Me too! I need to lose 2 stone.

dementedma · 21/12/2018 21:24

destiny that's amazing.
Count me in . need to lose two stone and it will be easier if others are doing it too

mycatplotsdeath · 21/12/2018 21:29

Me please.
The menopause has turned me into a barrel.
I need to shift 3stone.
I plan on strict calorie counting and upping my activity levels.

Joinourclub · 21/12/2018 21:32

YES! I want to lose a stone. I turn 40 at the end of the year and want to be 40 and fit and happy with my body.

Plan: no snacking, no pudding, portion control, do some exercise

W0rriedMum · 21/12/2018 21:33

Sign me up! I've got 2.5 stones to lose, and don't want to do it in a faddy way.

@FATEdestiny - well done! Your story is an inspiration.

falgelednl · 21/12/2018 21:39

Can I join in? I don’t know what I weigh but my clothes are all too tight and I just feel all fat and lumpy. I don’t really drink but am hoping meal planning, more water and more movement will help shift the excess stones.

puppydogmummy · 22/12/2018 08:15

Hello! Can I join? About five stone to lose.... will be a long ould slog but need to as next summer I turn 50!

Zazu44 · 22/12/2018 20:00

Mycatplotsdeath me too!! The menopause has changed my shape completely. I'm starting SW and C25K

Tinkhasflown · 22/12/2018 20:09

I'm in. I had lost 2 stone last year with we, but 1 stone of that had crept back on over the last year. I need to get more active too. I find my daily 5km walk isn't helping with the weight loss so maybe running would be better. Would like to try couch to 5k.
