Anyone in?

Im doing dry jan which will help, better meal planning, and upping the water intake. No official "plan" in mind yet but will look to choosing one soon.

Im weighing in Jan1st, currently just shy of 14stone. I need to hit 9 1/2 to hit a healthy BMI.

Weigh in is Friday for me (it is treat day at work Friday so I weigh before it. I feel like I have had 3 wins today:

  1. have lost 4lbs this week so am now at 13st 12.
  2. I didn't really fancy the breakfast butties and had orange instead for breakfast (v v tough to do)
  3. I'm starting to break through the lack of sugar migraines. Today I felt human for almost half on the day.

B- 2satsumas
D- falafal wrap with plenty of crunch
T- sweet and sour chicken made in slow cooker
S- small slice of lemon cake
Rice cake with tsp Nutella

It’s definitely harder losing weight over 40. I’d have lost at least 3lbs by now before.

LittleDoritt shish kebab is ideal diet food! Grilled chicken on salad. Ditch the pita. Chilli saice and garlic (if low carbing).

I’m going to end th8s threadwith good news - the scales were 12:4 this morning! I’ve lost 2 lbs in 2 weeks which feels right. Hurrah.

Thursday weigh in day and it's not til 5.30! I always feel like I don't eat properly on weigh in day 😂 not confident for a big loss this week but if I get 3lbs I'll have my half a stone award. But we will see!

am losing at a measly 1lb a week rate. tyring hard and sticking to no alcohol, low carbs and no snacks, plus doing more exercise so a bit disappointed. Am 55 and need to lose well over a stone and a half.

Demented ma a 1lb a week is fine... it's steady progress and water you will have done a stone. IMO losing weight steadily means it's less likely to come back on.

I am v similar to you. 53.. need to lose a stone and a half and likewise I am doing it with portion control, cutting out white carbs, and exercising more. Have done 5 lbs so far in jan but expect to see it tail off now
