I. Ate. Breakfast!!!!!!

Ok...so it was only two tangerines...but...BREAKFAST!!!

I'm waiting until dinner tonight. Yesterday it was "Food, food, food" all day, because of my work project...put me right off! I finish at 1 today, so hopefully I'll be hungry at about 7pm.

Making a huge pot of chilli tonight.

hendricksy · 11/01/2019 09:15

I've lost half a stone since Nye .. I think Veganuary has helped although I was vege before anyways ...
I'm logging my cals on MFP and am doing a few 800 cal days mixed in with sticking below my BMR.
I'm been trying lose weight on and off all my life but this is new to me so we will see !

SusanWalker · 11/01/2019 09:38

I'm doing ok this week. I can't exercise as my cold has messed up my chest and my asthma is not good atm. But I am eating ok so will hopefully have a loss on Tuesday. Not as good a one as all you dedicated ladies, well done everyone, but that's ok.

Today I am eating:

Breakfast: weight watchers malted Danish toast with 1/3 can baked beans.

Lunch: chicken salad

Dinner: chicken, new potatoes and vegetables.

NewFitMe · 11/01/2019 10:05

Well done everyone!

You’ll never guess what happened last night. So I was craving ice cream, chocolate, crisps and all so bad last night. Literally could’ve killed for them. And I needed to go to the shop to get some breakfast stuff. I was debating whether my partner should go so I don’t buy anything but I wanted to get my steps and walk 😁 so I went to the shop and was thinking of buying a little chocolate bar but instead I bought some nice 70% dark chocolate and didn’t even eat any!! It’s in the cupboard now and I still don’t want any. I’m so glad I sticked to my plan last night. I’m on 16:8 so I would’ve ruined my fast. I really want to see results on the scale soon. It’s so annoying not to see it go down when I have plenty to lose.

LittleDoritt · 11/01/2019 10:30

Food today for me is:
B - 40g porridge made with water, lots of berries
L - lentil soup
D - chicken casserole
No snacking.

PinkHeart5914 · 11/01/2019 11:05

Morning all

Food for today;
B- 2 crumpets with peanut butter, black coffee
L- will be left over chorizo and lentil stew from last night. 1 chocolate digestive, yes I will have just 1!
D- will be home made veg quiche with salad
I am having a glass of fizz tonight with dh as it’s the weekend

Hope you all have a good food day

TulipsInbloom1 · 11/01/2019 11:09

Banana mid morning, leftover risotto for lunch. Dinner tonight will be chicken breasts in some sort of spices rub, with potato wedges and broccoli.

Chilli is going in the slow cooker tomorrow and I will be having it on a bed of greens but as it will be Saturday I will have lots of cheese on top and tortilla chips. Not having a beer on th3 side will be hard.

Good willpower there NewFitMe, keep going, you will soon see a whoosh and a loss on the scale. Are you taking measurements? I find that these are more accurate than the scale for me personally.

Tulip you can get the alcohol free beer as a treat if you fancy them that is.

I am so tempted to get rice and tofu curry from Wasabi for lunch.

StealthNinjaMum · 11/01/2019 13:05

Ooh what lovely food suggestions, I might do a meal plan next week with some of those.

Back to today, I decided I need more veg and home cooked food and water. So I went shopping and bought loads of veg and also fresh ginger, coriander, chillis and lemons. I love that combination of flavours, there's something about lemon and ginger that is so cleansing. So tonight I'm going to have a prawn soup with either fish or tofu pieces (I knew we have both in the freezer but don't know if I can just add the fish in). Then I am going to chop up lots of veg, and make a dressing to put in a Tupperware tub, so I can just prepare salads to go with eggs or jacket potatoes effortlessly. I need to be super organised.

AFridgeTooFar · 11/01/2019 16:17

Well I can "calorie afford" a glass of wine tonight (red medium sized is less than 4g of carbs if it's any use to anyone). And I'm bloody well going to haveseveral one! 🤣

LittleDoritt · 11/01/2019 16:23

I could murder a Friday night shish kebab.

Fiontar649 · 11/01/2019 16:52

We're going to need a new thread soon! We are a chatty bunch

@TulipsInbloom1 do you want to start one so it stays as your thread?

TulipsInbloom1 · 11/01/2019 18:38

Oh gosh yes we are. I'll try and think of a snappy name

"Part two" 😂

FATEdestiny · 11/01/2019 18:41

3lb off for me this week. Still work-in-progress to lose my Christmas gain, but heading in the right direction and I'm happy.

9km run this morning. I'm doing RED (Run Every Day) January with a 300km goal for the month. I normally run every day so that isn't a challenge. But keeping a daily average distance above 10km every day is hard work. So I've added in breakfast every day when I usually only have breakfast on rare occasions.

Today's food diary:

B - 40g jumbo oats, 200ml semi skimmed, cinnamon cooked on stove top and topped with a chopped apple

L - 1/2 can of butterbeans blitzed with a dsp almond paste to make hummus, 2 peppers, sliced and 3 celery stalks, halved

D - Stove top chicken soup. Stock made from the bones of yesterdays carcass, what was left of the roast chicken, carrots, celery, parsnip, can of chickpeas. Massive portion.

2 litres of squash and far (far, far) too much coffee! I really need to deal with my caffeine habit.

Dinner tonight is homemade wedges with paprika salt and pepper, steamed greens, and one of those Magi Bags done with chicken breasts. May have a dollop of light mayo for dunking.

Well done Fate 3lbs isn’t bad at all Star

Stealth Ginger & lemon is a lovely flavour with fish. I wrap salmon fillets in foil with ginger and lemon , makes a lovely meal with greens and potatoes. Also cod topped with pesto.

I done 20km on the execise bike today. Dh is him home now, dc all asleep so I am enjoying a glass of fizz at 86 calories I might have 2!

StealthNinjaMum · 11/01/2019 18:53

Ooh pinkheart thanks for that. I will try it next week.

Made a lovely soup and feel like I've cracked this diet business. There is even enough for tomorrow.

Fiontar649 · 11/01/2019 19:06

Will we fill this up, so we don't get lost between 2 threads?

Great title Tulips 💩

HermioneWeasley · 11/01/2019 19:26

I have been doing this for nearly two weeks, been really good and I have lost NOTHING. Gah!

PinkHeart5914 · 11/01/2019 19:28

Stealth What soup did you go for in the end, fish or tofu? Soup is a good shout when being healthy or dieting as generally is low cal and I think the water in the soup helps you feel full up.

PinkHeart5914 · 11/01/2019 19:30

Oh Hermione That is a shame but keep going it will come of eventually. What kind of things have you been eating? And have you been using a dairy or my fitness pal to keep check on calories etc?

certainlymerry · 11/01/2019 19:32

I'm afraid I've fallen off the wagon completely since Monday. I really need to get back on it! Hermione - it's great you aren't giving up, well done!

StealthNinjaMum · 11/01/2019 19:37

pinkheart neither, I remembered we had chicken in the fridge so deccided to use that. In the freezer I have a few packs of white fish fillets so I will check if they need to defrost and maybe do a fish soup at the weekend or on Monday. I like home made soup so much more than shop bought soup.
