Woohoo - I have been feeling way more motivated the last two days and have also signed up to Noom for the kick up the ass I need now. I have family staying over this weekend and tomorrow is DDs birthday so my aim for the weekend is to stay under my calorie goal and get the 10k steps in no matter what! I will be happy if on a Monday I haven’t gained any weight and then from
Way week it’s going to be kicked off.
I have put up a picture of myself in my goal weight on the fridge to remind me.

Checking in!

I weighed in at 11 stone 1 this morning. Better than the 11 3 I got on Thursday but still in the wrong stone bracket. First mission this month is to get to my previous target of 10 10.

Also now I've got the green light to start running again I need to plan my exercise carefully so my Achilles doesn't flare up again.

So targets for this month:

Get back to 10 stone 10
Get up to running 5/6 miles twice a week.

Good luck everyone and thanks for the thread pony Flowers

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 01/09/2018 12:09

Thanks for making the new thread Pony!

I’m feeling very motivated! I love this time of year, it makes me want to get myself organised. I’ve done my meal plan for the week and logged it all on MFP, and I’m all set to start BBG on Monday 💪🏼💪🏼

My goal for September is get back below 9 stone, and to focus on taking the time to eat well and exercise (and not just on the days I’m not working).

ponygirlcurtis · 01/09/2018 12:12

Yaaaay for Slendertember motivation! I start the month down on last month and have as of today got back down to my main target of 10st 10lbs - I have actually gone a little below it but I doubt that will stick over the weekend so we'll see what Monday brings - I tend to be up on a Monday-Wednesday then it goes back down. famous last words
My plan is just keep plugging away with BSD during the week, maybe throw in the odd fast day here and there if I can.

bloopity you sound determined! What's Noom, is it an online thing?

Koko that sounds a really sensible and doable plan.

Kick that's good you are well enough to run again, Achilles injuries are rotten (I am paranoid about mine as my dad has snapped each of his at different times).

Moominfan · 01/09/2018 12:15

I'm in. Not got off to a the best start went to a food festival earlier and ate a lot but have rest of day to make some good choices. Would like to lose 7lbs over September hoping to do it quickly :)

LostMyBaubles · 01/09/2018 12:22

Hi all.
I want to pop in, read some tips and take it slowly.

Had a baby nearly 2 weeks ago. I feel ok enough to stop eating crap, empty calories and to start to eat healthily.

I put on around 7kg during pregnancy most of which was baby, waters and placenta.

Im trying to kill off old habits from pre pregnancy (used to have half pack of biscuits with a brew, lots of choc, coke etc)
Ive cut down to 2-3 biscuits with brew for breakfast which will prob switch to toast once im up for it.

I dont want to start 'crash dieting' as im breastfeeding but want to slowly lose some weight as im very over weight atm.

Will start walking with baby once I can physically do it

ponygirlcurtis · 01/09/2018 13:40

Hi Lost, congratulations on your baby. Focusing on healthy eating is a great idea - I found I didn't need to do much more than that while breastfeeding and my weight started to reduce. I wouldn't put too much pressure on yourself right now though, your baby is still teeny weeny and you will be shattered!

Thanks for new thread Ponygirl. I’m showing off a name change. Felt like time. Old name referred to an alcoholic drink made from apples!

Planning on losing 7 pounds in September. No drinking. None. And carrying on with my walking. And sticking to 1600 calories a day.

First mini goal is to get under 15 stone. I would have managed it by today if I hadn’t had wine and crisps the last two nights.

Congratulations Lost! As Ponygirl says don’t put too much pressure on yourself just yet. Healthy nutritious food will give you more energy so just concentrate on that initially.

I’ve seen ads for Noom on Pinterest but no idea what it is bloopity. Good luck with it anyway.

Nice to see everyone else. Here’s to a good month!

TVHubbyClaire · 01/09/2018 14:56

Thank you for new thread pony....slendertember it will be....

Started the month at a promising 11st 12 after no dinner last week...single figure lindas in the 11st bracket is my hope for a consistent weight.

Of course pub tomorrow wont help. Pret porridge for breakfast was good but I've just scoffed a pie at the football and doing M and S Chinese for DS and i tonight so staying in 11s is all i can hope for ahead of sunday weigh in.....

TVHubbyClaire · 01/09/2018 14:58

Ooops. ...no dinner last night not last week. Now that would be a challenge.

Talking of challenges i found a plank one which goes from 20sec to 5 mins by day 31...will see how that goesConfused

Fatted · 01/09/2018 14:59

Can I join in? Just rejoined slimming world last week and weighed in at 12st 6.5lbs 😵

Been a good week so far even though I went to maccies with the kids yesterday and going out for a meal tonight with DH. Had a mcnuggets happy meal within my syns and already working out what I can have tonight within syns.

Hoping for a good loss on Tuesday.

Elmashbu · 01/09/2018 15:39

Can I join in?

I have about 2 stone to lose that I put on during a really and pregnancy - my fault! But now it needs to go as I feel fat and ugly. ☹️

Starting in at 14lb 2. Goal is to get under 12 (but I won't do it in September I know)

Peridot1 · 01/09/2018 16:28

TVHubby - 20 secs to 5 mins sounds good. I need to go upstairs to do it or I’ll have two heavy labradors trying to help me!

Rach5ll · 01/09/2018 16:37

Has anyone got any good snack ideas? Homemade stuff?

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 01/09/2018 17:39

Congratulations Baubles, and welcome to all the other new faces!

Rach what sort of snack ideas are you after? Are you low carbing or just trying to cut calories? Personally my go-to is a boiled egg.

LostMyBaubles · 01/09/2018 18:41

Thank you all
Yup I don't want to tire myself out trying to reduce calories just want to swap to healthier food

Less sugary snacks
More healthy snacks prob to start with

Snack wise
Boiled eggs are fab
When they are still warm with a lil salt and pepper taste lovely.
A very well known pharmacist that has worked with athletes mentioned 3x eggs a day does something good. Cant remember what lol

H1dingInSight · 01/09/2018 18:43

Please may I join you?

50shadesofbeige · 01/09/2018 18:47

Hi all hope you don't mind if I join? Managed to lose 7lbs in August and now sitting at 10st 7lbs. Would love to break the bloody ten stone mark this month...

@lost congratulations on your baby Flowers

NewMeStartsHere · 01/09/2018 18:52

Can I join please? Currently at my heaviest weight - 11st 4lb. Clothes don't fit and I'm finally motivated.

Dieted for 2 days so far and don't feel any slimmer.... (wouldn't that be fantastic if it worked like that?!)

Have a gym membership that I only use for swimming which I've done 3-4 times a week since March. No weight loss but I think it's helped to tone.

Have taken a BRUTAL underwear only photo as motivation. I genuinely can't even look at it!

Previously lost 18lb on slimming world so doing a mix of that and calorie counting.

GettinTrimmer · 01/09/2018 19:15

Hi, I'd like to join too, not gettin much trimmer at the moment. I would like to lose 7lb in September - it will start with the 5lb I gained over the summer - lost 1lb this week, which is a start. I would like to lose 1.5 stone by Christmas. I have a pair of size 14 jeans I would like to wear on Christmas day.

Hi KickBishopBrennan I recognise you from the GCSE thread! The stress eating waiting for ds's exam results didn't help, all my own fault!

Lostmybaubles congratulations on the new baby....I remember keeping an emergency banana by my bedside after being woken up for night feeds. I was also hungry! I agree take this slowly.

Peridot I am also a walker, aim for 15,000 steps per day but it doesn't always happen as my job is sedentary. Do you have a Fitbit?

Fatted I also go to Slimming World, I don't stay to the meetings very often though, but I do like the diet and stick to it the best I can.

Newme that is very brave! Great idea though....

poorpaws · 01/09/2018 19:34

Oh goodness I hardly dare sneak my head around he door but I’m back and hoping for ANY loss this month.

KickBishopBrennanUpTheArse · 01/09/2018 19:41

@gettintrimmer great to see you here! Yes the anxious wait followed by lunch and dinner out celebrating hasn't been diet friendly. Also you might remember my dd is a stress baker! She made bread, cakes, brownies, pies and flapjack in the run up to results day.

This thread is great though. I lost just over a stone in the first 2 months after I joined. I maintained it for 6 months but 3 lb has crept back on over the summer. Not much but I need to nip it in the bud.

Congratulations @lostmybaubles on the new arrival. Wow! At 2 weeks in I was still living on take aways and crisps! Mind you it's probably time to shed the pregnancy weight now she's going into sixth form Blush

Welcome to the other new faces.

Iwishicouldfly456 · 01/09/2018 19:43

I'd like to jump on board. Have been following these threads for ever and you lot are a fantastic bunch!!
I'm not happy at all. 1.5 stone heavier than I was at April for a significant birthday when I felt fab. So annoyed with myself.
Anyway weighing in at 11.10. Going away for a girlie trip in 5 weeks would love 7lbs off by end of September.
