I'll join you. I'm back at my heaviest ever weight 11st7lbs despite having been on a walking holiday, walking 10-20km every day.
I'd LOVE to be back under 11stone by end of September. It would be the first time in years.

wtf2015 · 01/09/2018 19:50

me too please.. currently 10stone and desperately need to lose 1/2 a stone from around my waist before I end up with diabetes ...... diet not too bad, don't drink a lot and fairly active so not sure how to go about it. Any ideas would be amazing, thanks

GettinTrimmer · 01/09/2018 20:21

KickBishop your dd should go on Bake Off! I know what you mean we went out for a slap up curry on results evening also a few lunches. I was really successful a few years ago losing weight with support from an mn thread looking forward to being on this one.

wtf I too am an 'apple' shape, also open to suggestions. I am cutting down on bread
and I have an exercise dvd called Blast Off Belly Fat, trying that next. A few planks etc...

Gablexy · 01/09/2018 20:31

I’ve been hovering on the thread for a few months but would love to be more actively involved in Slendertember (genius) please! I’ve lost nearly 2.5 stone since May but seem to have reached a plateau; need some inspiration to get the last half stone off. Currently 9st 4.5lbs; aiming for 8st 12. Don’t think I’ve been there since my pre-teenage years!

50shadesofbeige · 01/09/2018 20:56

Anyone looking to get into doing some exercise I really recommend Lucy Wyndham-Read on YouTube she's got brilliant workouts that range from 4-20 mins and I've been doing a couple of the 7 minute ones a day and can notice a difference. She walks through the whol workout with you and I've found it really helpful and not demoralisingly difficult. She does ones specifically for apple shapes as well which might help you @gettin

ItWentInMyEye · 01/09/2018 21:06

I NEED to lose weight! Does anyone do HFLC?

ponygirlcurtis · 02/09/2018 08:14

Lovely to see lots of new people. 😊 Wow Gablexy that's an amazing loss since May, well done!

Itwent I eat Low carb, and I am currently doing BSD during the week.

A couple of people have asked about snacks - I like a Babybel, or even a stock cube in boiling water as a drink to fill you up. Key for me is planning - I try to plan out my meals and any snacks and put it in MFP so I know what I have to play with.

Good morning, I'm joining in too this month, the Ds's are back to school this week so I can concentrate on myself a bit more Smile

HappyGowerGirl · 02/09/2018 10:51

Hi all and welcome new people!
I’ve got pretty much the same starting weight this month compared to last (60.3kg which is about 9.6lb).

I hope to lose a lb or 2 this month, my main aims are: drink more water and less wine! And get back into my exercise routine. That’s all really! Small aims for me this month.

Good luck all!

Therealjudgejudy · 02/09/2018 13:22

Checking in for September. Thanks @pony for the new thread.

Gym done this morning. Meal plan sorted for the week. Today is just life admin to get sorted for the week ahead. September is the month of losses people!

GettinTrimmer · 02/09/2018 14:02

I have been inspired by some ideas on here Newme I have also braved the mirror and taken a full length photo.

50Shades thank you for the recommendation of Lucy Wyndham Read. Her 4 minute routine looks doable for me, planning on introducing myself to that and doing it first thing in the morning. I am trying to get into the habit of regular toning exercise and this looks good. How long did it take you to notice a difference with the 7 minute workout?

I have an idea of doing a big slow cooker tomato sauce for the week, then there's a base to a couple of meals, making life a bit easier! There's the challenge of feeding x2 hungry teenagers, dd is a gymnast ds works out in his room with weights and a punch bag, both of them always after snacks.

I have taken advantage of the massive amount of blackberries growing everywhere at the moment; I have made some blackberry gin for Christmas, heading out when I've done everything to pick some more! Planning on taking them to work tomorrow to have on top of my overnight oats for breakfast, enough blackberry gin on the go!

Enjoy Sunday everyone, my dd has an Inset day tomorrow, most of us probably organising things for first day back.

BeyondAnOmnishambles · 02/09/2018 14:14

Marking my place. Have had a really good few weeks, made a massive improvement to my fitness, yet somehow my weight (and measurements, so it's not just water or whatever) have remained the same?! So from tomorrow when the kids are back in school, I will be borderline obsessing Grin

50shadesofbeige · 02/09/2018 17:26

@gettin it took around a week. I was doing around three a day so 21 minutes or going for a walk instead. I think half the battle is being consistent so if you manage four mins every morning plus moving a bit more hopefully you'll see a change quite quickly Smile

MissingPanda · 02/09/2018 21:33

Back again. Fell off the last thread quite spectacularly. Got down to 11st 7.4lb then went back up to 11st 10lb then 11st 13.1lb which was my last WI Blush. I've decided to go back to basics. I'm concentrating on eating three meals a day with only fruit for snacks. It's what I did when I started losing weight last year and I'm hoping it will reset my eating habits. My birthday is at the end of the month and I have a few plans but hopefully I'll be able to do what I did last year when I went on holiday and get back on track quickly.

Welcome to all newbies.

Thanks for the new thread Pony

HappyGowerGirl · 03/09/2018 07:23

I’m up slightly this morning to 9.7 (60.6kg) but I had a scandalous weekend so I’m not surprised! Should be easier this week with the routine of work/school starting again.

Oh hello hello! Can I add on?

I’ve just weighed myself and I’m 10.1, really want to be 9st but I’ll be happy at 9.4.

I’ve had a two week holiday and these school holidays have seen me hit the booze/fast food and chocolate and I’ve put quite a bit more on than I expected 😭🙈

I’m going to cut booze right out and go back to a vegan/plant based diet with a bit of fish when I’m desperate ! No dairy as i balloon up with it. Makes my boobs go big 🙈

I have a important event at the end of this month so hopefully I’ll fit in to my nice dress!

Flyingsouthwiththeswallows · 03/09/2018 08:12

Could I join you please.

Weighed in at 150.8lb this morning and really want to lose a 17lb for health reasons.

Am kicking myself at the 1/2 stone I have put on this Summer and know that without effort I will now start carbing things up for the Autumn / Winter.

I love the idea of the brutal underwear photo Newme. Just copied it and OMG mine is grim.

HairsprayBabe · 03/09/2018 08:23

HELLO ALL!

Mumsnet ate my last post....

I am back! Sorry for continuing to go AWOL but now I am back and focused as I have a rather big event coming up next year so cannot let things slip...

Went to New York as planned last month, and got proposed to on the top of the Rockefeller Centre! And I said yes!

We are planning on getting hitched at the end of October next year so not too far away!

9.12 (so have gained 6lbs since Feb) as of this morning and I am hoping to lose a stone-ish by this time next year....

How does this diet thing work again guys I have totally forgotten!

ponygirlcurtis · 03/09/2018 08:37

Oh wow, congratulations Hairspray! Your job move has all worked out so happily, very pleased for you. Smile

I am up from yesterday, as predicted, always up on a Monday. But I am about to start my period too so not too worried.

Have a good day everyone.

Can I join? New user name to underline my enthusiasm.
Got a big event at the end of September and aim to lose half a stone by then!!
Heaviest this year is 11 stone 5 pounds and I'm currently 10 stone 9 (with a lot of to-ing and fro-ing inbetween!) . If, no I mean WHEN, I reach 10 stone 2, size 12s will fit me easily and I will be at the lower end of overweight. Good eating everyone :-)

Softpebbles · 03/09/2018 09:48

Wowsers Hairspray! That’s amazing. Congratulations. I have less than 6 months to be ready. Would like to lose another 4lbs.

Hello to all of the newbies. I need to make a more conscious effort to post. Have not been good lately!

Gym this morning. Just had porridge in Morrisons as I need to pick up a few bits and don't want chocolate/cake etc to find its way into my trolley.

Congratulations Hairspray will look forward to hearing about your wedding plans, if you want to share them with us.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Peridot1 · 03/09/2018 11:01

Morning all. Welcome to newbies and returners!

Congratulations Hairspray. That’s lovely.

Well I weighed in at exactly 15 stone this morning. Was really hoping to be slightly under and in the 14s. But hopefully tomorrow.

Just been for my walk. I use MapMyWalk and it was really playing up. All over the place. Completely wrong. At one point it said I was doing 0 mins 24 seconds per kilometre! Anyway. I haven’t done the 13 km it says I have but I have done over 9. Will stick at that now for a few days and then increase to 10.

Day 2 of Sober September yesterday. Slightly harder than the previous day but I stuck to it.

Day 2 of my Plank Challenge. Only managed 10 seconds on day one but managed 20 last night.

Busy day planned cleaning out the garage.

Have a good day everyone!
