Terf & Twin nice to see you on this thread. We'll do this together! I too have anout 3 stone to lose.

50Shades I have also been looking at the books by LWR, I"ve done her workout again this evening and been out for a fast walk.

I am watching Bake Off with dd at the moment maybe not the best choice!

GettinTrimmer · 04/09/2018 20:11

Congratulations Hairspray gorgeous ring!

Twinplusone · 04/09/2018 22:02

GettinTrimmer thanks for the welcome, watched Bake off too but multi tasked and bought Davinia’s DVD (Toned in 10) and downloaded Chloe Madeley 4 week Body Blitz on my Kindle .... eeek!!

KickBishopBrennanUpTheArse · 04/09/2018 22:19

terf and twin great to see you here. I think I should get a reward for recruiting. Maybe a bonus lb off this week Wink

We've also been watching bake off. Very bad for the will power.

It's been a good day otherwise. I managed a 30 minute run. I kept off the sugar (except a small cupcake during Bake OffBlush)

I think I might check out The YouTube recommendations tomorrow too.

Terf2Terf · 04/09/2018 22:48

I've cooked a kilo of bulgar wheat and red rice mix and divided it into portions so I have lots of quick meals (add soy sauce and balsamic and a bit of meat and lettuce), hopefully will distract me from eating bread.

I'd like to lose a stone by Monday so I can fit into something to wear for the new job!!! Did boxercise class and then swam this evening. Am just tipping the scales at 15st but my optimum weight is 12st (I am tall and really dense - I don't look as heavy as I am!!) it's a problem because it means my BMI is 'high' which the doctors bring up every time I go about something else. Hmm

Anyway nice to see some familiar names here! We WILL succeed Grin

poorpaws · 04/09/2018 23:06

Still trying hard.

Love your ring Hairspray.

HappyGowerGirl · 05/09/2018 07:05

60.1kg or 9.6 this morning, hoping to dip below 60kg this week (and then stay there next week🤔)

ponygirlcurtis · 05/09/2018 07:10

Definitely recruiting commission coming your way Kick! Great job. Wink The more newcomers the merrier.

Welcome back Quim, hope you had a brilliant holiday - you will see off the mac and cheese in no time.

Hope you are settling in BOOP. 😊

I haven't had the best couple of days. Period bloat and new bathroom anxiety has scuppered things a bit. Will see what today brings.

Have wrapped up the weekend of birthday parties and family meals out every night the last weeks with family over by gaining a kilo. Weighed at 59.3 kgs this morning. The
Amin this week is to lose that kilo.

QuantumWeatherButterfly · 05/09/2018 09:19

Welcome newbies - you'll love it here! It's now officially the best thread on MN for nothingSmile

12st 8 again this morning. I was really hopeful it might be better than that. Sigh. DH and I are giving Paul McKenna until October to prove he can make us thin, and if it isn't working, we'll need to go back to calorie counting.

Magpie1111 · 05/09/2018 09:39

Can i join too?

Trying to go sugar free. Stumbled across this healthy dessert blog: chocolatecoveredkatie.com/baby-making/sugar-free-pb-cookies/

fatfast · 05/09/2018 09:59

Hi Guys,

First time post here!

Please Can I join?

Currently 10st, would ideally like to get to 9st 7. Currently very active exercising everyday and eating healthy but start a new job Monday and moving to London.

Know there's going to be a lot of social events where drinking is inevitable so fingers crossed I exercise enough to disregard this BlushConfused

Standbyyourmammaryglands · 05/09/2018 11:24

Hello lovely ladies.

Congratulations hairspray the ring is gorgeous !

I’ve lost 3lb since Monday down to 9,12st by eating vegan, but I know it’s the not having dairy that made the difference! My boobs shrink too 🙈

I’ve just got to get through the weekend with no booze for it to stay off!

Hope you all have a good day Smile

Standbyyourmammaryglands · 05/09/2018 11:25

Hi fatfast! That’s were abouts I need to be but would love it if I got to 9,4

Terf2Terf · 05/09/2018 11:51

Ooh lots of sugar-free people! Can I ask - when you say sugar free do you mean just no sugar or do you include artificially sweetened food? I am quite sensitive to most sweeteners so tend to stick to either real sugar or plain versions. I weaned myself off sweetened tea/coffee a couple of years ago but I'm still fat!

Magpie1111 · 05/09/2018 11:55

@fatfast there are lots of affordable gyms in london so you should be ok.

Im targetting 9, 7 too!

KickBishopBrennanUpTheArse · 05/09/2018 12:19

Terf I lost weight last year by cutting out added sugar and I had no sweeteners or alternatives either. I still had some carbs though.

I don't usually have sweeteners e.g. aspartame anyway and I found after a few days I lost my sweet tooth. I think sweeteners, stevia etc would stop that happening.

I did still have fruit too so wasn't totally strict. After a few weeks I had sun dried tomato in a Bolognese and it was so sweet it made my eyes water!

I'm trying to get back to that but the problem is I can only keep it up for a few weeks. Life's too short to do it permanently.

Terf2Terf · 05/09/2018 12:26

Thanks KickBishopBrennanUpTheArse, that makes sense. In which case it's not likely to lose my weight because I don't add sugar/sweetener to anything (cook from scratch)! The only thing is full-sugar tonic in my gin but that's only two a week, which doesn't account for my huge arse!
sigh I'll have to cut out bread and pasta again...Grin

GettinTrimmer · 05/09/2018 18:13

I did well today until cooking dinner when a few little bits of cheese found their way into my mouth! It's my most challenging time, home from work, hungry and cooking. I did manage to do Lucy Wyndham Reed's 7 minute challenge, and also going out for a walk this evening. I weight in at Slimming World on Friday. All crossed.

Quatom I like the Paul McKenna idea. I went to a hypnotist a while ago for another issue, I believe it works and it's good you have your dh to join in with you, which will help you both stick to it.

Terf I agree with the stone by Monday! Work clothes can be challenging, I felt like a frump today. I like to wear slim trousers, but covering my middle is the challenge.

As far as fruits are concerned, I saw a programme and found out grapes are high in sugar, but berries are better - strawberries in particular are lower in sugar.

Terf2Terf · 05/09/2018 18:43

GettinTrimmer I loathe grapes as they are nutritionally pretty vacant and they're high in sugar! I have a dish of stewed gooseberries in the fridge at the moment - with an added 1tsp sugar - and am having a tbsp with yogurt or porridge after meals. Also a bag of frozen berries to add when gooseberries finished. Luckily I love plain yogurt and have the Greek style fat free, so it's creamy but low cal with nothing in it except milk.

Offwithit · 05/09/2018 19:59

Hello all! Posted earlier today but seems to have gone astray! May I join you? Weighed myself for the first time in ages and am 12 stone..BMI very close to obese. Has been a huge wake up call so have downloaded MFP (again..) and hoping that and this thread might spur me on.

Moominfan · 05/09/2018 20:01

Weights not moved, plenty of exercise but if I'm honest with myself lots of unnecessary snacking is hindering my progress. Turn 30 in dec got plenty of weight to lose between now n then

bloopitybloop · 05/09/2018 21:57

Had a good day today - no snacks - plenty of water and healthy foods - got 12k steps in as well. Hoping to keep this going.

Santaclarita · 05/09/2018 22:40

Starting weight last week - 14st 8lbs
Weight today - 13st 13lbs

However I don't recommend the 'method' used as I've had a gastric bug the last two days. Sad

BUT I have been walking a lot more, exercising my horse and eating better, so I'm putting some of it down to that and some for the bug.

Hope I can eat more than just bread soon. Sad
