I've got the book/cd and am downloading the app too. I'll start tonight.

I've never done this kind of thing before but am very open to it working :)

I've started day one with the app. A few mini talks today, and then I have a bedtime trance thing - I'm hopeful an offshoot of this might be that it will help my shocking sleeping

I’m in- I did this a couple of years ago but gave up. I’ve downloaded the app and i’m ready for the morning. As I remember the hypnosis definitely got me to sleep

I downloaded the audio book yesterday. Listened to it last night.

Undecided whether it'll actually work but worth a shot. I'm in.

I used this a lot before I had children and it was amazing. I ate what I wanted but had control of portion size and I felt inspired to exercise regularly. He makes sense about the diet industry and how they play on personal guilt and low self esteem. Good luck and I'll watch with interest must dig out earphones and do this as ism now ginormous

Hmm, been thinking of buying the whole book, just reading the sample on kindle and there's nothing too faddy or woo about it at all yet. Following to see how you all get on with it, good luck!

Did the trance thing last night in bed, felt a bit silly at first. His voice amused me. I failed to keep counting backwards cause I'm rubbish at maths

I've discovered I'm not too great at visualisation but that should improve. Is the trance thing the same each night?

I did sleep a bit better than usual and strangely I always wake in a degree of discomfort from back and hips but didn't this morning. Coincidence?

Btw found my book/cd in a charity shop, worth checking them out.

OK it's almost noon and because I haven't felt physical hunger yet, I haven't eaten. Not sure if that's correct or not!

So I had my lunch, I started feeling hunger rumbles whilst making dc lunch.

I had a sandwich and ate it mindfully, putting it down each bite, chewing at least 20 times doesn't that sound a lot, but in reality sometimes I was taking 30 to chew it, maybe I take big bites ;) I tried to savour it but the onion on it was too strong, so that ended up being the part I left on my plate, probably not in the spirit of things though! It took me 15 minutes to eat said sandwich.

I'm out for dinner tonight so can't exactly do the wait til you're feeling physical hunger thing, but will still follow principles of putting down cutlery in between and chewing a lot. Can't say I shall be concentrating on it much though as obviously there will be conversations going on!

It's weird as I don't actually it will work this quickly (if it does at all) but I only ate my lunch (homemade soup and 2 slices of bread) at lunchtime and my dinner (chicken breast, baked potato And veg) at dinner time. I haven't smacked or picked at sweets. I'm a dreadful chocoholic but haven't had any which is unheard of.
I've still to listen to my first nighttime thing so who knows what my mind is doing 😂

Didn't know there was an app. It seems to have fairly terrible reviews, how have you found it?

I tried this method a few years ago. It makes a lot of sense. The problem I found was reconciling it with the fact that eating is inherently social. I don't feel free to eg have a sandwich at 5pm because I'm hungry and that's what I fancy, and then have nothing while rest of the family have dinner.

Catsofa - tonight will be my first night of the "hypnotic session" but I'll report back. So far I've listened to a wee video of him describing why it's the best and the 4 ways that I'll achieve weight loss. Am trying to keep an open mind 😬

Singing I totally agree, and I can't help it but I enjoy eating. I enjoy food. Too much hence I am where where I am.

Hi Solo, I feel like I know you as I back read some of the long running threads this week :D

So as an old timer, can you maybe answer this for me. Breakfast. It's now 14.04 and I still haven't eaten as PM says to not eat til you feel hunger, am I doing wrong by this? I didn't eat til gone lunchtime yesterday either.
