5ft 2 and 10 stone anyone want to join me lose a stone?

I’m starting tomorrow. I will weigh and measure myself in the morning and plan to log my weight here weekly.

Sorry I’m late to the party but I’d like to join in with this please! I’m 5’2 and currently 10 stone - exactly the same goals. My fall down is chocolate and I’m on a mission!!

Great idea! Would love to join in. Am also 5'2 and around 11 stone (will do official weigh-in tomorrow) and would like to lose at least 1.5 stone. My downfall is biscuits with tea in the evening and also an overfondness for cheese and comforting carbs. With the collective motivation on here I'm hoping to be able to work on strategies to resist and also build in daily walks. Will also be looking out for useful sensible diet recommendations as, apart from a month or so on 5:2, this'll be my first proper weight loss plan since being a teen (ironic since didn't actually need to then, but really do need to now).

Hi everyone! I'm up for this. I'm 5 foot and 10 stone 6 my heaviest I've ever been :( I didn't think I was that over weight until I started noticing my once loose work skirt digging into my stomach. I'm pretty disgusted by my body and so ashamed I've managed to get to this weight. Looking to lose roughly 2 stone, but anything around the 8 stone 7 mark suits me fine!

My downfall is sugar! Chocolate, biscuits, cake!

I did 5:2. It worked for me and I didn't find it too hard if I was busy during the day. You do have to monitor your non fast days though to ensure you're eating enough but not overdoing it

I'm in. I'm 5ft and too many stones. Want to lose 3, probably need to lose more, but I have no idea where to start. Portions and snacks are my downfall.

And, no exercise!

Also would like to join, I'm 5ft 2, was 10 stone 12lb on New years Day but now 10st 7lb, I want to get to 9st 7lb, so have a stone to lose!

Hi there, I went away on a city break with DH at the weekend and managed to put on 2 of the 3 pounds I lost since Jan 1st! Agh!! I'm so annoyed!!! Today I ate; boiled egg for breakfast, tomato and mackerel for lunch and gnocchi for tea. 2 litres of water, a few cups of black coffee and no snacks. Also did an hour of yoga. I'm trying to low carb but obviously went a bit astray with the gnocchi! Will be better tomorrow! How is everyone else doing?

Can I join please. I had a shock getting weighed 2 weeks ago, I knew I was gaining weight but 10st 9lb is my personal heaviest. I am 5ft 2.

Just ordered some scales for my first weigh in!

Hello. I have a similar amount to loose. Op I lost the most weight ever on the 5:2 and am thinking of going back to it. You have to accept the hunger but it's actually quite refreshing on fast dYs to just not worry about food.

Loads of threads on MN about it.

How does 5:2 work? I would prob eat like a pig for 5 days whilst kidding myself that the 2 days were going to save me 😂

Basically 500 calories for two days and eat within your TDEE on the other days. ThreD here with loads of info.

Amazingly I didn't overeat on my non fast days!

Lots of us in the same boat.

I have got a stinking cold - so not much of an appetite today.
Really losing weight isn’t rocket science is it. Anything will work if I stick to it. And there’s where I have zero willpower. I know what to do I’ve read enough diet books.

With that in mind my plan is.

Skip breakfast - I find (personally - I know breakfast is supposed to be the most important meal. Kick starts your metabolism and all that) that If i eat breakfast I am hungry all morning.
If I need a snack before lunch - fruit or yoghurt
Lunch - soup
Dinner - anything that does not include bread ( I tend to grab a sandwich or two - fast and generally has no nutritional value)
I plan to have a treat a day - a small chocolate bar. But limit my snacking/grazing.
I’ve stuck to this last few days. Will weigh in Thursday.
Last Thursday starting weight was 10.1

After reading up on 5-2 I think that 16-8 is more what I am doing. Eating in an 8 hour window. Eat two meals between 12-8 then fast for 16 hours. Obviously just eating too much

Well my scales have arrived and they are doing 9lb off in two weeks! Whilst that is amazing I am taking it with a pinch of salt because they are different scales in a different place so my new starting point is 10st and half a pound.

Holiday is booked for April half term do aiming for 9st by then. 14lb in 11 weeks? Do able?

Thanks Two will have a read through but think 500 cals would kill me!

I broke my foot so was non weight bearing for 3 months. It still really hurts so can't do much in the way of exercise.

2 lb loss this week so 5 lbs in 3 weeks which i am pretty pleased with. Having a night off saturday for takeaway and drinks at my friends so have a feeling will be no loss this week but going to be good every other day to try and help.

Just got back from swimming. Exhausted today and can't be bothered with anything proper to eat so just going to have oatcakes with cashew butter.

I haven't been exercising recently with all of us being ill but want to introduce something. Thinking 30 day shred if I can find some motivation.

HAve my period now and feel like I’ve put all the weight back on! And also do not have motivation to do my Pilates.... alcohol ban is not absolute but generally staying under 1200 calories anyway. It’s gotta have an effect if I keep at it right!?

I'm exactly the same when I have my period, I have to wear leggings and big jumpers to hide my bloated stomach too!

Hi All, 10st 5.8lbs here this morning so a 3.4lb loss since last Thurs which I am very happy with. I have been very good and I have exercised so would have been mightily disappointed if there was no shift! I had wine on Sat night and Mon night so 5 days with no alcohol and the only chocolate I have had all week is 1 Boots shapers bar for under 100 cals.

Keep at it everyone, we'll get there in the end!!
