Partially inspired by last years epic “what did you eat today” thread, anyone up for restarting one specifically in this section as a way of holding ourselves to account? No matter what your method of weight loss is....

I’m WI tomorrow for the first time in a month and know it won’t be pretty, going to ease myself in with 16:8 for a week and then adjust to either 1200kcal a day or back to 2 fast days a week. Anticipate having about 10lbs to lose.

Today was terrible but I did a transatlantic flight across several time zones so eating was buggered - I’ll start properly tomorrow!

B: Two cups of tea

L: Tuna mayo and cucumber sandwich on wholemeal bread. Peppermint tea

S: Apple. Tea with a ginger nut

D: Chicken salad wrap with homemade potato wedges. Diet coke

S: Muller light and a tea

I did so well all day. 1/2 pint ss milk, porridge, honey, 2 pecans, ff Greek yogurt, chicken, veg, tiny York and gravy. Muller light type.

And then.

Mentally scoured house for any chocolate rightfully mine and not fa's. He has tons. Remembered a leftover selection box. I bought too many. Scarfffff. It was gone within 1/2 hour. Blush All of it. Didn't even remember the crunchie. Had to check for wrapper. I'm doing WW. Reckon that was 40 points in one go.

Oh well. All gone now!!

Not a great day, my tummy hurts I’m so full Sad

B: half slice of marmite on toast
L: spaghetti squash, tofu, yellow pepper, lemon tahini sauce, peanut butter stuffed pretzels
D: roasted butternut squash risotto with grilled courgettes

Snacks were my downfall AGAIN: a mandarin, handful of cashews, protein ball thing, blueberries, animal crackers

Yesterday was OK but a bit meh.

B: Fibre flakes

L: HM moussaka - basically ratatouille between aubergine layers and a cheesy top with added egg. Despite plenty of spice, it was rather disappointing.

D: corn cob, sweet potato falafels, cucumber, pepper, radish. Soy yoghurt.

S: 2 mint chocolates

Hello.

Could I join please? About 5 years ago I lost almost 5 stone on a series of mumsnet weight loss threads. I am still much smaller than at my peak but could probably do with losing 2 stone as my clothes are all too small for me.

Today isn't a great day. So far
B: marmite toast
L: cheese sandwich
snack packet of pom bears.

I am about to pop to the shops now to get something healthy for dinner.

Yesterday I made lentil soup. Thought I had enough for lunch today but annoyingly dh came home and ate it! (Even though it was bland and tasteless.)

Hopefully by admitting how awful my diet is to complete strangers I can have an incentive to start cooking better meals. I manage to cook well for dc but graze unhealthy rubbish a lot of the time when it comes to me.

L: skinny latte and picked at baby's leftover rice cakes & quiche
D: leftover homemade quiche with salad & coleslaw

Dinner will be soup or chicken curry.

Had pizza last night, only two smallish slices though!

Stealth :

A good trick with lentil soup is to use good stock and to fry the onion /veg in butter (obv not loads if you're dieting!) to make it taste good and less bland. I also sometimes use a tablespoon of curry paste to liven it up a bit.

B: special k cereal bar, 2x coffee
L. Porridge with skimmed milk, cappuccino
Snack: handful of popcorn, handful of mini cheddars, a few blueberries
D: veggie sausage, spinach and sweet potato salad, ww yoghurt, options hot choc, small slice of kids pizza, another cereal bar

15k steps today as went for 4K run

Less than 1000 calories but seems so much when written down.

2 chicken breasts stuff with cheese and 100g of sweet potato fries

lots of water. not much appetite today but doing really well with my protein intake

Breakfast was egg and bacon muffin and hash brown ĺunch was a pecan danish... however I made slimming world jalfrezi for dinner so all good!

Breakfast - 1 slice of rye toast with 1 teaspoon of honey. Kiwi fruit and greek yogurt. Coffee with cinnamon.

Lunch - Pork and cabbage bake. Water. Coffee with vanilla cream and cinnamon.

Snack - 1 clementine and a handful of grapes. Cup of lemon and ginger tea.

Dinner - half a carton of chicken soup with 1 slice of rye bread and butter. 1 slice of ham. Coke zero.

Evening - Cup of Pukka sleep tea

Also had 1 litre of water during the morning too.

Yesterday

B: alpen light bar
L: porridge with water as run out of milk and WW yoghurt
S: 4x Percy pigs 4x animal biscuits
D: home made pizza with veggies and half a pack of mozzarella, options hot choc

Saved all my calories for the evening but got a bit faint around 5pm hence the sweets!

Weighed in at 9 stone 9 this morning and was 10 stone last Sunday!

Thanks Halfwitpicker I will try butter and experiment with stocks. I used to buy bacon and add one rasher to what I was eating to add flavour. Might try that too. I am going to be spending tomorrow googling soup and salad recipes.

Yesterday

B: 2 pieces of marmite toast and coffee
L: Nandos 1/4 chicken, mixed salad, super grains, some olives
D: About 2 small spoonfuls of cheesy pasta bake. Boring salad. Apple

I would have been under 1200 calories apart from
S: Birthday cake, strawberries, 3 coffees

Too scared to weigh myself!

Yesterday;

Breakfast: Aldi low cal cereal bar

Lunch: pulse and bean salad

Tea: turkey steak with cous cous and braised red cabbage

All came in at just under 1000 calories.

Today will be:

Breakfast: 2 brown toast with marmite - no butter.

Lunch: cous cous and ham salad

Tea: roast chicken thighs with asparagus and new potatoes.

Again, all just under 1000 cals

Been eating like this since the new year, I lost 3lb last week (not sure about the week before as I didn’t weigh myself as the batteries in scales were dead)

Yesterday & today are write offs!

Went to a party last night that involved a 3 course sit down meal & im to tired to say no to the full on roast today.

Scales showed a mantain this morning.

Back to it tomorrow

Breakfast, black coffee as I wasn’t hungry

Lunch roast chicken and gerhkin sandwich, banana

3 crackerbread things with cream cheese

Dinner is going to be cottage pie with lots of broccoli and peas

Natural yog and apple compote.
Coffee.

Two scrambled eggs.
Four melba toasts, peanut butter.

Half cup of cottage cheese.
Few carrot sticks.

Chick pea, cucumber, carrot and orange salad and a bowl of veg and lentil soup. Few slices of roast turkey from the deli.

Dinner will be chicken salad.

Need this weight GONE! It's Spring soon.

L: roast chicken, small portions of gravy, stuffing, carrots, brocolli
D: toast and half a pot of baked beans.
Snacks carrots, cucumber sticks, peppers, one oatcake with butter, coffees.
I am full now but will have an apple or banana later if I'm hungry.

Crikey, you're all doing so well!

1000 cals per day, not surprised there's some fab losses. I need to up my game. I'm doing barely any exercise too as it's winter, dark nights, too cold etc. Just signed up for a twice weekly lunch time yoga class though so that'll be something. Can't wait for spring cycling 🚵

Dinner is going to be chilli chicken with a small portion of rice and garden peas.

Then I will have a home made smoothie ice lolly
