Partially inspired by last years epic “what did you eat today” thread, anyone up for restarting one specifically in this section as a way of holding ourselves to account? No matter what your method of weight loss is....

I’m WI tomorrow for the first time in a month and know it won’t be pretty, going to ease myself in with 16:8 for a week and then adjust to either 1200kcal a day or back to 2 fast days a week. Anticipate having about 10lbs to lose.

Today was terrible but I did a transatlantic flight across several time zones so eating was buggered - I’ll start properly tomorrow!

Woke up very late today, so no breakfast!

L : leftover stir fry veg and noodles, apple
D : big bowl of homemade soup, boiled broccoli, hunk of cheese, 5 olives
S : cups of green tea to keep the hunger at bay

Had a very sweaty gym sesh today as well, so all in all a good day!

Couldn't sleep last night. So since midnight.
3 cream crackers 2 slices of Leirdammer light.
2 slices of ham another slice of Leirdammer. Mustard. Half a slice of brown bread (small loaf)
Mushroom omelet: Tiny amount of olive oil. 2 eggs, mushrooms
Chicken salad:lettuce, cucumber, spring onion, beetroot, tomatoes, chicken breast. 2 Charlotte potatoes. Reduced cal mayonnaise, mustard.
No added sugar squash. Coffee with skimmed milk, sweetener.
Big sin: half a bottle of red wine.
So massively over daily calories. Insomnia really doesn't help. :(

Still felt light headed today. Comes and goes. So I don't really think that weight has much to do with it.

Probably needs another thread but I've had blood tests and an ECG (I asked) due to fatigue and light headed spells since Feb last year.
I thought it was anemia. Bloods showed very low folic acid but no sign of megoblastic anemia. Still not right so had blood tests in Oct last year and January. Plus ECG in January (normal) Was suggested that I lost weight. One of them, who diagnosed bursitis in hip, suggested that I exercised more.
Asked for a print out of results; folate was not retested. Was told thyroid panel was normal, it isn't, T3 at bottom of range (Oct) with suppressed TSH. So not converting well. Another story. I take Levothyroxine. Also had other * I wasn't told about,some relating to kidney function. Significant non testing of T3 or folate. in Jan. I just feel fobbed off. Wondering if anyone else has felt the same.

I was 13 stone 5, now 12 12. 5 ft 6 But really don't believe that my weight has much to do with fatigue and feeling lightheaded Can't be the diet as I lost 10 pounds a few years ago without these symptoms.
I still think that this is some kind of anemia.

Should add that my weight was normal when falsely diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Took years to get Thyroxine. And now fight to get T3 the active hormone tested. Levo does often work.

Went to a cafe for lunch : mushroom soup and a ham and cheese quesadilla that tasted of nowt Confused
Another coffee

Piece of chocolate cake

Smoked salmon
Big bowl of lentil and veg soup
Few scoops of apple sauce
2 squares dark chocolate

I’m not exactly trying to lose weight (although I would be delighted to lose about 10 pounds but I’ve had severe eating disorders in the past and I’m in a fab place with food mindwise atm so i’m not going to actively try and lose weight) but since starting shiftwork in September my eating habits have become dire and writing it down might get back back into eating proper meals!

I might start tomorrow though, I’m off and having a lazy day and have just bought some terribly unhealthy stuff for snacks and dinner for a treat 😂

Dinner tonight will be spicy chicken with a small portion of rice and peas
Mini smoothie lolly for in the evening

Snack - strawberries, melon and grapes
Lunch - avocado on sourdough with feta
Dinner - lentils with peas, bacon, feta and mint
Today..,
Breakfast - overnight oats
Lunch - chicken ramen
Dinner - seabass with chorizo, paprika baby potatoes and asparagus
Snack - eyeing some dark chocolate! Grin

punnet of blueberries and some roast carrots
falafel plate (w/ tabbouleh, kale salad, houmous, baba ganoush, pita, grilled veg)
brussel sprouts and sweet potatoes roasted in zhoung sauce, with avocado and drizzled in lemon tahini sauce, and picked at DC fish fingers and chips

Today has been rubbish purely because of flying at 6.40am and the inevitable tiredness but tomorrow is looking great Grin

  • Weetabix and banana with skimmed milk
  • Hm sweet potato and carrot soup, lion bar
  • The body coach’s big beefy meatballs with salad (very excited for this)
  • satsumas for snacks if needed during the day
