It’s that time of year again when mince pies attack and the baileys is calling.

Trying to stay on the wagon is easier when you ihave the Slenderistas on your side

I can't quite get over it Hairspray.

The 28 inch jeans I bought in summer, the waist is too baggy.

HairsprayBabe · 14/12/2017 14:01

red one is for christmas day,
blue one is for works do or possibly new years eve,
green one is also either for works do or NYE depending on how i feel

Green one looks better on me than on the model online I think!

ponygirlcurtis · 14/12/2017 16:09

I absolutely love the blue velvet one, just sumptuous. I am tempted by it myself...

FreeNiki · 14/12/2017 19:18

Hairspray love the midnight blue one.

Triskaidekaphilia · 14/12/2017 19:37

I'd like to join you all, congrats on all the great losses. I'm doing a VLCD because it's the only thing that's ever worked for me, so the biggest challenge will be keeping it off. I started today and I will be on the diet til 23rd, which I see as like a 'practice run', off until the 27th because I'm with family, then back on it until I lose 3 stone or get pregnant! I weighed at 12 stone 6 this morning.

lastqueenofscotland · 14/12/2017 20:08

Absolutely nailed my food today and I'm off on a date with a fellow Scot Shock

BitOutOfPractice · 14/12/2017 20:15

Hello Trisk You are most welcome.

I can't quite believe how many people are still plugging away here

I've had a golden day here. Golden I tell ya! Halo

I've been on another xmas do tonight but I had fish and the cheeseboard (bfing on SW so can eat plenty of cheese) and I'm being as good as possible on the non xmas do days!

Put on 2lb on SW scales on Monday but that's weighing in a day early and my home scales show I've lost that so hopefully I'll have officially lost that when I'm at group on Tuesday.

I don't post much but this thread is really helpful at the moment so thank you to you all!

TheCatOfAthenry · 15/12/2017 07:20

2 stone gone from today! Started in early November. 1.5 stone to healthy weight, 3 stone back to my baseline.

HairsprayBabe · 15/12/2017 08:19

I will wear the blue one I think, green is a bit more relaxed, nice for NYE when I have eaten like a pig for 5 days!

More snow here today and 9.12 bloody annoying sts for the whole month so far... grrr

BeyondAssignation · 15/12/2017 08:55

Plodding along here. Going much slower than last time as I'm aiming for something resembling the BSD but between 800-1200 cals, but I'm hoping it makes it easier to stay on the wagon. Down 6.8lbs from the start :)

BitOutOfPractice · 15/12/2017 09:29

Look at us all on track!

Hello IHeart - it's so nice to know that our inane witterings pearls of wisdom are helping. Sounds like you're on all the right tracks.

I am back in the 10 stone bracket again for the first time in ages. I shall ruin it all this weekend (going to the pub to watch football tonight) but at least my hard work this weekend has paid off

What's everyone up to this fine advent weekend?

I have my works christmas do tonight and then I am hosting an apres skii party tomorrow.

Much food!

lastqueenofscotland · 15/12/2017 10:17

Nailed my food yesterday and date went well I think

QuimReaper · 15/12/2017 10:29

I am staying in tonight, ordering a takeaway, watching Love Actually and wrapping Christmas gifts Xmas Grin It's an annual tradition, I cannot wait!

QuimReaper · 15/12/2017 10:31

Out for dinner last night, and I managed to subsist on coffee and one of those half sandwiches from Pret before dinner. Hoping that undid some of the damage from the meringue I had for pud...

(I was a bit aggrieved to discover that the dinner wasn't even really confirmed until yesterday morning - I could really have done with a fast day! Never mind though)

TheDonald · 15/12/2017 11:00

Well done TheCat. That's really good progress.

I'm still solidly 10 st 11. Very happy with that. I did aim for 10 10 this month but really I'm just happy not to be gaining at this stage.

Even though the scales have hardly moved this month I feel like I am getting smaller. A pair of jeans that started fitting me a few weeks ago are now a bit loose on the waist / hips. (Still snug on the thighs.) Not sure how that's happened but I'm not complaining!

twinkledag · 15/12/2017 15:31

I've had an OK day so far considering it's December!

Eggs for breakfast, skinny latte, huge salad with chicken for lunch, some hula hoops, scoop of ice cream and half a mince pie.

My exercise bike arrived today so will be cycling in front of the TV tonight :D

lastqueenofscotland · 15/12/2017 16:51

Did really well today again. Finally gettting my head in the game again

FreeNiki · 16/12/2017 18:35

Still 9.7 but NSV just bought a size 8 dress in next. Grin

poorpaws · 16/12/2017 20:24

Brilliant NSV Niki well done.

ProseccoMamam · 17/12/2017 01:24

I completely fucked off my diet and ate crap with the excuse of 'it's Christmas' but I'm now back on this thread with more pounds to loose and not a lot of motivation. I got lost on the other thread...

ProseccoMamam · 17/12/2017 01:25

@twinkledag I read that as 'I'll be crying in front of the TV tonight' GrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrin

lastqueenofscotland · 17/12/2017 12:00

Had a slightly too good day on the food front yesterday which meant I got blind drunk on not much alcohol and I am now really hungover and don't feel up to eating anything Blush

TheCatOfAthenry · 17/12/2017 12:20

Thanking you for the encouragement, @TheDonald.

This thread is so helpful.

I've taken to telling everyone I know that I'm on a diet so that my pride will prevent failure!
