It’s that time of year again when mince pies attack and the baileys is calling.

Trying to stay on the wagon is easier when you ihave the Slenderistas on your side

No idea where the wagon's gone I'm afraid. I think it sped off without us... will attempt to catch it up in January I guess Xmas Grin Wine Cake Gin

splatattack · 22/12/2017 18:13

I agree Hairspray...the wagon is there on the 3rd of Jan...until then enjoy yourself!! 🍾🍾💃🏽

HappyGowerGirl · 22/12/2017 18:34

Haha I've also lost sight of the wagon! I've more or less given up on the food&booze front... I seem to need a lot of 🍷🍷🍷 in order to cope with some terrible family dynamics. I can't be the only one😂

However to offset my shameful pastry and wine and cheese intake I've been going for a run in the morning (5k) which has been nice.

TheDonald · 22/12/2017 19:11

Hi Gower. Plenty of comfort eating going on here due to difficult parents. I've just got back home after a very tense visit so a couple of normal days before the much easier prospect of my ex and his partner coming for Christmas!

What is it about Christmas that brings out the worst in families?!

Weigh in tomorrow should be interesting. The only saving grace is that I went out for a long run yesterday to escape the tension.

BeyondAssignation · 22/12/2017 20:28

Bus service for the wagon is reduced to Christmas hours between now and 2/1 😂
I'm not doing too bad today, apart from that my mum specially cooked me lunch that took up nearly all of my days calories (beef and Stilton pie, it was gorgeous)

poorpaws · 22/12/2017 22:32

I did my Christmas food shop tonight and it says it all!

Small chicken, a few vegetables, two bottles of wine and then nearly £50 worth of chocolate desserts, puddings, sweets etc and all for just me. The sad thing is I will easily eat the lot. But come the New Year I’m gonna sort my chocolate addiction, it’s chronic. I will need a lot of help you lovely people but I know you’ll be there for me as usual 😘

Started the profiteroles and Belgian choc cheesecake, both were divine (so were the choc almond ice lollies 😊)

For those still on the wagon, well done and I’ll see you in January. I haven’t a clue what I weigh now so might need resuscitation in January.

KikisReindeerDeliveries · 23/12/2017 08:16

Poorpaws I'm going to be joining you for sugar addiction support. It's already bad but will be chronic by the new year. Also not weighing in.

January will be hell, but until then Winecheers!

TheDonald · 23/12/2017 09:10

Well i braved the scales this morning. I got 10 13, but persuaded them down to 10 12.8 after using the loo!

That's only a 1lb gain so not disastrous but I'd really like to stay under 11 if I can. It has all gone wrong because of the large tub of heroes on the coffee table! They are going in the boot of the car this morning until our guests arrive tomorrow night.

Heads down now - see you on the other side! Xmas Grin

HappyGowerGirl · 23/12/2017 14:43

Well done for braving the scales Donald!

I'm staying with family until the 29th and conveniently they do t have scales😀

Went for another 🏃 run this morning which felt good. There's no way I'm burning as many calories as I'm consuming but it still feels good to get out there and escape my inlaws

😀😂

ponygirlcurtis · 23/12/2017 18:01

I weighed this morning too, remarkably have stayed the same. Hope everyone has a good Christmas break, I will be back on it properly in the new year too (along with the rest of the country! 😆)

beela · 23/12/2017 21:56

Hi! I haven't rtft but can I join you? I need a way of keeping at least semi on track over the next week.

I started last January at 80kg, I've been doing no-s and shredding and now weigh 62kg. I'd like to get under 60 but will settle for not gaining too much over the next few days Xmas Smile

poorpaws · 23/12/2017 22:30

kiki we will support each other in January, by then I’ll have a lot of work to do.

Eaten like a pig all day and evening, I’m so going to regret this.

TheDonald · 24/12/2017 08:25

Beela that's a great achievement. Well done! Welcome to the thread Xmas Grin

I had a very welcome good day yesterday. Stuck to a fairly normal three meals and went to Pilates. Just one slice of cake in the evening but otherwise pretty good.

I did the Christmas food shop and really tried not to go too crazy. It's all the leftover food that causes the damage. Anything my guests haven't eaten by the time they leave tomorrow evening is going straight to the food bank. Normal diet resumes on the 27th!

FreeNiki · 24/12/2017 14:34

What is it about Christmas that brings out the worst in families?!

No idea but I spent the weekend taking everyone's presents back after a major incident last week. I have given no one anything and refused to accept gifts.

Now enroute to Heathrow. Thank god.

twinkledag · 24/12/2017 16:54

My diet resumes back to normality on 28 December when I'm back from the in laws!!

HappyGowerGirl · 24/12/2017 23:55

Yikes FreeNiki that sounds tricky!

Are you off somewhere nice?

TheCatOfAthenry · 25/12/2017 02:02

I'm back on the wagon after my Christmas celebration last week (because I'm working today).

Still lost a pound in the last week. BMI just over 27. Was 33.9 on 2/11/17!

HappyGowerGirl · 25/12/2017 13:52

Nice work TheCat!

I've been running for my life to combat the Christmas indulgence and it seems to be working! 9.3 this morning! 🏃‍♀️🍷🎄🍷🏃‍♀️

BeyondAssignation · 25/12/2017 14:07

I have not weighed. Grin

I did stop eating xmas dinner when I was full, which is something. However I then started eating chocolate...

DH has gone for a post dinner doze, I had a pre dinner doze while he was cooking. The DCs had us up before five.

Where are you off, niki?

beela · 25/12/2017 19:08

I have been eating for Britain today. But I did get a Joe Wicks dvd so will start again with some hiit tomorrow morning. Just need to finish off all the chocolate tonight so it's not there in the morning. I'm sure there's some logic in that somewhere...

TheDonald · 26/12/2017 08:49

Morning everyone!

I hope you are all having a lovely break. We had a really chilled out day yesterday. Dds dad and family were here in the morning for present opening and then dd and I watched a Marvel triple bill in the evening!

Feeling very positive this morning as I am climbing back on the wagon. All guests have gone and all festivities over. All of my family visits, parties etc were last week so today I'm tidying up and going for a long walk, then tomorrow I'm back at work and back on the diet.

I'm very pleased that I was careful with the food shop and although we overindulged yesterday we don't have ridiculous leftovers today. Just half a tube of Pringles and the horrible heroes left.

Haven't weighed this morning but hoping for 10 10 by saturday then 10 7 by end of Jan.

BitOutOfPractice · 26/12/2017 10:03

Morning! I have eaten ALL the things and drunk even more. But I don't feel worried or bad about it, it's Christmas innit? I will be ready to get back to it in January but for now I'm thoroughly bloody enjoying it!

OP posts:
ponygirlcurtis · 26/12/2017 12:06

That's kind of how I feel BOOP - although an embarrassing amount of wine was consumed yesterday, and I am feeling it today. suspect I was quite drunk but family are so far being too polite to mention it, eeeek

HairsprayBabe · 26/12/2017 12:40

Hope you all had lovely christmasses ladies, didnt eat too much yesterday, did drink soooooooo much though 😂

KikisReindeerDeliveries · 26/12/2017 21:56

I have learnt that a Boxing Day bugger does not get et but all of the booze does
