Hi , being or having a thread like this that I update and feel part off really motivates me to stick to the plan . Please join in.
I have been dieting since April 10 th , I am 5 ft 1and have went from 10 stone 1 to last week 8 stone 13.
However I've had a shitty diet few days and I'm due my period so today was up to 9 stone 4 .
This is when I'm really bad at saying feck it !
However , my aim is by July 3rd to be 8 stone 7lb and go away my holiday to no doubt put some back on :)
I calorie count on MFP , I still eat crisps etc but try to keep them to low cal ones.
I am trying to increase my water and trying to get on my exercise bike but not doing brilliantly with that.
I weigh every day .
Hopefully other folk will want to join otherwise I'll just update to myself :)

Morning all -

Have had one 'moderate' day (i.e. low cal) since coming away at the weekend and the rest have been a free for all !! only plus side is that it's been an active holiday, hill walking , running, swimming, so not all bad. Got a quieter day today so am hoping to have another more moderate day food wise. Am not aiming to lose weight while away, but I'd rather not gain more than 2lb or so.

I'm going to report back to you all at the end of the day ! wish me luck !

Welcome home Pea when you get here !! sounds like you've had a ball xx

Xoticdreamz · 04/08/2017 08:57

Well done on the loss fiveand loads of luck Rufflingthat all sounds very energetic!
I remain the same which is great although this week would be great if I could shift a couple of pre festival lbs as I know I'm going to eat loads of chips and drink loads of wine plus the breakfast in the morning😬
I dunno if that's the right way to go about it or if my body will drop anymore actually as it seems steadfast at sticking to the same weight . I shouldn't moan I just don't want to shoot up.
How much has everyone lost? Would be good to do a round up.

How is everyone getting on , very very quiet on the thread!
I'm away to a festival thing this weekend which I'm sure lots of chips and wine will be consumed Grin

Was just about to come on Xotic and say that I'm going to really need you all come Friday when I've returned from holidays - think there'll be some work to do to get down to my pre-holiday weight !!! holidays have been great, but just so much more difficult to regulate what you eat - arrrrrghhhh!!

No scales here, but am preparing myself to be up to around 11st 4lb when I get back -I'll let you know on Friday.

Hope your festival weekend goes well Xotic !

Xoticdreamz · 10/08/2017 07:02

I'll be here Ruffling. I found it impossible to mentally try to work out calories on holiday . However thrrr is no point thinking about it to much, enjoy!
I've not really stopped dieting and have been on my bike loads as I have had a few days off . My husband has commented you are not on the diet anymore and asked what I weigh now which is 8/1.
He never usually comments about anything like that but I'm finding it quite hard to not keep to my routine for the past however many months . I don't want to go below 8 but it's hard working out how many cals to eat to maintain . Hardly first word problems just unusual that he said don't lose anymore .
I'm sure it will shoot up this weekend anyway ... and for whatever he actually says his attention and sex drive has showed a huge increase since I've lost weight. Perhaps I have more confidence. Two stone I want to stay gone though .

I have totally fallen off the wagon. I need a serious shake. Because I didn't put on much weight on holiday my brain has decided I can eat whatever I want now and I'm gunna end up back where I started 😭 I blame the giant bars of airport chocolate.

FiveShelties · 10/08/2017 11:51

Xotic you have done really well. Two stone is a lot of weight to lose. Have an excellent week-end.

pea I have done that before too, thought I was invincible and then found out I had put weight on after I returned from holiday!

Ruffling it is really difficult on holiday, so much more time to devote to eating, or in my case, usually drinking --- or both!

I weighed this morning at 10 st 8 ozs, I so want to be under ten, but going away for the week-end so don't think I am going to achieve that this week. Have lost nearly 3 pounds this week so am very pleased.

Have a good week-end everyone Grin

RufflingFeathers · 11/08/2017 18:31

Hey all !
Weigh in this morning at 11st 2.5 so only 2lb increase on hols, not bad at all. Found it so much easier to moderate my eating today, although got to about 5.30pm and realised I'd only eaten a cup-a-soup all day -great for calories but not a very healthy pattern !!

Xotic - feel for you with the dynamics of maintaining. How long did it take for you to lose the 2 stone ? think in a few weeks when the rest of us have actually achieved our target weight we should turn ourselves into a maintaining thread - I reckon that'll actually be harder than the losing weight bit.

Pea - you can't have completely fallen off the wagon or you wouldn't be coming on here to say hi, so at least it's still in your consciousness !!! Have you actually done a weigh-in since that first time when you came home ? I was convinced I'd put on 5lbs on hols so to find it's only 2lb is quite encouraging!!

Five - that's incredible to have lost nearly 3lb in a week !!! half a lb will come off in no time next week.

No food in the house so just eating random freezer food for dinner, definitely helps to have all my favourite things in the fridge e.g. cottage cheese, slimG+T, LOL. Can feel my tummy sagging over my jeans a little as I type this - so so so looking forward to that not happening, 10st 10lb here I come !!

Xoticdreamz · 12/08/2017 11:51

Hello all , officially eating what I want and drinking what I want till Sunday at midnight😂
I have PMT which makes me lose all control off my eating anyway so just as well. I started last night and much enjoyed a humugous packet of crisps and ice cream. Not going to weigh myself till wed at the earliest!

pea, jump back on you can totally do it. A wee break can boost your metabolism anyway I think which is what I'm telling myself this weekend!
Ruffling thats amazing 2lb ! Brilliant! I've started this diet on 10 th April so about 4 months.
Five
Have a great weekend ,3lb go you !

OP posts:
RufflingFeathers · 13/08/2017 07:14

Enjoy Xotic !!!! PMT is nightmare, enjoy the free pass to eating plenty !!

Down to 11st 0.5lb here, not sure why the 2lb loss but not complaining !

Also planning to start the 30 Day Shred sometime this week - am training for a half at start of Oct and reckon this might help tone up some baggy arms and tummy....here's hoping lol

Xoticdreamz · 14/08/2017 06:59

Morning all, 3 days off total and utter greed! I had a great time but dunno why I thought I wouldn't weigh myself this morning . I've put on 7lb😬
Although I was due my period yesterday so some will be bloat. I am though thinking( trying to put a positive on it!) that I will be in a similar situation in a few weeks when I'm on holiday and have a wedding the weekend after I come back so it will be useful to know how quickly or not that I lose the weight by going straight back on plan.
I honestly don't think I could look at another chip at the moment anyway.
Hope you are all having a nice day, pouring with rain here.

OP posts:
RufflingFeathers · 14/08/2017 20:08

Sounds like fun Xotic ! hope you didn't get too wet.

I'm down to 11st this morning, not even really sure how, must just be water loss. It's the lightest I've been since I first weighed myself in June (and was 11st 6) but don't feel very trim - strange isn't it, felt trimmer a few weeks ago when I was slightly heavier but less podgy.

Anyway, not complaining, only 4lb to go.........

FiveShelties · 14/08/2017 22:56

It will just fall off Xotic - just ike the 4 pounds I managed to gain over 4 days! Good job we did not go for 14 days! So back again to 10 stone 5 lbs. (Tuesday morning here)
Ruffling well done.

Have a good day everyone.

RufflingFeathers · 15/08/2017 09:45

Down to 10st 13.5 today - yey, I've managed to get under 11st !
Also done 2 days of the Shred, so hopefully that'll manage the wobble a bit.

Well done Five for getting down again

So much easier now that we're not on holiday - plus really busy with kids etc so not loads of time to think about it.

Xoticdreamz · 16/08/2017 10:03

Hope sofive brilliant that yours has gone so quick.
Rufflinginto the 10's fanbloodytastic! Really pleased for you.
I'm down from 8:8 to 8:5.. I should have kept my word and not weighed to this morning.
Hopefully the last few will go just as quick, got my period yesterday and tmi but the eating and drinking everything for three days has really cleared out my system iyswim. I had been having really bad constipation😬
In laws round for dinner this evening so I'll have to try and avoid too much off the food I'm making and enjoy a couple of proseccos then change to gin.
Thankfully that horrible eat everything in sight PMT has passed now.
How are you getting on pea?

OP posts:
Xoticdreamz · 16/08/2017 10:04

Ignore all the terrible grammar and mixed up words!

OP posts:
RufflingFeathers · 17/08/2017 18:29

Hey everyone - what's happened to you all ? Pea you fallen off the wagon? 123 you still alive? Five, hope the losses are still coming your way !!
Xotic - hope the constipation has passed (lolol)

I'm down again to 10 st 12.5 today. Tried on the trousers that I'm using as my marker and they still seem a bit too tight - it's hard to imagine that the next 2.5lb to get to target weight are going to make that much difference - but I'll let you know when I get there !!

peabizzle · 17/08/2017 18:55

Hello I'm here sorry!!! The holiday weight is off wooohoooo! The down side is I've just eaten a pizza. It's all about balance haha. Does anybody have any fitness ideas whilst it's the summer holidays and I can't get to the gym? Running around the park like an idiot with my five year old is all I've managed so far!

Well done to all those with losses. To all those on and off the wagon like me I totally get it but we can still do this! Xx

Xoticdreamz · 18/08/2017 09:21

It's amazing was a difference a few pounds make ruffling. I have a pair of trousers that I use as well.
Lovely to see you back peaand great the holiday weight has gone. I love my excercise bike, I leave it in the living room and do usually manage 25 mins a day whilst watching the tele. According to the cal counter that burns between 160-200 calories depending on how enthusiastic I'm feeling.
Back to 8/3 and happy with that. I'm pleased after quite a big gain that I didn't continue with the wine and rubbish this week although I have eaten more than usual .

OP posts:
RufflingFeathers · 18/08/2017 10:38

Yey ! nice to see you again Pea.
Well done Xotic on getting back on the wagon after a calorific weekend...

Pea - I've been doing the 30 Day Shred during the school hols, did it a few years ago and really felt good after it, so trying it again - it's 20mins (plus warm up/cool down but sometimes I skip those ha ha) and you're supposed to do it most days. I'm just about to go and do it now - it's a mixture of strength and cardio.

Indian tonight, which I've known about all week so have been restricting other treats in anticipation of it - cannae wait for a large glass of something and peshwari naan!!

peabizzle · 18/08/2017 11:55

Thanks I might give it a try! Ooooooo Indian sounds good! School holidays really throw me because I find it's a lot of eating out and Everything's out of routine which I struggle with

RufflingFeathers · 19/08/2017 19:23

Hey all - just touching base, doing well-ish today - but there has been so much loss this week (4lb in a week?!!) that I'm feeling a little complacent - need to keep remembering that I've still got a few pounds to go, really don't want to give up yet.

Pea, yeah, school holidays are awful, we go back next week so that'll help here too - just endless ice cream and treats to enjoy/avoid.

Xoticdreamz · 20/08/2017 08:01

My wee one went back to school last wed. It means when I'm off work I have to do at least 10,000 steps to drop him off and pick him up which is good.. in a way.
Rufflingyou are doing amazingly!
I ended up meeting my husband after work on fri night and drinking loads which was followed by loads of toast and crisps when I got in. I was okay food wise yesterday though.
I put weight back on so quickly though and was back to 8/5 this morning.
Plan is be really good this week and try to get back down a bit as it's my daughters 22nd b day next sat and will be a day of lots of food and drink.
I am happy with anything between 8 and 8/3 to maintain though but I really have to watch unfortunately.
Hopefully that 6 month thing will kick in bloody soon so my weight stabilises and takes the extra calories when I have them a bit better. It's annoying although not nearly as bad as when I do low carb and then stop .. that weight gain was horrific and demoralising.
Anyway sorry for the long post. Hope you have a nice Sunday everyone, I'm very much going to enjoy my day off as I have a really busy week at work coming up.

OP posts:
FiveShelties · 20/08/2017 23:09

My weight is all over the place - could/probably due to my wine consumption. So Monday morning here and I am 10 3lbs 2ozs - five weeks today I want to be at 9-12. So why am I faffing about?! Need to lose one pound a week, sounds really easy when I write it down. Hope everyone has had a good week-end. Grin

RufflingFeathers · 21/08/2017 21:48

Hey all - Five, sometimes I think 'only' having a small amount to lose makes it harder !!
Xotic - you're a few months ahead of me, so I really want your 6mth stabilising thing to kick in too to give us all hope !!

I'm up a lb or two from the end of last week - not too worried, as the losses felt unnaturally large. Dominos for tea, which probably doesn't help, ha ha. Am exercising a fair bit, and generally feeling a bit lighter but would love to lose these last few lbs. Tomorrow is another day....
