Hi , being or having a thread like this that I update and feel part off really motivates me to stick to the plan . Please join in.
I have been dieting since April 10 th , I am 5 ft 1and have went from 10 stone 1 to last week 8 stone 13.
However I've had a shitty diet few days and I'm due my period so today was up to 9 stone 4 .
This is when I'm really bad at saying feck it !
However , my aim is by July 3rd to be 8 stone 7lb and go away my holiday to no doubt put some back on :)
I calorie count on MFP , I still eat crisps etc but try to keep them to low cal ones.
I am trying to increase my water and trying to get on my exercise bike but not doing brilliantly with that.
I weigh every day .
Hopefully other folk will want to join otherwise I'll just update to myself :)

My name is FiveShelties, and I completely fell off the thread! Now back to 10 stone 5 pounds and 4 ozs and so annoyed with myself! Aim is 9st 12 lbs so here we go again ...................

Xoticdreamz · 23/07/2017 16:33

Welcome back Five . Nice to see you posting again . Not too many lbs to lose before you get back in the 9's .

I weighed in at 8 stone 6 lb this morning. Not really been feeling that great though, dunno if it's the start of a virus or something which is crap.
However 2/3 lbs to go till target and I'm wearing trousers today that have never fitted before and have just been hanging in my wardrobe from the last year so that's great.

FiveShelties · 23/07/2017 22:45

Thank you Xotic, it is good to be back before the seven pounds becomes 14.

You are doing really well, hope you feel fighting fit soon.

Xoticdreamz · 24/07/2017 08:48

That sounds it Five, it's always my mistake not to catch it before it becomes like to much flaming hard work.
Not a bad day yesterday but very little exercise. Remain at 8 stone 6 on the scales . Still don't feel great but I wonder if it's the tiredness of going back to work and also knowing I'm working loads in the upcoming weeks.
Loads of people commented on my loss yesterday though, it was weird almost nobody noticed the first stone I lost but now they really have.

Morning all -down to 11 st 0.75 here today, soooo close to under 11 - determined to get there by end of week. Didn't have a particularly good weekend so pleased to have lost a little- exercise helped, got a new running partner so felt I really pushed myself.

Hope you're feeling better today Xotic - it's miserable to be under the weather when you're working loads.

Yey - great to have you back Five - I left the thread for a while too, glad it's still going.

Beauty, I'd be really interested to hear about any of your regular 400 cal meals if ever you have a minute to share any.

Have a good day y'all....!!

Xoticdreamz · 25/07/2017 09:26

You are def going to get into the 10's Ruffling!
Well I'm pretty pleased today .. after 16 weeks I'm at target weight when I stood on the scales . 8 stone 4lb and a loss of 25lb
It's not been easy at times and I remember the scales seemed stuck at 9 stone 3/4 for weeks and weeks but anyway it's off and it's all about keeping it off which I know it's the hardest part . I text my husband to tell him ... who is so so bored but I know bloody pleased with my new figure and he said slap up meal to celebrate tonight !!
I said to bring a bottle of prosecco, I know myself to well and I know I need to keep a watch and stick to what I have been doing with a little more treats or I will be back to square one .
Hope you are all doing well today .

FlowersFlowersWine

Yey ! so chuffed for you Xotic!!! that's really fantastic. Hurray for a glass of prosecco :)

Like you say, though - now the really hard work begins !!

I'm down to 11st 0.25 here - perilously close to the 10s, but going to a bbq tonight so suspect that it'll be tricky not to eat/drink too much there.

I've really enjoyed this week of moderation - although have been a little constipated - anyone else experienced this ? seems strange as I'm eating proportionally more fruit/veg than I used to, but obviously I've cut something out that helps things digestively????

Pea - how you getting on on holiday ? hope you're enjoying yourself

123andBreathe · 25/07/2017 16:42

I'm back, with my tail between my legs Sad.

You all deserve a pat on the back for being good, and I need a kick up the bum!

Will report my weight after I have got on the scales in the morning, just in case there is a bit of residual fluid hanging on Wink. Xotic, you have inspired me to keep going, you have done so well getting right back on it.

Hi Beauty, and good that you're back on Five.

Ruffling - try increasing your fluids more maybe?

Xoticdreamz · 25/07/2017 18:20

Wellcome back 123 and thank you😀
I hope the scales are nice and kind to you in the morning . I only way in the morning naked and after a pee 😂

Yes I did get quite constipated Ruffling, the first few days of my holiday were really bad with it . I think like 123 said wash it out and drink loads of water . Enjoy the BBQ tonight.
Hope you are having a great time away Pea .
I'm awaiting my bottle of prosecco which now he has mentioned it I really hope he buys on his way home from work!

OP posts:
FiveShelties · 26/07/2017 06:02

Xotic - hope the Prosecco arrived and was nicely chilled!

Ruffling, isn't it funny how we all want to get just below those magic stone markers! I hope you enjoyed the BBQ and you are 10 stone something!

123 welcome back, it is so difficult to stay on track sometime, but we both came back before the pouds came back with many friends.

Have a fantastic day everyone. Grin

FiveShelties · 26/07/2017 06:03

pounds, not pouds --- why do the spelling mistakes always appear after posting???

Xoticdreamz · 26/07/2017 07:28

No prosecco was consumed last night, he forgot🙁
Couple of G&T's and my chickpeas were lovely though .
Scales the same 8/4 .. I was wondering does anyone know how long your body takes to adjust or settle at a certain weigh? I remember reading something about it years ago but can't remember what it said.
Back to work on a very rainy dull day . At least it makes me feel like soup.. Sainsbury's have a lovely carret and coriander one for £1 at the moment which is only 176 cals for the whole pot. Really filling as well.
Hope you a good day everyone.

RufflingFeathers · 26/07/2017 08:53

Sad re prosecco, but chickpeas sound good.

Am up 1/2lb here, to 11st 0.75 - ate v well so no reason I can see - the perils of weighing everyday I guess. I'm feeling trim though - can't wait to get rid of another 4lbs.

Welcome back Five !

Interested in what you're saying about a body settling at a particular weight Xotic - if you remember what it was let us know ....

123andBreathe · 26/07/2017 22:03

I read something about resetting your metabolism once, it was along the lines of losing a stone then maintaining for 6 months, then dieting again.

Well I weighed this morning, was 10.7 (so 5lb gain), I was too scared to check before. Was good on the first week of holiday, but the second week as everything was still fitting ok let my hair down a bit more. Got back Weds, slept, spent Thurs running around playing catchup, and then a long stressful weekend away, so ate and drank a lot of rubbish. It's so much easier to be in control when I'm in charge of what food is available!

RufflingFeathers · 28/07/2017 07:02

10.7 isn't too bad 123, can't remember what you're aiming for.

I'm away tomorrow and the scales today say 11st 1.5 Hmm (up a 1lb)- not sure why the increase but wonder if period bloating is starting. Bit nervous that I'll go on holiday and have a 'stuff it' attitude - we'll see.......

Xoticdreamz · 28/07/2017 10:35

I think 6 months is about what I read as well 123. A 5lb gain is so little, that's brilliant as the exact same as what my "okay" gain was in my head . Just seems a much easier number to focus and feel achievable to get off.
I hate the period bloat Ruffling, I'm always an extra 4lb or so . I would just call it 10:13 😃
Hope you have a wonderful time away, where is it your going again? I have a memory like a sieve!
I remain at 8:4 and haven't really had any treats( still no prosecco 🙃) but I've been working the last couple of days anyway . Doing a shorter shift on sat and meeting a friend for tea so no doubt that will be a treat night. Otherwise for the next few weeks it just feels I'm working loads .. quite a lot of extra shifts to get money for lanzorote in early September.
It's a surprise for my husband., his work are in on it as well and going to make it look like he is working on his rota and I'm going to tell him the day before. Can't believe I have managed ( so far) to keep my mouth shut as it's very unlike me !

OP posts:
RufflingFeathers · 30/07/2017 10:42

Can you explain the whole 6mths thing Xotic or 123 - does that mean you have to maintain a weight for 6mths for your body to think it's normal ?

Had a lax couple of days with loads of stuff going on and eating out etc. Now up north on holiday and determined not to fall off the wagon too much. Arrived last night and very easily slipped into holiday ways - wine/crisps/chocolate - nice !!! happy for a few evenings like that, but would rather not gain back the 4lb I've spent the last 3 weeks trying to shift.......

How's everyone else getting on ?

123andBreathe · 30/07/2017 21:53

I think you have the gist of it Ruffling. Isn't that pretty much what you did, and are only struggling with the last bit?

What's the weather like? When it's dreary, makes me want to slump around, eat and drink!

Xotic that's a clever move getting work on board, what a lovely way to surprise DH.

Down to 10.5, so only 3 pounds over when I went away. Decided I want to get to 9 1/2 now. DH away all week, so he won't be bringing in wine and naughty nibbles which should help me stay on track.

peabizzle · 31/07/2017 16:40

Hola from Mexico! Just thought I'd check in. Got 3 more days to go.... I've completely fallen off the wagon and there are no scales to be seen so I can only assume I've put on 50 stone haha. Going to need some serious help when I'm back. Well done to everybody for keeping on track and having good loses! x

123andBreathe · 31/07/2017 17:04

You know what pea, it doesn't matter a fig. You sound in good spirits (have you been hitting the tequila)??!! GrinThat is what is important! You lost before, you can do it again.

peabizzle · 31/07/2017 18:42

123 maybe.... they practically feed it you on a drip here Grin it has been amazing will be sad to come home but in true British style I can't wait for a decent cup of tea haha

Xoticdreamz · 01/08/2017 08:54

Hey, been working loads so haven't posted. Had an indulgent sat night although I really really wanted to eat the burger but chose the fish to be healthier and then bottle of prosecco and two cocktails in had the most delicious chocolate cake and raspberry ice cream plus got a bottle of wine and crisps on the way home... I should have just had the burger! I'm still craving it now !

Hola to you Pea, sounds like you are having a great time.

The weight reset thing I think is just what's said above. It take the body 6 months to register that this is its " normal" weight so stops fighting to gain it . It makes sense I think and that's why maintaining is so hard.

I've stayed the same although avoided the scales until today and am 8:4.
Trying to do 50 squats a day which killed my legs yesterday to get rid of the loose skin at the top of my thighs.
Planning on doing nothing much today otherwise as I'm done in from work.

Xoticdreamz · 01/08/2017 08:56

Oh sorry, well done 123 on the loss and keep going Ruffling you have done brilliantly.

Happy holidays to those on holiday, enjoy every minute and calorie! Well I have managed to lose 2 pounds and am back to 10 3lbs 4ozs. I don't seem to have the same enthusiasm to lose these last few pounds - well I start off with the best intentions and then suddenly the wine bottle shouts my name! I have just over 7 weeks to go before return to UK for a month so would love to be under ten before I go.

I remember reading about the weight reset somewhere as well. Makes sense as it is tough to maintain and not slip into those bad habits again.
