Hi , being or having a thread like this that I update and feel part off really motivates me to stick to the plan . Please join in.
I have been dieting since April 10 th , I am 5 ft 1and have went from 10 stone 1 to last week 8 stone 13.
However I've had a shitty diet few days and I'm due my period so today was up to 9 stone 4 .
This is when I'm really bad at saying feck it !
However , my aim is by July 3rd to be 8 stone 7lb and go away my holiday to no doubt put some back on :)
I calorie count on MFP , I still eat crisps etc but try to keep them to low cal ones.
I am trying to increase my water and trying to get on my exercise bike but not doing brilliantly with that.
I weigh every day .
Hopefully other folk will want to join otherwise I'll just update to myself :)

Skulking back in - had an unplanned weekend away, and have eaten terribly and drank a fair bit of wine and gin. Consumed NO veg at all, and the only fruit was strawberry jam in a Victoria sponge, and on a scone with cream Smile.

On the plus side, I actually stayed the same - managed to stick to the 8 hour eating window, so that might have helped.

Xotic well done on getting under the 9s.

pea and ruffling, weekend blips are fine normally, they can be undone in a couple of days - it's the week long ones we have to avoid!

peabizzle · 19/06/2017 18:19

I've decided to calm down a bit. I hold on to weight so bad when I'm stressed and constantly worrying about this holiday and looking huge isn't doing me any good so today I've just eaten normal.
Breakfast - scrambled egg
Lunch- ham salad sandwich
Tea- homemade chicken curry and rice

Not had any snacks but will probably have some fruit and yoghurt later and hopefully along with the exercise it might start to shift

123andBreathe · 19/06/2017 20:03

Pea. When you say you are huge - how much would you have to lose to get into a healthy bmi? I just read back and it only looks like you are about a stone off, and have maintained a 3 st loss which is absolutely brilliant.

I am aiming to get to the healthy bmi weight as a goal, and then anything else will be a bonus!

peabizzle · 19/06/2017 20:20

Yeah I've got a stone to lose to be a couple of point into a healthy bmi at the min I'm still classed as over weight! When I was a size 20 I remember thinking how happy I would be if I could get down to a size 14 but now I'm here I'm still not happy! (Sorry very hormonal at the min and could murder for a chocolate bar Sad)

123andBreathe · 19/06/2017 22:01

So, we have established you are not huge! Please don't say that about yourself, you've done really well already, and have proved you can do it.

I totally get where you are coming from though. My biggest was in April, so at 12 st, was nearly 2 st over healthy bmi (5ft3). My smallest was 8.4 (after both my 2 DC). I still felt too big then! DD is the same height as me, and weighs 9st. I looked at her tonight and she is perfect. I cant believe I used to weigh10lbs less, and it still didn't look enough at the time! She was flicking through photos a couple of weeks ago and said I actually looked ill when I was that small.

On the chocolate front, try buying the smallest bar of dark you can find. Have a couple of squares with a cup of tea at night, it works for me to keep cravings at bay. If you get a small one, at least if you can't stop after a couple of squares, the damage is less!

FiveShelties · 20/06/2017 02:43

10st3lbs here, have lost the magnificent amount of 2ozs!! Could have been worse, could have been a gain. Weekends so difficult, that is my excuse anyway. Have a good week everyone😀

RufflingFeathers · 20/06/2017 08:44

Morning all - 11st 2.5 again here (target 10.10) - have decided that I'm going to aim to be in the 10s by the time I go on holiday (1st July) and then i can tackle the rest after that. Hormones haven't helped at all :(

Joined this thread one week ago - have lost 1.5lb since then which doesn't sound like much but definitely better than nothing. Would love to lose 2.5lb in the next ten days !

Xoticdreamz · 20/06/2017 09:12

God we are all hard on ourselfs eh !
The last 3 or more years all I have seemed to do is go up and down.
I think a lot of the time is the slowness of weight loss , I expect to be losing loads and the reality is that around 1 or 2 lb a week unless hormonal or had a previous blow out it great .
This is I think the second time I have been in the 8 stone something is the last 3 or 4 years .
I just really really want to get to a place in which I can not always be in a diet but have occasional time off then reign it in over the next few days . Not really think about food .
I have had friends comment that I talk and think about my weight a lot and it is because I usually don't stick to any diet and as soon as I've lost some I put it back on ... anyway rant over ! For me that's being about 8 stone 7 ( I'm 5 ft 1). I just feel so much better about myself .

Today 8 stone 13 , loads of walking yesterday 12,000 steps . Under 1000 cals but got two gin and slims and a packet of ringos to get me past night time danger zone .
Today I'm off and plan to to very little apart from half an hour on my bike . My feet are sore !
Keep at it , can't believe how much some of you have already lost .. Pea and 123 !!!

Thanks guys you've got my head back in the game! I've gained 2lb today but I'm suffering really bad with period bloat and this heat just isn't helping! I'm going to stay off the scales until next week when the monthly weight has come off!

Elizabeff · 20/06/2017 11:27

hi can i join i also need to lose 7lbs in 3 weeks!

RufflingFeathers · 20/06/2017 22:40

Hi Elizabeff, welcome, the more the merrier :)
You're right Xotic, we are all making progress.
I'm off to bed after a really super eating day - 5mile run this morning, ryvita and cottage cheese lunch, then small portion pasta and sauce for tea (with plenty garlic bread and 3 biscuits - whoops - but didn't have breakfast so hope that cancels it out). Am basically hopeful that the long run will have lead to dramatic weight loss on the scales tomorrow LOL - here's hoping !! na night all xx

Xoticdreamz · 21/06/2017 07:31

Welcome Eliza .
5 mile run Ruffling , wow ! The scales should be your friend !

Yesterday had a very much needed day off work and did not want to leave the house at all ! I had a really nice day , did go out for a short walk with my son in the end . Anyway back to work today :(
Yesterday 3,000 steps, under 1000 cals and managed 45 mins at a pretty slow pace on my exercise bike .
Weigh in this morning 8 stone 12 ... lightest I've been for a long time . I'm really feeling the best I've felt about myself in ages.
Have a good day fellow food fighters :)

Arrhhh ! no loss since yesterday ! still 11st 2.5. Feel good though, am not going to despair.

Well done to you Xotic on 8st12 :)))) Glad you had a day off.

Have already eaten a small croissant for breakfast, enjoyed it, LOL, no wonder I'm not losing weight ! Still feels good though, to be more moderate, reminds you that you can live without it.

FiveShelties · 21/06/2017 11:57

Well done Xotic - 8st12lbs ---- excellent

Elizabeff · 21/06/2017 12:42

thanks & well done everyone!

Currently 9stone and pretty short! hoping to lose weight and tone so i don't feel bad in a bikini., only got 3 weeks thoShock

peabizzle · 21/06/2017 17:28

Well done guys!!! I haven't weighed but I'm feeling more focused again now. Did 17,000 steps yesterday! Done around 8000 today but will get it up before this evening. Steak for tea I actually can't wait seen as I skipped lunch (been mad busy) keep it going ladies!

123andBreathe · 21/06/2017 18:29

Xotic. You are on fire!

My turn for the period bloat now, have stayed the same, but waist measuring an inch bigger, and the top of my abdomen is bloated. Have drank loads of water today, 11000 steps so far, and only had kefir and an M$S egg and potato salad. 100 cals for milk in tea I have come in at a grand total of 362 calories. If DH comes home early enough I might suggest a walk to the pub with the dog for couple of gins - seems to be doing the trick for you Xotic!

I'm willing to bet that everyone else will be seeing a loss of at least 1lb tomorrow. Talking of croissants, my MIL didn't realise they were fattening "as they don't weigh much"!

RufflingFeathers · 21/06/2017 21:50

That's so funny you said that 123 - tonight at tesco I bought myself 4 tins of gin+slim inspired by Xotic, ha ha !!

I'm bloated too - look about 4 months pregnant. Haven't been terribly low cal today but haven't snacked and portions have been v moderate.

Tomorrow I'm travelling to a day meeting - which means catered food at lunch time and then the temptation of airport chips in the evening - eeeek - perhaps I should make a plan now for what I'm going to eat while I'm waiting for the plane - there isn't an M+S food at the airport, but I think there's a superdrug (small airport)

Hey - talking of convenience food, has anyone noticed that Morrisons has significantly upped it's game with it's meal deal options in the sandwich/salad section? really lovely things to try -

123andBreathe · 22/06/2017 10:58

Morning everyone.

At long last I have lost a pound. I have exactly 2 weeks to lose 5, and still think I can fingers crossed.

Ruffling the airport chips will be overpriced and overrated - stay away from them! My nearest Morrisons is miles away, can't remember the last time I was in one.

Xoticdreamz · 22/06/2017 11:06

Pea .. 17,000 steps that's amazing .
123 , glad the scales are going in the right direction .
Ruffling and 123 😂. I do love a gin and slim , if it's the cans I always buy extra tonic to make it last longer .
Yesterday 11,000 steps and under 1000 cals but for some reason up a pound and back to 8/13. Just going to ignore it and keep on track . I have 11/12 days left to get rid of 5 ish pounds .Fingers crossed.

peabizzle · 22/06/2017 19:13

It's not an everyday thing I was filling the boredom on my day off! Everybody seems to be doing really well! All of my junk food cravings have gone now (until next month) so hopefully I will start seeing a loss.

FiveShelties · 22/06/2017 23:17

Delighted to be 10st1lb and 2ozs! Hoping to hold that over the week-end --- should leave the wine alone really! Have a good week-end everyone.

Xoticdreamz · 23/06/2017 10:10

Delighted for you too Five !
So great when the PMT tastebuds disappear Pea , I have no sense of control at that time .
Yesterday 12,560 steps , didn't eat much at all really , well under 1000 , ignored the bike staring at me and attempted some less stressful squats etc . No Gin last night !
However dropping my son and my in laws this evening and she loves to pop open the prosecco so I'm boringly going to try to reign that in .
On for the next 4 days at work which I am well aware is going to be really hard . I'm always much more hungry at work and the day is much longer as I'm up at 6.
Oh almost forgot back to 8 stone 12 today .
Have a nice weekend.

OP posts:
RufflingFeathers · 23/06/2017 11:00

Back up to 11st 3.5 this morning :( - but not surprising really as bit bloated and ate LOADS yesterday for various reasons (whoops).
Started today with another long run. Am hoping that this weekend will be a moderate one - but who knows ! feel so inconsistent, which is frustrating, but am generally eating way less than a few months back, so guess it's not too bad.

Good luck with avoiding prosecco Xotic, and well done Five on the loss !!

Xoticdreamz · 24/06/2017 07:25

I'm so impressed with the running Ruffling !
I'm so rubbish at it , have tried a few times to get into it but can't .
So the scales were kind this morning 8 stone 11 . I counted up and that is a loss in total of 18 pounds in the last almost 11 weeks . I feel really good just that push to get the last few off would be great .
I'm just starting a work marathon so it's much harder to get the steps in .
I tried one of those mug shots , quite nice and pretty filling .
Have a good weekend.
