Hi , being or having a thread like this that I update and feel part off really motivates me to stick to the plan . Please join in.
I have been dieting since April 10 th , I am 5 ft 1and have went from 10 stone 1 to last week 8 stone 13.
However I've had a shitty diet few days and I'm due my period so today was up to 9 stone 4 .
This is when I'm really bad at saying feck it !
However , my aim is by July 3rd to be 8 stone 7lb and go away my holiday to no doubt put some back on :)
I calorie count on MFP , I still eat crisps etc but try to keep them to low cal ones.
I am trying to increase my water and trying to get on my exercise bike but not doing brilliantly with that.
I weigh every day .
Hopefully other folk will want to join otherwise I'll just update to myself :)

In frustration I've jiggled the battery in my scales around and lost 4lbs since this morning 😂 Goodness knows what's going on there! I'll replace it with a new battery tomorrow and see what I weigh. Much prefer the new lower number though Grin

Annaevangelou2017 · 30/06/2017 08:47

Can I join please too ? Stuck on 9 stone and want to lose 7 pounds . I just can't seem to shift it

Xoticdreamz · 30/06/2017 21:18

Welcome Anna .
I'm sitting in the pub desperately trying to avoid ordering crisps oh crisps .. I'm starving :(
Trying to think about the bikinis and shorts in 4 days time.
Hope you all have a good weekend.

Hi Anna - what's your plan?

Hope you managed to avoid crisp binge Xotic. You will look FINE in your holiday gear, you must be well into a healthy bmi now Smile.

pea, alas, I am a 32J, so the 'normal' shops don't cater. Swimming costumes are out as if they fit the top half, the rest is all baggy. How is your appetite now?

Snorfig, good idea re battery, electric ones can be so temperamental sometimes.

10.2 this morning 1 more pound will scrape me into healthy BMI. Going to brave the shops one more time today, just about to lay out all my holiday stuff to see what I still need. At least my step count will be good!

Xoticdreamz · 04/07/2017 16:06

Hi , how are you all getting on ? Today was d day for me and I weighed in at 8 stone 8 which is 1 lb away from my target . 21 lb lost over 12 weeks . Now the challenge is trying not to gorge when I'm on holiday !
I'm away to Lanzorote 7 weeks after I get beck .. just for a long weekend to surprise my husband on our wedding anniversary so I'm buggered if I'm doing this all again !
The threads really quite but I hope everyone is getting there.

Well done that's an amazing result! Hope you have a fantastic holiday. I'm 8lb down and 2 weeks to go so hopefully I can get a bit more off! Hope everyone is doing well!

Xoticdreamz · 06/07/2017 07:59

Wow , you have done great Pea. I'm loving it but sadly I'm still thinking about my weight so can't quite get out of the calorie counting mode . Dunno if it a good or bad thing . I'm just so pleased to have lost weight and I really don't want to gain any more than 5lb while away . The problem with my body is it gains so quickly ..... been here various times before .
Can't find any slimline tonic at all:(

OP posts:
peabizzle · 06/07/2017 08:15

Maybe swap your tipple to vodka lime and soda or something? It's good if you can keep that mentality whilst away! I've got two weeks all inclusive so I've got no chance haha

Xoticdreamz · 06/07/2017 11:50

I can't find any bloody soda either 😂
Anyway hopefully some swimming with burn it off and I'm going to eat huge amounts of watermelon .
I'm all inclusive in sept , thankfully only for 3 days though .

Hi all hope I can join! I had a baby 11 months ago and have really been struggling to lose the weight. I gained 3 stones when pregnant, still have 7lbs of pregnancy weight to lose but would like to lose another stone on top on that.
I go on holiday 4 weeks tomorrow and if I could lose 8lbs by then I'd be delighted.
Stats are 5"4 and 11st10 somehow only a size 12 though. I had gotten down to 11st9 but the wee one hasn't been sleeping for the past few weeks so I've just been too tired to exercise Sad
Today:

Breakfast: Porridge with SS milk
Lunch: 4 small oatcakes, cheese & apple
Dinner: Out for dinner with friends 🙈
Exercise: Chris Powell level 3 when ds is napping this afternoon

Will need to only have a couple of drinks tonight to keep the calorie count down.

Xoticdreamz · 08/07/2017 08:13

Hi Kay , more than welcome to join although the thread has gone really quite . I'm away just now and trying not to pile the weight on . It's hard to find " diet food " i.e. The lower cal sandwiches and crisps that I rely on but I'm eating loads of fresh fruit and octopus salad last night. Limiting myself to a couple glasses of wine and the rest vodka and coke . The most challenging part is not eating the huge big bags of crisps on a nightly basis or diving into the bread and oil which is what I usually do .
Congratulations on your baby and on all that weight loss ! I bet you can lose 8lb in 4 weeks . Drinking loads of water def helps , I never really believed it but it does .

Hi, I need a kick up the gigantic wobbly backside to keep me on track!
Currently doing the 8 week BSD, about to start week 6. Currently losing and gaining the same 3lb for the last few weeks and I'd really like yo get another 7lb off before we go away on 28th July. (doable on BSD I reckon)

It's high fat low carb, plus I'm trying to fit in a few days of shred as well

Xoticdreamz · 09/07/2017 22:04

Hey thenewwave... totally doable . I wish low carb suited me as the weight loss and not thinking that much about cals is great . I feel quite sick on it and have massive gains as soon as I stop though so have given up with it .

OP posts:
thenewaveragebear1983 · 10/07/2017 07:52

Thanks xotic hope you had a good holiday. My big relaunch starts today, 2.5 weeks til I go away!

peabizzle · 10/07/2017 18:38

How was the holiday? I'm 8lb down since when I started hoping for another 2-3 before I go away in 9 days! keep it up everyone it sounds like your all doing so well!

Xoticdreamz · 11/07/2017 01:01

Im still on it Pea but obviously got to much free wi fi ! Great on your loss , absolutely fantastic.
Today has been a bad day for me , all the bread , all the cheesecake and all the wine !
I feel very out of control not having scales 😬

OP posts:
peabizzle · 11/07/2017 07:29

I'd go crazy with the freedom of no scales haha. Why don't you try the 5-2 while your out there so you don't feel like your missing out..... it's 5 days of diet and then 2 normal days I think (I don't know the proper details I've just heard of it)

Has anyone else tried it?

thenewaveragebear1983 · 11/07/2017 08:07

Pea it's actually the other way round- 5 normal days and 2 days very low calorie (500 cals). I've not tried it, some people have great results, others fall spectacularly off the wagon!

I do the blood sugar diet which is a low carb plan (no bread, pasta, potatoes, grains, or sugar) with a few other 'rules' thrown in. 800 calories s day, which does sound extreme, for 8 weeks- but you can just follow the rules and not count calories which is what I do when I'm away or have a function I can't get out of. It gives it a flexibility which helps fit in with real life

Xoticdreamz · 11/07/2017 08:58

Yeah , the plan wa to have good / bad days which I suppose I have done Pea .
I really hate not having scales as I'm also due my period the day after I get back to that will up the weight ... and is also terrible for my cravings . Anyway I do wish I could not think about it but I am.

I have a friend that does similar the one . Do you still have milk in coffee/ tea ? That was the one thing I missed the most .

OP posts:
peabizzle · 11/07/2017 09:45

There is no way I could fit 800 cals and no carbs or sugar into real life! just have things in moderation and do a couple extra work outs when your back, my weight tends to go up and down 7-8lbs but I always manage to get it back off again quite quickly it's just getting below that point where I struggle! I'm gunna try and be good on holiday but I'm not going to deny myself of something if I really want it I've worked far too hard to pay for it so I'm going to enjoy it!

Ah the 5-2 just became very appealing to me if it's only 2 days strict diet! Is it two consecutive days?

Xoticdreamz · 11/07/2017 09:53

I think it's meant to be no consecutive Pea.
You know I wouldn't mind putting on about 5 pounds whilst away . Much love you I've worked really hard at both getting the weight off and paying for this holiday. It's I think because previously I've been away and came back to 10lb gains and really struggled to get rid of it .
This all gets really boring for my husband who eats whatever and whenever he wants .. it's useful to have this to moan on tbh.
Anyway new day today , I'm staying off the wine and going to eat loads of the wonderful fish they have here.

OP posts:
peabizzle · 11/07/2017 11:29

I totally understand I'd be devastated to get a 10lb gain but try and still enjoy it without being too hard on yourself. My other half is exactly the same he eats all sorts but he's ma don the gym so his body always looks ridiculous 😒 and I feel like a potato next to him by the pool!

Xoticdreamz · 11/07/2017 11:47

I will try to take your advice Pea . You will be looking like a chip not a potato with all the weight loss 😀
My husband was always really slim until mid 30's and then his love of crisps and cider started to show ! He carries it though as he is really tall plus he doesn't really give two hoots.

OP posts:
thenewaveragebear1983 · 11/07/2017 13:55

Pea I thought that but then I got tempted by people losing 2 stone in 8 weeks and gave it a try! The first round was surprisingly easy, I lost 1.5 stone. This second round is harder and I keep going off track, but I've still lost 9lb in 5 weeks, so it works better for me than slimming world. Different strokes for different folks and all that! I couldn't do 5:2 as I couldn't control myself on the 5 days! The basis of BSD which is the low carb bit is what makes it easier to stick to IYSWIM?
