madein1995 · 28/09/2016 15:31
Ooh lovely new thread
Lolimax · 28/09/2016 16:09
All empty and echo-y in here!!
Scribblegirl · 28/09/2016 16:27
Can I join in? I've been hovering in your last one but not posted! 10 days in to hardcore MFP recording, warts and all! Have about 30lb to lose and the motivation of DP and I getting recently engaged...
Lolimax · 28/09/2016 16:31
Shuffles over to make room for Scribble! Welcome and congrats on the engagement.
Not2bObvious · 28/09/2016 16:35
Of course you're very welcome scribble, congrats on your engagement. Have you been monitoring the scales after the 10 days?
I'm tentatively saying this is another good day (so far!) Had my breakfast later then normal, lunch and now cooking dinner. So far it's showing as under 1000 so there's wriggle room
Overtiredbackagain · 28/09/2016 16:40
Marking my place
madein1995 · 28/09/2016 16:47
Hello scribbles and big congratulations on your engagement!
Think I'll keep under 1200 today (crosses fingers and toes). Going to aqua aerobics tonight from 7.30-8.30 so won't be able to snack then, and just eaten a slice of lasagne for an early dinner so I wouldn't be hungry anyway. Also going to try and do some weights exercises in a bit. My knees are aching a bit as is my arms but I put that down to them not having worked in a while so all the swimming has come as a bit of a shock to the system
Scribblegirl · 28/09/2016 16:49
Thanks for the shuffling and congrats Loli and Not
I guestimated my start weight around 12st and weighed myself 7 days in on Sunday. I came up around 11st 11, so I'm just going from that weight at the moment as my guestimate could have been wildly out! I'd love to get down to 9st 7 but I'd settle for the 10st I was when I met DP 4 years ago!
Scribblegirl · 28/09/2016 16:49
(and Made!)
coragreta · 28/09/2016 16:58
Thanks for the new thread. Everyone is doing well today.
Not2bObvious · 28/09/2016 17:05
3lb in a week is brilliant scribble - put it this way if your goal was 30lb, you're 10% there.
made great to do the aqua around that time, hopefully you'll get home knackered & straight to bed, avoiding the kitchen😉
Lolimax · 28/09/2016 17:30
I've been starving all day today, unlike me. Whether it's because it's cold or I've been bored in a training course (I'm now a fully trained Fire Warden so stand by your beds!) that's all I want to do is eat! So I'm going to walk the dogs for a good hour then home for tea and try to keep under 1200 calories. Please don't tell me Bake-Off is on tonight to add to my woes?
Toffeelatteplease · 28/09/2016 17:45
Can I loiter? Been using My Fitness Pal since January. So far lost at least 3 and half stone and gone from an 20 18 to a 12-14. I've loved having more choice of clothes. I have another stone and a bit to go reach 11 stone. But the last half a stone has been much slower. Be nice just to hear other people's stories aswell xx
Not2bObvious · 28/09/2016 17:47
I don't want to upset you further but I'm afraid it is loli, but you don't have to watch it? I've only ever watched it once so maybe that's a stupid suggestion (I believe it's like the crack cocaine of gentle TV) and I'll be avoiding it tonight. I'm going to catch up on some of my recorded programs, bit of Nashville & Cold Feet. Don't be too tough on yourself, if you need a little extra, have it - you have to live as well. Although you may find after your walk & dinner the urge may pass.

Welcome toffee, you've done brilliantly! That's a huge loss, not surprising though that the next bit is stubborn. When I did the blood sugar diet we discussed a lot about stubborn "old" weight. I have hell moving from stone to stone. Haven't been under 11 stone (currently 11.1.6) in so long, I actually don't know when I was ever! I remember being 9.4 at 19, then next thing I knew I was 11.2 at 23 (thanks a lot DP...) Anyway loads of support & chat here
Fitterbysixty · 28/09/2016 18:02
Hello Scribble and ToffeeLatte, there's plenty of room for new faces.
DS ate at college, DH had a client meeting at work so there's only me to cook for tonight. I am having a frittata thing, three eggs, some mushrooms, courgettes and roasted red pepper. I am ignoring MFP's suggestion that I can have an extra 1,240 calories from exercise and sticking to my original 1,400 but even with a glass of wine I won't hit that today.
Lolimax · 28/09/2016 18:18
Hi toffee! That's amazing. How did you decide your eventual target?
Bathsheba3 · 28/09/2016 18:24
Greetings to everyone new and old! What a lovely new thread, thanks! I've been hungry all day too Loli.
OMG Fitter - what on earth have you been up to to earn an extra 1,240 calories from exercise?
Inspired by your amazing loss Toffee even before you join us, and huge congrats Scribble. We love a wedding here! Have you set the date?
Bathsheba3 · 28/09/2016 18:26
Have fun at aqua aerobics this eve Made. Go for it. And see if you can resist snacking when you get back ... Snacks are evil. Except the odd carrot stick or apple boring
MustBeThin · 28/09/2016 18:28
Hello I've found you all again Welcome Scribble and congratulations.
Well done on the losses everyone you are all doing so well, I've had a quick read of the last thread. Its so hard to keep up these days the thread moves so fast.
Still 10st 7 here so looks like I only gained 1lb real weight on holiday. only got back to logging on MFP today. Not been overeating or anything though, been back to my usual food routine just couldn't be bothered to log it.
I'm not as strict these days, I'd say I probably want to be around 10st so only 7lb left to loose so I don't mind sometimes going over my calories by 100-200 figure it'll help me maintain long term right?
MustBeThin · 28/09/2016 18:29
Oh welcome Toffee you've done amazing! Well done.
Scribblegirl · 28/09/2016 18:32
No date yet bathsheba but thinking early 2018. I'm planning on looking at dresses around my birthday next year (April) so would love to be at target weight by then
Good day so far for me but DP and I are off to meet with our builder (flat renovation) so it's going to be a late dinner. Staying busy in the evenings is good but I'm going to have to resist the urge to go for the easy-but-bad options when we get in! loli I'm totally with you - I'll be watching Bake Off on record and chewing on my apple wishing it was an eclair
coragreta · 28/09/2016 18:43
I wish that I had lost my weight before my wedding. You'll feel great when you get there.
Finished today at 959. Couldn't face breakfast really but did finish little ones chicken drumsticks.
Not a fan of bake off. Too tempting as o love to bake. Haven't made my amazing vegan cookies in months. Might have to cook a batch for DH birthday tomorrow. Add that to the compulsory birthday takeaway and I'll pile on the two lbs I lost being sick!
