I'm 11 stone! The heaviest I've ever been and would like to be 9.5, but a more realistic goal is 10.

I've put on due to multiple rounds of IVF and being banned from exercise.

I'd like to control my portion sizes, have a few less treats (avoid stress rating) and move a bit more (maybe low impact exercise rather than previous hill running which I'm banned from).

I'll also be using my fitbit to track activity vs calories.

Anyone care to join for motivation and support?

Lou I'm doing the 5:2 so I fast twice a week, if you count that! You will be surprised - your appetite actually goes away after a period of fasting. Props to you for wanting to do it on the weekend though, I find that so hard!

Loulou0 · 11/07/2016 21:06

Thanks quim it makes sense for me to do it at the weekend as that's when I overindulge . Mon-fri I stick to 1200 cals then undo my good work over the weekend!

QuimReaper · 11/07/2016 21:06

I do that too but I'm still in awe Grin

Mumoftwoyoungkids · 11/07/2016 22:27

I'm in awe of anyone who fasts full stop. Just not something I could do. I don't do hungry. I get grumpy.

Quim Is your Dh mid 30s, blonde and carrying an extra stone? (Well 10 pounds now. Grin) If so, then "hi honey, can you take the bins out!"

embo1 · 11/07/2016 22:47

I need to do something

QuimReaper · 12/07/2016 12:02

I'm going to weigh myself this afternoon. Keep your fingers crossed for me seeing that 55!

QuimReaper · 12/07/2016 19:18

56.6 Hmm

Bastarding scales.

SimonNeilshair · 12/07/2016 20:16

I've not done too well on the food front today, a case of things being out of my control and going for the easy option (pizza) Oh well, its a new day tomorrow and I'm going to go for a run. I do have yet another coffee morning though Hmm

flowerpotfairy · 13/07/2016 08:47

Quim, that last lb or so is the hardest to shift when you don't have much to lose. Keep going, it will happen.
I haven't weighed myself this week as I have had a sickness bug and the only thing i could stomach was toast...not great on low carb diet haha. Feel a bit better today so going to try be good again!

geeup · 13/07/2016 17:43

Hello. I haven't been doing that well this week. After a weekend of bbqs and a pasta dinner last night, I haven't lost anything but hoping I'm going to get home early tonight and go for a walk or a run...

BeautyGoesToBenidorm · 13/07/2016 17:52

I haven't done so well either, geeup. Had a migraine for the past 3 days and just haven't been all that careful with what I eat. Going to avoid the scales for a week or so, and just get back on course! We'll get there Smile

QuimReaper · 13/07/2016 19:40

I've been great today and will be tomorrow but I know Friday is going to be messy!

I want to be extra-flat-tummied for the wedding (NEXT FRIDAY! ARGH!) but I have plans involving eating and drinking on the Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday Confused

If I can bring myself to be good this weekend (after Friday's revelries) I wonder if it will be OK...

QuimReaper · 13/07/2016 23:35

I can't work out why losing weight hasn't changed my shape more.

I've never had a figure that looked good unclothed (even at a teeny tiny sz6) but now I'm actual certified "skinny-fat": wearing size 8 clothes but jiggling like a jelly under them Confused

I guess fat loss is harder than weight loss.

Stylingwax · 13/07/2016 23:43

Ooh hello can I join? I'm trying to shift a stone, lost about 4lb in first ten days but I think that was the easy 4... Have been using the WW app and sticking to their smart points thing which I quite like, but have had a difficult day and have gone nuts with a box of chocolates.
Back on it tomorrow. Would like to have another lb gone by way in on Monday still.

SimonNeilshair · 14/07/2016 07:35

Morning, I had a good day yesterday calorie wise, going out for lunch today though. I will try and pick a low calorie option. I also need to do my run on the C25k programme. Progress is all feeling rather slow right now, and I'm bloomin starving Confused

QuimReaper · 14/07/2016 10:17

Welcome stylingwax of course you can join, we are a very nice fred who are very understanding about having a mishap with a box of chocolates Grin Back on it today though, double quick!

Simon you need to channel geeup who had sparkling water in a restaurant. I thought she deserved a medal.

Maybe it's just me but I just don't worry about what I eat when I go for a meal out, and try to just get straight back on it afterwards. I want to lose weight but I think life's too short to blight my enjoyment of lovely treats, I'd rather remember a gorgeous meal out with friends than remember agonising over the menu, food envy and wine anxiety.

But then, I am very invested in my enjoyment of restaurant meals Grin

QuimReaper · 14/07/2016 10:18

I have been good since Monday and my belly is still looking sizesome. I think I might be ahem constipated Blush

Any tips for getting things moving?

MrBoot · 14/07/2016 11:53

Strong coffee first thing in the morning Quin!

MrBoot · 14/07/2016 11:59

I'm really stuck. I need to lose a stone. I'm doing 5:2 and finding it much harder this time. I'm constantly hungry. Trying to eat more protein to manage the hunger pangs. I'm trying to stick to 1450 calories on non fast days and I keep splurging at the end of the day. The last time I did 5:2 I didn't count calories at all on non fast days and still lost a pound a week. I'm flummoxed. I recently did a low cal Bootcamp and lost five pounds that went straight back on again as soon as I ate normally. I wonder is my body getting used to yo yo ing. I'm getting very down about it now.

justjuanmorebeer · 14/07/2016 13:01

I'm still being sensible apart from yesterday where I had a very calorific reeces wafer chocolate bar. Not weighing myself until Sunday, the day before my holiday. I really hope I have lost another 4lbs min in the two weeks will bring me to 8st. I don't feel any lighter particularly, but think I may look a bit slimmer in my clothes. Wearing jeans today that feel ok.

I have my last day at work tomorrow at a job I have been in a long time. Hope I am not tempted by drinking too much to celebrate (relief!)

I will be working at home most of the weekend and other than a cinema trip I have not planned any meals etc that I could go crazy at.

wonderstuff100 · 14/07/2016 20:38

Hi, can I join you all. I'm 12stone 2 and really want to lose a stone in 5 weeks for a friends wedding. I just bought a dress for her hen do this weekend and am mortified that I can't even do the zip up. This is the heaviest I've ever been and I'm determined to lose it. Starting afresh tomorrow with a weigh in and a workout in the morning after the school run, then gonna really meal plan, cut the carbs to once a day. I KNOW I can do this, but would love people to talk to about it!

QuimReaper · 14/07/2016 20:39

55.9!!!

GrinGrinGrinGrinGrin

I know it's an arbitrary victory but I haven't seen a 55 in years!

MrBoot · 14/07/2016 21:34

Well done Quim!!!!!!' I'm 60.4 and would dearly love to be 55!!!

Smartcar7272 · 14/07/2016 21:39
