I'm 11 stone! The heaviest I've ever been and would like to be 9.5, but a more realistic goal is 10.

I've put on due to multiple rounds of IVF and being banned from exercise.

I'd like to control my portion sizes, have a few less treats (avoid stress rating) and move a bit more (maybe low impact exercise rather than previous hill running which I'm banned from).

I'll also be using my fitbit to track activity vs calories.

Anyone care to join for motivation and support?

Not a great day yesterday exercise - had to go to London with work (I live in the North of England) and by the time I got home it was gone 8 and I was just too tired to go out again on my bike. I guess I still did 4 miles on my bike (cycling to the station and back) plus quite a lot of walking / stair climbing / sprinting when trying (and failing) to catch the earlier train.

Did OK with the food though.

Today going ok so far. Steak and salad for lunch (was at soft play - it was the only "chip free" choice plus a couple of miles walking there and back plus quite a lot of running round after ds.

Quim That's great! Not far to go for you now!

Reply bad day yesterday. We went to Wimbledon....pimms, strawberries and cream, piri piri chicken, chrisps, cookies, iced late and mcD' on the way home. 😨 fab day though! 😁

Butterpuff · 07/07/2016 14:52

*really even.

MrBoot · 07/07/2016 15:01

Butter yesterday was not a day to worry about diet. It isn't as if you are at Wimbledon every day :)

Butterpuff · 07/07/2016 17:04

That's what I was thinking as I ate everything in site! MrBoot but now I have to be very good today!

Has anyone tried any of Jamie's 15 minute meals? They are delicious, easy and with a calorie count so you can choose ones which fit. Lots of salads and flavour. We are working our way through the book.

Also I found a daily workouts app a couple of days ago which I'm now in love with. You can choose what area to target (or all) and 10, 20, or 30 minutes. 30 seconds per exercise and a little film clip to follow showing you what to do. No big explanation so only good if you already know how to do the exercises properly but I think good. Especially for fitting in a quick 10 mins. Just thought I'd share. [Smile]

Morning all, a much better day for me yesterday. I've made myself some cashew nut energy balls for that mid afternoon lull. Hopefully that will keep me going until dinner time.

butterpuff so jealous you went to Wimbledon, you definitely had to sample all the delights! What is the name of the workout app?

I've got to make two cakes today for school...I must make sure I don't sample them!

QuimReaper · 08/07/2016 10:34

I was out last night so it all went to shit, but I clocked about 13 (hilly) kms on MMW on just a smoothie and two BabyBels, then had a smoked salmon sandwich to line my stomach just before I met my friend (and to stop me suddenly deciding a cheeseburger was a good idea!) but then I had toast when I got in... And DP and I are going to buy our wedding rings this afternoon and then go to the pub. The weekend begins!

I weighed in at 56.3 yesterday though: still not in the 55s but hopeful I can manage it next week, and then hit the 54s by the week after. I'll need to be really good next week, time's a-runnin' out!

flowerpotfairy · 08/07/2016 12:16

Quim, that's a tiny weight! How tall are you? Well done!!

Are most of you doing low cal type diets? I'm going low carb and just seen the low carb boot camp on here but feel like it's too late to join as they are on week 8.

I had some salami for breakfast, walked for two hours, now having quinoa salad and another hour walk after lunch. Keep up the good work everyone!!!

BeautyGoesToBenidorm · 08/07/2016 12:39

I'm doing low cal - 1200cals per day, weekends around 1400cals per day. It's working for me, portion control has always been my downfall, so doing it this way is helping me to readjust.

How are you feeling doing low carb, flowerpot?

geeup · 08/07/2016 15:17

I'm attempting to do low ish cals (based on MFP recommendation) but I try and get my cals from protein and good fats rather than carbs.
That said last night we went out for dinner for a posh taster menu so I probably consumed 3000 cals in the sitting! Currently eating a pot of pomegranate seeds that were best before 1st July and weirdly fizzy.

Butterpuff · 08/07/2016 17:35

Simon it's called daily workouts free and is a circle with a person exercising inside it. There are a few different ones in the same group.

So far cereal and salad today.....but I went to the butchers earlier and bought bbq food for dinner, that's never going to stay under the 600 calories I have left especially with half a bottle of fizz

Mumoftwoyoungkids · 08/07/2016 21:28

Grrrr - my bike blew up on my way home from work today. (Big Bang and the tyre exploded!) Need to find another way of exercising. I have a stepper so I guess it is going to be that but am shattered and exercise inside is so much harder than exercise outside.

Weigh in tomorrow. Was 10 stone 11 last week......

8FencingWire · 09/07/2016 10:05

Just done day 5 of beginners shred. And had a coffee.

flowerpotfairy · 09/07/2016 12:28

Managed a 3 minute plank last night. It nearly killed me...

Mumoftwoyoungkids · 09/07/2016 14:32

Humph.

10 stone 11 again this morning.

Now the thing is - I know that weight fluctuates a lot and I know that I am losing weight (as I do actually weigh myself every day and the average figure is going down - plus I was 10 stone 10 yesterday).

BUT.....

I wanted to officially be able to count off another pound.

Humph.

Off to have a big sulk!

geeup · 09/07/2016 16:10

Just went to exchange a dress my DH bought me and I'm now officially a 14 :(. Nothing wrong with that - I appreciate for some that's an aspirational size but I've always been a 10 so feeling a bit uncomfortable in my skin. Newly determined...

QuimReaper · 09/07/2016 16:58

flowerpot sounds like you're doing brilliantly on the exercise, the walking seems to have really helped me! It sounds a small weight, but it was 61.6 when I first started losing, with the aim of hitting 54 by July 22nd (Big Wedding Day) so still 5lbs to go. I have a teeny little frame, very narrow shoulders, hips and ribs, so the extra stone I've been carrying has just been sitting in a big jiggly spare tyre around my middle. I wish I could get away with carrying a bit more and just get a juicy bum and terrific rack like my friend does, but alas I just get a podgy ET belly Sad

QuimReaper · 09/07/2016 17:00

Mumof I SO know the feeling of the scale not cooperating, but that really is why they say not to weight every day and to rely on measurements rather than weights. Harder said than done, I know, but try not to get too hung up on it, it really is to do with so many things - even drinking a glass of water will affect your weight.

flowerpotfairy · 09/07/2016 20:22

Arrrghhhh just wrote a massive long reply to all of you and my phone had a fit and lost it. Baby now crying so can't rewrite but basically, keep going girls, you're all going great!!

SimonNeilshair · 10/07/2016 21:58

A 3 minute plank! That's amazing flowerpot I feel the pain just thinking about it!

Keep going mum it will show on the scales next time!

I hope my scales cooperate for me tomorrow. I went on a massive bike ride this morning and did a run yesterday so I hope that helps. The only thing with exercising is that it increases my appetite Blush

SimonNeilshair · 11/07/2016 08:54

138.8lb this morning so 1.2lb lost. I have 5 weeks until my SiL's wedding so if I can do that every week I'll be happy.

I might start the plank challenge today flowerpot you've inspired me

Mumoftwoyoungkids · 11/07/2016 10:52

Quim You are right - I need to stop weighing myself so much. But I've weighed myself pretty much every day of my adult life. Right now I need to get rid of the "chocolate kills all ills" unhealthy habit - the weighing can wait.

However.... I have come up with a brilliant solution! (Before I say this I should explain that I am a mathematician.) Weighted rolling average.....

I weigh myself every day and calculate the average over the last ten days with a higher weight (boom boom!) for the nearer days. I have made a spreadsheet and everything.

With luck the normal weight fluctuations will level each other out and I'll be able to see a sensible gentle falling.

And if not - well it was lots of fun making the spreadsheet! Grin

10 stone 10 yesterday. 10 stone 9 today. My weight is going down. And now I have a spreadsheet. Life is good. Grin

Just need to persuade ds that he would rather go to his pre-school trial on the bike than in the car. (It is pouring down). He is three so is very reasonable about everything. Grin

BeautyGoesToBenidorm · 11/07/2016 17:10

My weight is going down. And now I have a spreadsheet. Life is good.

This made me smile Mum! Smile I've got a shiny new mid year family diary which is still in the wrapper, I'm ridiculously pleased about it and am looking forward to putting in lots of unnecessary dates and reminders 'n shit!

10st 3lb today! And I've just come home from an 8 mile walk. Really chuffed about the weight loss, as I let go quite a bit at the weekend and gorged myself ate a lot of amazing Polish jaffa cake type things, with blueberry, cherry and peach flavoured jelly fillings. MOTHER OF GOD they were good!

QuimReaper · 11/07/2016 20:24

Mumof are you my DP? Grin He's a mathster too and that's exactly the kind of thing he would do! Sounds like a great system though, and a good way around the daily-weigh-in problem (if a lot more hassle than just weighing less often...! Grin )

My belly feels huge today and I've really struggled to fast. My sister and her boyfriend came over for an impromptu Euro finals session last night, and I drank all the wine and ate loads of cheese and crackers. I'd been so good all day! Damnit!

Loulou0 · 11/07/2016 20:43

I've posted before about how my willpower goes out the window at weekends. I'm 5'7 and down to 10st 8 but would like to lose another 10lb to get back to pre baby size. I'm going to try fasting on either a Saturday or a Sunday, depending on plans. Does anyone else fast once a week.? Does it work? Will I chew my own fingers off?
