Anyone with a stone or so to lose? Fancy buddying up?

I think i would be better if i had someone i didn't want to let down!
hopped on the scales this morning and 10st1lb dead. I was about 9 stone last summer and want to get back down there! Currently struggling to get back below ten i keep stalling (and eating biblical quantities of pitta and hummus and galaxy bars... not at the same time)

I have a beach holiday coming up in 10 weeks so a few pounds gone by then would be great!!
Anyone up for buddying up with a food dairy and telling me off?

Sounds like me. Was 10st 2 a few weeks ago and felt really self-conscious on a night out with my friends. Decided to do something about it so I've been on MFP for the last few weeks, now 9st 10 (although had a few days where I wasn't counting when people were visiting, and stupidly let that carry on for a couple of days after they left). I'm not doing too badly aiming for 1200 calories, but I'm also trying to get into some better eating habits and stop over-relying on pasta.

Aiming to get below 9st so happy to buddy up!

I need to kick my ass back into gear too. I have between half and one stone to lose, and just can't motivate myself. I started losing weight on 1st August 2 years ago and would love the last bit gone by the same date this year.

What strategy are you planning to use? I'm going to use MFP, back down to 1200/1300 cals a day. I've been doing bits of Juneathon so I'll keep that up, and then at least 4 runs/classes a week which is my usual routine.

I'll have to start tomorrow though, I'm going for a very fancy afternoon tea today Blush

KanyesVest · 13/06/2015 09:15

Argh, just weighed myself and it's definitely 1 stone. I'm 150lbs, need to get to 135 by 1st August.

busyboysmum · 13/06/2015 10:52

I'm in. I'm 11 stone 5lb and I really need to lose a stone. But I'm 45 with a busy life and am struggling to find the motivation. I've got mfp and a treadmill that I haven't been on for months so I'm going to get back on it.

TurnOverTheTv · 13/06/2015 11:02

I'm in. I've been losing and putting on a half stone for what feels like months. I'm a bit fragile this morning so had pikelets for breakfast which was a bad start. Steak and sweet potato fries for dinner though, and avocado and feta salad for lunch.
I weighed in at 70kg this morning.

TiredAssShowgirl · 13/06/2015 11:29

Ohhhh I am in! Was 9 st 12 a few weeks ago, not had the guts to weigh since, but reckon I'm at or over 10 again now.

I worked fairly hard to lose a stone or so last year, i went from about 11,7 - 10, but that second one is HARD.

I want to get to 8 st 7 as a target.

Although i have just had an awfully unhealthy toast and honey for breakfast in the car Hmm

TurnOverTheTv · 13/06/2015 11:31

Good grief how tall are you all?? You all sound pretty slim to me Grin

BatCrapCrazy · 13/06/2015 11:36

I'm 5ft 10 and I'm 10 stone 10. Would like to get down to 10 stone before my wedding in September. I signed up to the bodycoach weighing in at 10 stone 3 and 6 weeks of the plan has made me put on weight and bodyfat. I'm going back to using Myfitnesspal and aiming for 1300 cals a day and running 4 miles 5 x a week. Starting Monday.

KanyesVest · 13/06/2015 11:40

I'm 5ft 2 and a size 10, so it doesn't seem to make sense that I'm nearly 11 stone, but I am! Ideally I'd be no more than 9 stone, but 9.5 will do me for now so I'm at least in spitting distance of healthy range bmi.

lastqueenofscotland · 13/06/2015 11:42

I'm 5'7/ 5'8 but very very small boned so look pudgy very quickly!

Did you take measurements Bat? Have you gained muscle?
That's so weird Kanye, we weigh the same, but I'm 5'5 and am a size 12-14

prettygirlincrimsonrose · 13/06/2015 11:53

I'm not overweight but I could see I was heading in that direction because of the way I was eating (lots of grazing, eating because I'm bored etc.) and not doing much any exercise, so it's more about developing a better attitude and feeling more in control before it becomes much harder to actually change things.

BatCrapCrazy · 13/06/2015 11:57

Yeah I took measurements. Put 1.5 inches on my waist, 2 inches on my hips. The exercise just wasn't enough for me I think. Previously I was running 20 miles a week and doing bootcamp classes 3 x a week and weight training once a week x

prettygirlincrimsonrose · 13/06/2015 11:58

Sorry, that was meant to be particularly a reply to TurnOver but I'm pretty new and not sure how to do that

TurnOverTheTv · 13/06/2015 12:00

Ah ok, that's quite a lot of exercise previously!

Mediumred · 13/06/2015 16:44

Ooh, can I join? I'm 5ft 3 and this morning I was 10 st 4! Just feeling a bit fed up cos about four months ago I was 9 st 7. I got pregnant but lost the baby at 11 weeks. Think the combination of being pregnant and then being v ill from miscarriage (hospital stay and blood transfusion) then comfort eating and drinking after has really piled on the pounds.

I've been watching my food and exercising more the last couple of weeks but have put on four pounds! Shock Still been drinking a lot of wine so think should cut down on that

I'd be v happy at 9 st 4. Off on hols at beginning of august so that's a big incentive.

lastqueenofscotland · 13/06/2015 17:10

I'm really sorry to hear about that medium :(

I've got a holiday in the middle of august so telling myself that but have a mighty hang over today so it's been a it carby!!
Did go for a run tho!!! Despite the hang over

Just got back from the pub

KanyesVest · 13/06/2015 19:36

The v naice place we had our afternoon tea gave us only half baked scones, so as well as bringing out more cooked scones, they gave is an extra chocolate bomb dessert...each. I think I've hit 11 stone just based on the last 2 hours....

prettygirlincrimsonrose · 13/06/2015 20:16

My housemate gave me homemade croissants and home cured bacon earlier. Delicious, but not helping me lose weight.

TurnOverTheTv · 14/06/2015 08:57

Ok, so yesterday was a right off.
Posh fish finger sandwich with triple cooked chips at the pub (only ate half the sandwich and a few chips, they were huge)
Shared a chocolate brownie and ice cream
Bottle of prosecco Shock
One slice of margarita pizza for dinner and a handful of fries.
Onwards and upwards today!
What's everyone's plans for today?

BatCrapCrazy · 14/06/2015 09:06

Just smashed a HIIT session on treadmill and an abs workout in the gym. Small bowl of porridge and 2 boiled eggs for breakfast now. Planning on a protein shake mid morning, sweet potato stuffed with chicken and spinach for lunch, natural yogurt, honey and blueberries mid afternoon and Turkey mince bolognaise with courgetti for tea. Taking the kids swimming this morning then maybe a walk down the beach this afternoon.
We got this ladies

TurnOverTheTv · 14/06/2015 09:15

Bloody hell. I better get my arse in gear.

Mediumred · 14/06/2015 10:49

Aww, thanks OP!

Managed a short, slow run ydy but then out for dinner with my brother, it's been great having him to stay but has meant a lot of boozing which must stop now!!

Won't make it to the gym or out running today cos of childcare but we are planning a walk to a nice park with friends if the weather holds. I have had some hangover-related toast but feeling ok now so will try to be carb & treat free for the rest of the day.

PeoniesforMissAnnersley · 14/06/2015 11:04

I'm in! I have a stone to lose, I am very very short and was 7st10 until I had surgery and couldn't exercise and ate crisps constantly for 7 months, I think I am about 8st 9-10 now, scared to check!!!

I had to put 4 work suits aside as they won't zip up, it's time to take action.
