Anyone with a stone or so to lose? Fancy buddying up?

I think i would be better if i had someone i didn't want to let down!
hopped on the scales this morning and 10st1lb dead. I was about 9 stone last summer and want to get back down there! Currently struggling to get back below ten i keep stalling (and eating biblical quantities of pitta and hummus and galaxy bars... not at the same time)

I have a beach holiday coming up in 10 weeks so a few pounds gone by then would be great!!
Anyone up for buddying up with a food dairy and telling me off?

Weighed in at 10 st this morning. 20 lb to lose. Am 5 ft 5, oddly shaped - i stop looking unhealthy overweight at 9 st 4.

today had not been great - first day of a new job, lots of brunch drinks, lunch drinks and after work drinks. Made my whole calorie allowance in booze - going to have water and lettuce for dinner.

Worryingly, todays food diary was:
Glass of champagne
2x Double rum and diet coke
1x large glass of white wine
3x bottle of beer
1x rum cocktail
i slice cake

All in all, 1100 calories give or take, over by 100. Not actually been hungry all day which is odd.

No exercise, other than walking to the station, which is now uphill on the new job -must be a positive.

In some serious awe of the exercise of some of the ladies on here , the concept of a marathon is very, very alien. Have made a climbing date with a friend though - have recently discovered i love climbing.

PointyBirds · 15/06/2015 20:55

I'll try to have a more protein-y day tomorrow. Any tips for breakfast protein? Other than bacon and eggs?

PointyBirds · 15/06/2015 20:56

TiredAss - have you seriously consumed nothing but booze and cake all day?!

TurnOverTheTv · 15/06/2015 21:16

Full fat natural yogurt with berries, sometimes I go continental and have ham/cheese/olives/tomatoes.
Sliced chicken with avocado.

Mediumred · 15/06/2015 21:28

Ooh, tired! Loving the booze and cake diet!! I've been pretty good ydy and today. Today I had a pret sushi salad for lunch and then a beef noodle stir fry for tea, skipped breakfast but had a glass of guava juice. Had a small handful of mixed nuts mid-afternoon. I cycled to and from work which I do most days but took a slightly longer route home trying to avoid the horrid london pollution and tried to face my last hill with a bit more gusto than usual!

Will have a slightly boozy night tmrw, eek, meeting mates but that's my only booze until Saturday!

TiredAssShowgirl · 15/06/2015 21:37

Not a totally normal day Pointy but yes, that's all I've had today! Booze is a bit of a staple in my industry and on a first day, a liquid breakfast and lunch is pretty normal.
I'm just lucky there were no croissants.

Tomorrow will be better! I've already got a homemade yoghurt and fruit pot and pork salad wrap in the fridge for work.

The booze and cake diet is what has got me on this thread Medium! Sushi sounds goooood - don't know where does sushi near my new office!

PointyBirds · 15/06/2015 21:47

Blimey, I'd have keeled over after the first glass of champagne for breakfast Grin

TurnOverTheTv · 16/06/2015 07:53

Good morning ladies :-) what's the plan for today?
I'm 10.12 this morning so 2lb down already :-)

BatCrapCrazy · 16/06/2015 07:59

TurnOver, I'm 10stone 12 this morning too! 3lb down. 12 to go.
Just having my pporridge and boiled eggs. Protein shake for break, courgetti bolognaise for lunch, beef stir fry for tea. Going to a bootcamp class tonight so didn't go to gym this morning. I've enquired about personal training 2 mornings a week so will hopefully be starting that next week :)
What's everyone's plans today?

TurnOverTheTv · 16/06/2015 08:05

I'm having the same menu as yesterday, no exercise today as I've got the toddler so not sure what we are doing!

TurnOverTheTv · 16/06/2015 08:06

And well done Bat

AddictedtoCrunchies · 16/06/2015 08:27

Morning. Yesterday was OK. Today's plan is:

Porridge and raisins
Ham thin, banana, melon, babybel and Walkers baked crisps
Fishcake and salad

Aiming to get in the gym tonight. Didn't go last night as physio session after work was pretty painful.

TiredAssShowgirl · 16/06/2015 08:55

Well done Turn and Bat! That's great shakes already. I was 9 11 this am, so 3 lb down - going to make sure that turns into real loss quickly (aware it is basically because i didn't eat!)!

Today's plan is:

Yoghurt and pineapple (proper natural yoghurt not fat free)
Half a pork salad wrap/burrito situation for lunch
Fish sticks as i feel i need some protein!

Dinner will be whatever is at home - i think DH got out some chicken breasts so that and veg.

I'm actually pretty proud of myself for not raiding the fridge last night when i got home. Not the greatest day, but small wins.

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 16/06/2015 08:57

10 stone 3.5 this morning, grr! I shall drink shedloads of water today and try to whoosh it all off. Also, in the spirit of the last day pre-diet I ate rather a lot of Maltesers while watching the Game of Thrones finale. However, I did Shred. Yay!

PMSL at TiredAss's food diary yesterday - what industry is this? Where do I sign up?

Today so far I have had some Greek yoghurt (full fat) and a cup of tea. Not sure what I'm doing for lunch. The work canteen is rather heavy on the stodge and chips.

Xoticdreamz · 16/06/2015 10:44

I've lost 3lbs . Going into the 8 stone +13lbs has made me smile .
Hopefully everyone will have another good day today .
Somebody brought scones , jam and cream into work ... I am avoiding .

BatCrapCrazy · 16/06/2015 11:20

Id love to be in the 9stone zone so I have a bit of lee-way. I have my wedding dress fitting next week. Luckily they will alter the dress up until the week before the wedding free of charge if needed so Ive still got 11 weeks to get rid of some flub x

PointyBirds · 16/06/2015 11:38

Today's plan is to hunt down the fucker that burgled us and stole my car last night Angry

I've spent all morning dealing with police and insurance and crime scene people so have only just managed to get something to eat - wolfed down buttered toast, not the best choice but my nerves needed it!

Haven't weighed myself either, will wait til tomorrow now.

lastqueenofscotland · 16/06/2015 11:46

Omg pointy that's awful!!! Hope it gets sorted soon.

Today has been awful so far!!
Buttered toasted bagel and chocolate (office birthday) having a jacket potato for lunch and dinner will be light. (She says....)

Bloody hell Pointy that's awful. We had similar last year, someone came into the back kitchen and stole a handbag but my mum spotted him and chased him and got it back. Hope you get your car back x
Well done Xotic

BatCrapCrazy · 16/06/2015 13:27

Oh Pointy that's awful. I hope it all gets sorted. We were burgled lAst year. They took cash, phones, ipad, tv and loads more. We found out who it was by tracking the iPad and phones. The police arrested them an hour later and we had our stuff back the following day xx

AddictedtoCrunchies · 16/06/2015 14:27

That's horrible Pointy, think you're forgiven buttery toast.

I've just bought a pair of denim shorts in M&S in a 16. And I will be in them by the start of the summer holidays. See I've told you lot so it has to happen now.

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 16/06/2015 16:10

Oh no Pointy! I hope they catch the fucker and get your stuff back too. Grr.

I had a BLT Tesco sandwich for lunch. Total calories so far 650. It was ridiculously difficult to not buy crisps and a chocolate bar too. Blush

PointyBirds · 16/06/2015 20:02

Thanks everyone. I doubt very much they'll catch him in time to get my stuff back, but the police officer said they do catch most people eventually, for one thing or another, and they usually admit to previous offences so that they don't get another big sentence later. Or something like that.

They did say there was a reasonable chance the car might turn up at some point, as they probably only took it to use it for other jobs then they'll dump it.

Anyway, writing off today as I'm about to have takeaway pizza as we're both fed up. But will be back on it tomorrow, I promise :)

TurnOverTheTv · 16/06/2015 20:08

I've cracked open some wine in sympathy :-)

lastqueenofscotland · 16/06/2015 20:26

Pointy you deserve and enjoy that pizza!
Hope it all gets sorted for you soon
