Anyone with a stone or so to lose? Fancy buddying up?

I think i would be better if i had someone i didn't want to let down!
hopped on the scales this morning and 10st1lb dead. I was about 9 stone last summer and want to get back down there! Currently struggling to get back below ten i keep stalling (and eating biblical quantities of pitta and hummus and galaxy bars... not at the same time)

I have a beach holiday coming up in 10 weeks so a few pounds gone by then would be great!!
Anyone up for buddying up with a food dairy and telling me off?

Marking students' essays so chained to my desk, but at least managing to resist snacking while I'm sat here

madwomanacrosstheroad · 14/06/2015 13:14

I have about one stone to loose and don't seem to remain motivated. Did ww last year and lost about 1.5 stone, kept it kind of off but still more to go. Have a holiday booked for mid August and know I am kidding myself by promising to start tomorrow or start intermittent fasting or or or......

I'm in . I'm 5ft 1 , I like being 8stone 4 but that hasn't been the case for about a year . Keep trying but the scales are 9 stone 1 today .
Got a holiday booked for the end of July so hoping I can really get into the mode .

TiredAssShowgirl · 14/06/2015 13:56

Didn't do so well yesterday. Got a muffin while out with DM, ended up getting an M&S dine in for dinner, duck breasts and i fried off some left over potatoes in the rendered fat - it was lush though Blush Plus pudding and wine. Deciding that the impulse start day of a diet can't be effective.

I'm thinking of doing 1000 cal during the week and enjoy myself at weekends. Much easier to keep calories down at work tbh.

I'm 5 foot 5, start looking about not overweight at 9 st 4. I've never been thin!

Today is starting better, scrambled eggs (instead of the second muffin). Going to have half portions of dinner today!

Haven't decided if I'm going to do any exercise Blush

I've just had 4 lindor balls. I have no will power Angry

TurnOverTheTv · 14/06/2015 17:20

I've just had a roast dinner, but no wine, so that's a bonus!

TurnOverTheTv · 14/06/2015 17:25

Oh Bat you were doing so well!

BatCrapCrazy · 14/06/2015 17:31

I know. It's still worlds away from my usual Sunday binge. Last week I ate a massive bag of Doritos, 4 toffee crisps, a box of maltesers and a bowl of Icecream lol. I have ishoos

TurnOverTheTv · 14/06/2015 17:39

Ah ok, definitely better then! I've just had a bottle of ginger ale, God knows why, I never drink fizzy pop. Logged it on MFP and 500ml came up at 300 cals, what a bloody idiot I am.

BatCrapCrazy · 14/06/2015 17:42

Awww no! It's surprising isn't it. I couldn't believe the calories in 4 bloody lindor balls. Never mind. I won't eat my yogurt and honey now so there's about 100 cals saved. I had sweet potato skins stuffed with chicken and spinach today. Holy moly they were amazing.

PointyBirds · 14/06/2015 17:52

Those potato skins sound good BatCrapCrazy. Do you have a recipe? I have a stone to lose, but I'm also anaemic so on the look out for good spinach recipes :)

I'm 11 stone and 5ft5. I used to hover around 10 and a half and always wanted to get down to 10, now I'd be happy to get down to 10 and a half again. I used to creep towards 11 but then pay a bit more attention and get it down easily, but it's just not happening now.

TurnOverTheTv · 14/06/2015 17:53

Can you give me the recipe? I've got a bag in the cupboard that were meant for Friday, but ended up with £10 dine in Blush

BatCrapCrazy · 14/06/2015 18:11

Yes no prob.
Bake sweet potato in the oven until the middle is soft (about 35-40 mins). Meanwhile cook a chicken Breast (I bunged mine in the oven). When they're both cooked I cut the sweet potato in half and scooped the flesh out of it. I then sprayed the skins with a bit of olive oil and chucked them back in the oven for 5 mins to crisp up. I mixed the sweet potato flesh, chopped up chicken Breast (tiny pieces) and spinach and some spring onion all together and quickly fried in with some Italian spice seasoning. Then took the skins out of the oven, put the fried mixture into the skins and put a small sprinkle of mozzarella on top. Put them back in the oven for a couple of mins and ...... Ta dah

PointyBirds · 14/06/2015 18:16

Cheers, definitely going to try that this week :)

KanyesVest · 14/06/2015 18:20

That sounds lovely, Bat, must add that to the menu here. We just had naice butcher burgers with sweet potato wedges and salad. I had my burger without the lovely crusty rolls I had got, so I'm feeling very virtuous Wink

Re binging, I find that I absolutely have to have a treat every day, and manage it even on 1200 cal limit. Lidl does amazing Italian chocolate biscuits that are only 40 cals each, so they are handy to have in the cupboard minus the two I ate earlier

Went swimming with the children earlier and I'm going to go for a plod run later.

Steala · 14/06/2015 18:52

Please can I join? I will weigh in and start tomorrow but want to lose weight and tone before an August holiday. I don't want to spend the time feeling miserable about the way I look.

BatCrapCrazy · 14/06/2015 18:52

I've got sugar free jelly in the fridge for tomorrow's sugar cravings. I am a sugar addict and I do have really bad binge eating issues so I'm hoping I can stay on track this week. 12 weeks until the wedding now Shock

TurnOverTheTv · 14/06/2015 19:22

I think I'm going to do the Harcombe Diet for the next three days. I normally do 5, but I'm popping up to London to stay with a friend, so Thursday night and Friday will be a write off.

BatCrapCrazy · 14/06/2015 19:42

I've never heard of the harcombe diet. Off to google

PointyBirds · 14/06/2015 19:57

Hey, TurnOverTheTV, our stats are exactly the same, do you want to pair up on this thread?

EvaLongoria · 14/06/2015 20:02

Hi ladies can I join. I am just over 10st as well and would like to be under 9st ideally 8.5st. I've recently started a 90 day program with The Body Coach. Was supposed to have been my first week this week but had lots of illnesses with both the kids and hubby so officially starting tomorrow. I'm going on holiday on 1st August and to South Africa in Oct and really want to be nice and trim when I go.

TurnOverTheTv · 14/06/2015 20:07

Of course Pointy that would be fab. I'm going to re-weigh in the morning.
I love The Body Coach Eva!

PointyBirds · 14/06/2015 21:11

Great, I will too :)

I don't have a plan to follow. DH is away this week which makes it easier to eat different food than normal, so a good chance to try new things.
