Anyone with a stone or so to lose? Fancy buddying up?

I think i would be better if i had someone i didn't want to let down!
hopped on the scales this morning and 10st1lb dead. I was about 9 stone last summer and want to get back down there! Currently struggling to get back below ten i keep stalling (and eating biblical quantities of pitta and hummus and galaxy bars... not at the same time)

I have a beach holiday coming up in 10 weeks so a few pounds gone by then would be great!!
Anyone up for buddying up with a food dairy and telling me off?

I was 10 stone before Xmas Angry

Steala · 15/06/2015 06:53

I have weighed in at 11st2. The only way is down.

juneavrile · 15/06/2015 06:57

I have a stone to lose. Holiday at the end of august. I started a few weeks ago, lost a few pounds and then lost momentum.

I will calorie count on mfp and keep carbs low-ish.

BatCrapCrazy · 15/06/2015 06:59

I'm aiming for macros of 50% protein, 25% carbs, 25% fat and keeping calories at 1250-1300. Just burnt 430 calories in gym.

We can do this

TurnOverTheTv · 15/06/2015 07:52

Ok I'm 11st on the nose.
Today's plan.
Bacon/eggs/tomatoes
Chicken and avocado salad
Devilled steak and vegetables
Natural yogurt for snack.
Exercise options
Running club
Gym and swim
Davina/Gillian at home
I've not decided which yet
Good luck ladies!

I just logged on to start a thread asking for weight loss support and here you all are. Mind if I join in?

I lost over a stone last year following WW plus with the support of a thread like this so I know it works.

I'm 5'11" so a giant compared to everyone else and I weigh 14st 2lbs. Which is awful. I'd like to be 13st as I feel good at that weight and my skinny jeans look much better. I usually do a fair bit of exercise - I ran the London Marathon in April and I play a team sport as well - so I carry a lot of muscle with a thick layer of flab on top. But I had a foot op almost 4 weeks ago so am still in rehab and can't run or play my team sport. Walking isn't great either but I'm able to use the radio machines in the gym so have no excuse.

Would love to have this thread as my conscience. Hope it's ok to join. Smile

AddictedtoCrunchies · 15/06/2015 08:28

That would be cardio machines...

TurnOverTheTv · 15/06/2015 10:09

I misread that as addicted to crunches :-) I'm adjusting my menu as I've just been to tesco and they have courgette spaghetti and cauliflower cous cous in the fresh aisle so I've been super lazy and bought them.

Sam999 · 15/06/2015 10:49

If it was crunches I wouldn't be here.. Grin Sadly it's Crunchies and they are all on my backside.

PointyBirds · 15/06/2015 12:17

11 stone exactly for me too.

No plan for today! Don't know where to start...

I had porridge for breakfast and have snacked on blueberries. I'm starving now so I'm going to have a scrambled egg on toast. I know bread is the big evil but I'm not quite ready for no/low carbing. I have no idea what to eat for dinner. Maybe I'll feed the dc separately and try some courgette pretendy pasta once they're in bed.

No scheduled exercise for today but have just booked in dd2 to the creche at the gym tomorrow, and should have a chance to do something every day for the rest of the week.

lastqueenofscotland · 15/06/2015 12:38

Hi addicted I'm a marathon runner too!

Today
Bagel w marmite
Cauliflower cheese left overs for lunch
Having a chick pea spicy thing with rice later

NO SNACKING

running 5 miles later

AddictedtoCrunchies · 15/06/2015 13:51

Hmm I wouldn't say I was a marathon runner as I've only done one! I've done many halfs though.

Have just entered a 5k on 12 August to give me something to aim for. I can't walk at the moment so hopefully that's a reasonable target. Physio again tonight.

I just need to exercise the same control over my food as I did over my marathon training.

lastqueenofscotland · 15/06/2015 13:54

I ran my first when I was 18, and someone said to me as I bawled my eyes out getting my medal. "Everyday for the rest of your life you're a marathon runner" which has always stuck with me :)

Hi , good day so far , walked to the gym , bums , tums and thigh class.
So far had , libertine honey yogurt ( delish) , low cal shapers sandwich and shapers onion rings ( 56 cals and taste great)

Hopefully the day will continue to be a good one .
Working tomorrow and I do 13 hour shifts which for some reason make me starving all day .
Hope everyone is having a good day .

JoanJettPack · 15/06/2015 14:47

Can I join, please?

Had a baby 5 weeks ago and I have a stone and a half to lose. I was 10st 8lb this morning and want to get back to my usual weight which is around the 9st mark.

I have no willpower, hate exercise and like junk food. I think counting calories and having to confess if I fall off the wagon would help me.

lastqueenofscotland · 15/06/2015 15:49

Anyone else up for posting their food diaries at the end of the day might shame me out of my galaxy habit

PointyBirds · 15/06/2015 16:10

I'm happy to post food diaries. I'm doing ok so far today, but I've been hungry all bloomin' day. So much of dieting is learning how to be hungry. It sucks.

Xoticdreamz · 15/06/2015 16:26

Yeah , I'm up for that . Hopefully they will stop me eating past 10 ... Danger zone when the goodies are tempting .

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 15/06/2015 16:51

Please can I join? I'd like to lose 1.5 stone, really - I'm 5'2" and 10 stone 2. 9 stone would be amazing and 8 stone 7 even better! I know from previous experience that even if I could get down to 9 stone 10 all my work skirts would fit better. And yet even with that knowledge I can't bloody well motivate myself! I've tried fasting - lost my baby weight doing 5:2, but now I'm back at work and am failing to food plan properly I can't stick to it. I'm going to do MFP and aim for 1200 cals. I've got a couple of big events this week, but I'm going to enjoy them and then go straight back to 1200 calories afterwards.

Exercise-wise I'm intending to Shred and I've signed up for an aerial harness class. I've been to one so far and loved it, but I am bruised to buggery and toning my waist a lot would definitely make that more comfortable.

Today so far I've had some Greek yoghurt, 2 Mr Kipling lemon slices, a cheese salad roll and a large portion of chips. Blush I feel ridiculously bloated so will try to drink lots of water and start officially tomorrow. I WILL Shred tonight!

TurnOverTheTv · 15/06/2015 18:39

Slight change to my menu today
Bacon, egg and tomato
Salmon and cauliflower stir fry
Devilled steak, corn on the cob, courgette and sweet potato fries.
Which comes in at about 1000 cals
Dinner was lovely!

Anyone with a stone or so to lose? Fancy buddying up?
PointyBirds · 15/06/2015 19:06

Looks tasty Turn :)

I just had my willpower tested hugely, but I passed! DD's rainbows group were going on a 'chip shop walk' from where they meet to the chip shop to get chips and sit out on the green to eat them. I went along as a helper and didn't have a single chip :) Well, I'd have a problem if I couldn't resist on day one wouldn't I...

Still don't know exactly what I'm going to eat later. I'm very hungry.

TurnOverTheTv · 15/06/2015 19:12

Well done you! Not sure I would have managed :-)

PointyBirds · 15/06/2015 20:04

Ok, my diary for today has been

Porridge with blueberries and a touch of golden syrup
1 scrambled egg on toast
garlic and chilli prawns with courgette
snacks through day - blueberries, strawberries, apple

I've just logged it all on to mfp and it says 803 calories in total - no wonder I've been hungry all day!

Off to have a banana cos I'm still hungry.

BatCrapCrazy · 15/06/2015 20:14

I've had:
Breakfast - 2 boiled eggs, 20g porridge oats made with 100ml skimmed milk and a tiny bit of honey
Mid morning - usn pure protein shake
Lunch- Turkey mince bolognaise with courgetti
After school- 1 boiled egg
Tea - sweet potato stuffed with chicken, spinach, mushrooms and spring onion with rocket and sweetcorn.

TurnOverTheTv · 15/06/2015 20:39

All sounds lovely. Go and get some protein in you Pointy!
