Sazz I go with one of our neighbors. We are alternating with the dhs. Dh and hers go mon, wed, fri and we are going to go tue and thur. It helps with the motivation!

OK I win lose - +5.5lb

Pointless setting myself targets as I just consistently fail to meet them but my plan is to stop all biscuits/sweets (have been quite bad this week Blush) and exercise at least 5 times a week once my back is better. Would like to lose the +5.5 in three weeks though as we are off to crisps house and she will tell me off if my tummy is too wobbly Grin

No pain, no gain LOTI Grin

My run was 700 calories burned off. I reckon i easily scoffed that in about 10 mins over the holidays HmmBlush.

This is the Cabbage soup diet we followed last time which was pretty successful. There is actually only 1/2 a cabbage in each vat of soup so you can't taste it. I think it is important for helping detox the body so if you can cope with it that would be good?

Plan is to start on Fri 13th for 7 short days - I found getting the weekend out of the way first was good and it is weigh in day so perfect?

Merlion - that sounds like a fantastic arrangement with 4 people all encouraging one another Smile

I want to get back to shredding as i was really pleased with the impact on my arms which are still my nemesis. Need to work out how to factor that into the day though Hmm

Oh and Fjorn - there will be no telling off here. Just gentle encouragement and a little poke Grin

Be careful you might lose your finger Wink

Brilliant work on the exercise you two hopefully you will spur me on once I am bendy again!

Not wanting to stand downwind of you pour scorn on the cabbage soup diet, but didn't you have amazing success then put every lb back on in a few days?

I am going to try hard to really cut down carbs and portion size & fill up with veg. Been reading low carbers and some of the losses are astonishing but really cba to be that extreme. Instead I will still be here this time next year at roughly the same weight no doubt...

I think I am about 9st6 (can't read the scale from my lofty 5'3 vantage point Hmm).

No exercise this week . Well done loti and Crisp!

CrispLeCrisp · 07/01/2012 14:16

Rodriguez - 9st6 is amazing! I am supposedly 5'4 now and nearly 11 stone Blush

Anyhoo, to try and combat this i have just shredded - Level 1 with weights. Get me. On a Saturday and everything Grin

Fjorn - You are right that most of it did go back on, but and you were there so should recall it was mainly due to large quantities of cocktails and fry ups which i shovelled in during the weekend to the Emerald Isle

Loti hope the cold goes soon. Managed a very short swim yesterday.

Indeed 9st6 is about my target. I am a couple of inches taller though in heelsGrin. In all seriousness I'm 5'7".

I'm 5 foot 7 too and 9 stone anything is a distant dream... Would like to get to 10 something but have not managed to get within a stone of that apart from two weeks in the last two years. Currently nearly 2 stone over BlushBlush

But, normally I would start the week 3, 4 or occasionally even 5lb up on Friday's weight due to excessive carbs and booze whereas today I am... -1lb ShockGrin Tried really hard not to stuff food in and had very few carbs - two bread rolls on Friday, two tortilla wraps on Saturday and a few boiled potatoes on Sunday. Seems to have worked! Although obviously there won't be lots of water retention to wee out over the next few days.

Not ready for shredding yet, back still achey,, but trying to keep busy.

i am so cruelly, foully tired due to non-sleeping DD, feeling too ground down to do anything much this week. still eating ok but i'm not beating myself up about anything. if i can scrape up the energy for exercise, i will do some; otherwise i just want to curl up and hide.

CrispLeCrisp · 10/01/2012 16:36

LOTI - please do rest - i was achey and horrid yesterday. Had a bath when the girls went to bed and then had an early night. I am feeling much better today Smile. Bender, you too - listen to your body.

Shred Level one with weights done.

Food over the weekend not so good, but then it was my b'day Grin

Fjorn - loving the diet success.....well done!

FjorGynAndHotWater · 10/01/2012 20:03

rod you are still fully bfing and that's enough exercise for anyone!

loti did you go to the doctors?

crisp well done re shred again.

Been quite busy today, walked to nursery at lunchtime which is 1.5 mile round trip then the sniff of spring in the air had me in the garden for two hours sweeping and washing the disgusting, filthy, mossy, leaf-covered decking. It looks lovely now but I am achey so off in the bath soon I think.

Was v good at teatime too - had spicy chicken/pepper/mushroom/sweetcorn which I would usually roll up in tortillas and bake in the oven covered in cheese well DH had his in tortillas but I had mine as stuffed pepper filling still covered in cheese Grin was delish too. Spoiled a bit by scoffing three chocolate pennies after but they were only smallish ones...

Did 35 mins at the gym, still feeling rough tho doc said it was just viral which I had figured out anyway Hmm

Also have a few suspect spots Hmm really hope it's not round three of chick poxs for me!!Confused

Your Doc seems to diagnose 'viral' an awful lot LOTI Hmm

2.5 mile walk to and from school Smile. I suddenly realised it was a beautiful afternoon and a walk would be nice. I literally ran out of the house and most of the way to school and then pushed both girls most of the way back home uphill in the buggy .

I was verging on backing out of my cabbage soup efforts next week as i realised we are out on Sat night. However i have decided to start it Friday, do my best on Sat re food (and drive) and then do the rest of the week. Have bought all the stuff today so no more excuses/attempts to swerve it.
